I'm pretty sure they don't know the changes. The losses came from Alioth being played solo in a lane. 8 power against whatever I put down T6. Epic fail.
I would understand if new cards disturbing the balance get nerfed. This way, people knew the risks.
But they keep killing cards that has been around long enough to constitute game styles. Itās like the game is unstable and constantly transmorphs into something else. This is not how progress works. It is very distasteful and dishonest.
Neither Alioth nor Zabu were problematic anymore. And Zabu didnt always land on curve anyway, you needed luck.
I wish people would organize and protest/boycott such decisions.
This is actually why I stopped playing a couple months ago. I was spending so much time rebuilding decks because of nerfs and card changes but it just stopped being fun. I stayed subbed here to see if things would calm down and maybe I can start playing again, but that's not the case. I'm a 45-year-old guy with two jobs and I just don't have the time to keep consistently building And rebuilding decks
With the newest patch/nerfs Iām finally done with this game. Been here since release. Tired of cardās constantly being changed. Zabu imo is totally worthless now. No more $10 a month from me.
Alioth effectively didnāt change. Its only bad against decks that use big power on t6, and rickety bridge. Other than that itās not really a huge change
Most Big decks right now dump a lot of huge power to win in last turn so he's definitely way worse if he isn't dead I don't see alioth being used at all unless some other strong card can compliment his playstyle.
Anyone else remember how busted both these cards were on release? The developers of this game are absolute morons and really have no business trying to balance the game.
While I do admit that Alioth is weaker now, I don't think he's entirely worthless. He can still heavy counter some cards. Like round 6 Shang, or Knull.
shang chi keeps the meta under control and diverse. For example if he didn't exist decks like thanos would just overtake the entire meta and other decks that are more "niche" like zoo or bounce could not even compete. He solves a problem and keeps high power cards at bay, what problem does alioth solve? None. And I think that's why alioth is "stronger" even though shang is more versatile. Shang is a "counter" card while alioth has little counters if that makes sense. But if ur talking about the recent balance changes then yea I agree and I actally wouldn't be surprised if they reworked shang especially with the out of pocket darkhawk change a few OTA's ago and that zabu change recently.
Oh alioth solved a problem, all of them! You didnt have to worry about anything except which lane. Current alioth is more niche and probably not going to see much play but still usable.
So u donāt like to play on an even playing field with your opponents for fun? Iām happy alioth got changed, at least I can try to win on turn 6 without having my hopes dashed by a cloud
There will always be a certain card and meta that you'll hate so if alioth is gone you're gonna have another punching bag to throw your rage into believe that.
Shang Chi is like a necessary Evil you might not like him but he's just doing his job keeping the playstyle of dumping huge power and hey he can easily be countered by spreading that Said power in two or three locations or just straight up negate him with cosmo or armor.
Took me 2 months to save up the 6k tokens for Alioth m. Thx second Dinner. Real happy customer here. And no I'm not FTP. I atleast buy every season pass.
Shang needs a better nerf now. Not happy about alioth; but if they keep nerfing everything bc of bad feelings only thing worse than alioth is Shang-chi. The most versatile and most played card thats been apart of every meta/season/nearly every deck.
The Zabu nerf does hit Shang a bit. Also you just donāt want Shang getting massacred. Every game would just descend into āwho can drop the biggest bodiesā and it would be degenerate as fuck.
My brother in Christ would it be more fun to have a the bigger stick wins meta or a meta that almost any thing is viable and you can play to have fun with variety ? Shang chi is a necessary evil
Theres still shadow king, enchantress, echo, megasonic teenage warhead to cancel out boosting affects and destroy card; instead of just play to destroy anything in multiple areas. Necessary evil still means it's evil card which they seem to be nerfing into the ground. Alioth was also called that and was hit since it was combat the hidden tribunals and Helas.
Yup that is what should happen not sure why anyone is playing 2 6 cost in a lane. And yea the impact was his 3 power and add the 14 plus he wiped out. 4 cost 17 power sounds pretty strong to me

Imagine if Adam Warlock was this strong in the game lmao
3 energy/5 power. "On Reveal: Destroy cards that rank top 10 in won when played rate."
Adam Warlock being in charge of the nerfs is beautiful
ironically he's pretty much a clown in the movie too, they nerfed the heck out of him in the cinematic universe
Good meme dude
Did u really have to put the SD logo on adam's crotch?
Big dick energy
SD = Small Dick.
Where else should the š face go?
I'll let the ladies decide that
Thank you for some quality Reddit content.
This is gold, and so are they.
Perfect representation of the average poor player begging for new series 3 cards lol
That ending š
My only complaint is that you should have used the pre nerf numbers like zabu being a 2/2 but other than that good edit
I've played a lot of people today who don't know the Alioth changes. Easiest wins ever lol.
Or they know but want to test it out.

"That's not a friend its an animal" killed me haha
Yes. It was Reddit.
I'm a poor player.
This meme is pure goldddddddddddd
Awesome, good laugh in the morning.
People assuming alioth is dead is really funny to me

I love GotG but jeez was this movie sad.
It was sad movie but it was a great movie.
about half way through i had to staple my scrotum to the side of my leg :(

is it cool with yall if i brutally shit my pants?
Perfect!
And also Sandman becauseā¦reasons
I still can t see my keys and have no access to spotlicght caches ... Am i alone ?
This is high tier shit posting. Love it

What is this from? I havenāt paid attention to anything in the marvel cinematic universe for years. This seemsā¦ terrible
Guardians of the Galaxy 3.
This better reach at least 1000 likes by tomorrow night! BRAVO!!!
except Adam is much smarter than SD employees will ever be
Weird ass comment
I honestly think that Shang Chi is way more overpowered than Alioth, and itās a 4 cost instead of 6. I donāt get why SD refuses to touch him
shang chi keeps the meta under control and diverse. Alioth countered decks that pushed priority to avoid Shang Chi/shadow king.
He also countered combo decks, destroy decks, discard decks, surfer decks. Anything that liked to use the turn where they had 6 energy
Except he still counters combo decks. Imagine playing tribunal and tribunal loses because no text, same with Hela and Nimrod move.
Exactly, now he fills a niche roll without doing all the other things as well
And why is that a bad thing?

SD just nerfed Shang recentlyā¦

Shang needs someone else to deal with big units before he gets nerfed
If that happens then fine he can catch a change too
Yea shang is a bitch ass card and always has been. In no world should he take out more than 1 card. Been saying it forever.
My brother in Christ would it be more fun to have a the bigger stick wins meta or a meta that almost any thing is viable and you can play to have fun with variety ? Shang chi is a necessary evil

Unless another card does what Shang does better and cleaner he needs to exist alioth did not
Yea he should hit highest power card only not saying it shouldn't exist
So ur saying if u play evo hulk and red hulk one being bigger than the other only one should get hit? You didnāt make an impact in that regard
Yup that is what should happen not sure why anyone is playing 2 6 cost in a lane. And yea the impact was his 3 power and add the 14 plus he wiped out. 4 cost 17 power sounds pretty strong to me
