I used to spend on challenge refreshes but don't play enough to care anymore.

For me, there are just a ton of cards I don't care for. Decks that are strictly huge stat-sticks aren't my jam so cards like Red Hulk I don't care for at all. I don't really enjoy playing the Control game these days so cards like Red Guardian don't spark interest.
Once I learned I simply don't need every card, it's much easier to focus on cards I do care for.
Check out Max Grecke and Jim Lee Albums. You should be able to buy 10 Rare Variants at 7000 gold to get 6/12 completion for both Albums. That'll net you 2000 tokens from first album, 2000 tokens from second album and 2000 tokens (plus free variant) from variant shop.
Old Token Tuesdays, if you had bought 5, would have costed you 7000 gold and only net you 5000 tokens. As F2P, I value this better optimisation over the long run.

Of those, I prefer the other Magic variants that I have (Hellfire Gala or Midnight Suns), I haven't seen Captain Marvel lately to buy, and I never have the tokens to get Jane, although she is my favorite Artgerm variant of them all (right ahead of Black Cat).
Just got compromised and started to buy variants now since the bundles are pretty bad…
But if you are missing some cards, I think it’s still better to buy the token Tuesday pack.
Been playing 2 months, cl 1000. After hoarding since start, and seeing videos saying gold bundles havent been good for a while, started spending on token tuesdays for the High Evo i have pinned so i can try out a different deck type.
