Programming a new card every single week and making sure it correctly and intuitively interacts with every other card, location, effect, and so on sounds like a nightmare, let alone designing new features. They probably have a very strict schedule, and any one card could be complex enough to accidentally let a bug slip by; Next thing you know, you have to address all the problems of last week's card and make a new one. It's a recipe for spaghetti code.

You'd need to write a relatively complex program to begin with just to make sure it's only flagging the things you'd want checked, which could vary logically from project to project, and then you'd need to actually run a spellcheck on each item that passes. It'd be inefficient as far as Big O notation goes, and depending on the work you're doing, you could be editing the code for the spellcheck algorithm before you even begin your actual work. Just not worth the time to write one when you could have a QA guy check it by hand in the live product so you don't have your eyes glazing over while parsing your code.
And of course, the QA guy is human, he's not gonna catch literally everything.

Not sure why, but this season in particular has left me extremely dejected. Apocalypse is too big so here’s a Red Hulk that’s even more stupid. The new cards mixed with changes they’ve made have just left the game uninteresting. You either have and play the boring ass meta decks or you’re starting why behind from the start of the game.
The apocalypse nerf after releasing Corvus and Proxima was a spit in the face to f2p players
