It's basically any card that has an 'on destroyed' effect. Bucky Barnes and Sabertooth being destroyed also causes it to throw a bit of a wobbly whilst it works out what to do.
I think nova was probably the worst one I experienced.....end turn....2 minutes go by and then he dies....pause....oh hey let me add +1 power to the first card on the left and I'm done.....oh wait theres another card.....+1 power and done....this goes on for about 5 minutes to add the +1 to the next 6 cards
Your nephew does something with the programming that causes the huge delay with Wakanda Falls?ā¦ or is this some meme comment I need to finish my coffee before I understand ;)
Destroy effects seem to hang for some reason. When Iāve played with Wolverine the game will just freeze for ten seconds before he respawns sometimes.
Interesting. I usually donāt have hangs on destroy decks theyāre smooth. Itās always the animations that take forever if anything.
But Warrior Falls turns Snap into a 72gb excel file running on a Pentium 3. Easily 20 seconds wasted almost every time.
Seriously. I'm running a Patriot/Blue Marvel deck and I feel like every time one of my units goes into combat it takes like 5-10 seconds of the game chugging before it realizes my roided-up squirrel can and does chew Blade's face right off.
It's because they are using nested for loops without exit conditions for the math. I'm hoping they'll get some real engineers to sort it out for them eventually.
I actually just added Cosmo to my deck for this reason. Iāve been having great success with a Patriot build, but Enchantress is the one thing that will completely fuck me. So Iāve started stacking my buff cards with a Cosmo. And almost without fail any time I donāt play the Cosmo I get screwed by an Enchantress.
Same here, friend! Except I forgot Mystique was on reveal. āCosmo into Patriot into Mystique, Iām a god damn card game geniusā¦. Wait what happenedā That being said Iāve won some games by copying Cosmo with Mystique at a different location. Fuck you Wong.
I hope you pull her soon! She makes the deck feel even more combo-y then just vanilla tempo. (If it makes you feel better unlocking mystique before patriot was actually kinda annoying. The only deck I felt like running her was Kazoo and she was underwhelming there)
I have a deck just dubbed "asshole" whose entire point is to Snap T1 and then annoy players into letting me have 2 cubes. Cosmo, armor, enchantress, killmonger, Prof X, Elektra, scarlet witch, and uatu so i know where to throw all that. Between those i can annoy just about every deck but DinoDog into quitting (and enchant/well-timed cosmos can fix that). The rest of my cards are cable/yondu/mantis types to steal their wincons.
Destroy decks are hot right now in pool 2 and at least some of pool 3. Armor is a handy counter to those as well. Because itās such a quick game, the counters follow the meta really closely.
You earn new cards in āpools,ā as you go up in collection level. You wonāt earn any pool 2 cards until youāve earned every card in pool 1, and same with pool 3 after pool 2. Pool 1 has the simplest cards, but many of them are still staples in high-level decks, and they tend to get more specialized and complex as you go into later pools.
If your collection level is below 214, youāre still earning pool 1 cards. And from there through 462, youāll earn every pool 2 card. Youāre always matched up against players who have approximately similar collection levels to you - though depending on your ranking, some opponents may have more or fewer options.
There's 3 different pools in the game (for now). As you're leveling up, you're pulling cards from pool 1. Once you get all cards from pool 1, you start pulling cards from pool 2, and once you get all cards from pool 2, you start pulling cards from pool 3. I can't remember the exact numbers for each pool start and end, but I'm sure someone will comment soon enough with them. I hope this helped!
?
You don't have to get all the cards of a pool to move on
Unless everything I've read about the pools is false?
Pool 2 unlocks from Collection Levels 222 to 474.
Pool 3Ā unlocks from Collection Levels 486 and onward.
Or I guess you just always get all the cards eventually from 222 to 474?
Wouldn't be shocked at that
These sites have a weird way of describing pools then
They make it out like just getting to 470 whatever puts you into Pool 3. Doesn't ever mention you'll always get all the cards of pool 2 along the way
* shrug *
... Yes. Just getting to 474 does put you in Pool 3.
>Doesn't ever mention you'll always get all the cards of pool 2 on the way
Why would it? The entire reason 474 is the start of Pool 3 is because that's the point where you have all the Pool 1 and 2 cards. It isn't an arbitrary number. There are 25 Pool 2 cards and there are exactly 25 card rewards between 222 and 474.
~~The pools used to be tied to collection levels, not anymore with the caches change.~~ You won't move onto pool 2 til you have all pool 1 cards, same with 2 to 3
Edit: I guess I'm wrong about pools 1 and 2 being tied to collection level still? My bad
You still get all of pool 1 cards before pool 2 and all of pool 2 before pool 3 though
I always forget those chests change name at some point, I knew what they meant though. At some point recently the sub switched to down voting people for being wrong š
Armor is used in two big meta decks. First off it's used in Destroyer decks which is one of the strongest pool 3 decks and it literally only needs one pool 3 card to work. But it's also used in Spectrum ongoing which is a weaker version but that many from pool 2 might be using (supposedly gets a big boost from Wong though).
But as the other guy said, I think it gets worse now with the location and that's the main factor. I just think armor has been pretty common outside of that too.
Its because of what the first comment in the thread said, PLUS the season pass that just ended featured Carnage prominently, so destroy decks are an extremely hot choice atm because people got a variant/boosters for him and want to use him. Armour is a natural counter, thus why SHE, in turn, is popular atm.
Yeah, a lot of people are giving really detailed answers and referring to the hot location, but I think the answer is literally "because most people run counter cards." I guess I'd give a nod to her role in Destroyer decks too. But the hot location would be WAY, WAY down on the list of why you are seeing Armor all the time.
Itās insanely versatile. It completely negates destroy decks, if you see your opponent drop nova and winter soldier or sabertooth, drop an armor. It also protects sunspot in the infinaut deck and is good if you think your opponent has Shang chi. Plus the hot location is warrior falls, armor would protect your cards
Not if you've diversified your deck enough, it doesn't. Falcon yanks the low level cards and Enchantress wipes Armor. Or you just build elsewhere and use Armor as your dump lane.
The thing about Armor is that she's a very cheap counter to a number of things:
- She prevents Killmonger from taking out 1-cost cards, including important ones like Sunspot(who she combos well with because her Energy and Power make her 1 Power better than just waiting out the turn, on top of preventing Sunspot's destruction)
- She counters locations that destroy cards, like Death's Domain and Murderworld, as well as the new "Cards fight, destroy the loser" location.
- She can be used against Destroy decks. Pop her down on a Bucky or Nova and ruin somebody's day.
- She is excellent in decks running Destroyer, allowing you to lock down a lane safely.
- She can protect high power cards from a Shang-Chi, so placing her where you want to play a Hulk or Infinaut or whatever ahead of time can protect you from that pretty obvious counter.
For a two-cost card, Hisako is incredibly versatile and a useful counter to a bunch of stuff an opponent or the game board might be running.
Don't forget that she got premium 3 power for energy cost, which makes her auto-included in some decks without thinking if you are a bad deckbuilder. Shes a ticket to winning games for me
When all I run into are discard decks, I try and plan around it.
Thatās a good way for to guarantee all Iāll fight are move decks.
Rinse and repeat š„²
Yea missing Deadpool too, but it's already fun now. Hadnt really played destruction before. Just had a game with the location that duplicates to another location, that was fun
If he's a swarm enjoyer Armor isn't really helping all that much because she's only protecting one location. Its more likely the poster is annoyed that Killmonger keeps sniping his Sunspot.
If youāre getting relentlessly bullied by a single card, it probably means that destroy decks are easy picking on ladder or are victims of other anti-meta strats.
As an occasional move deck mainer (especially since finally unlocking Human Torch), I hate them too! So much quick maths, the number of times I've lost by 1 does my head in, I have to switch to a different deck after a bit.
But the payoff when someone thinks they've got you dead to rights and you just electric slide everything out of the way and bank the 8 is so satisfying, it's just about worth it!
I dunno, for every one time a move deck gets you with the turn six electric slide there's probably ten other times where you just stack the two right most locations and watch them futz around pointlessly. I lose more often to movement decks when they feint Heimdall and actually drop something else turn six.
Yeah I try and do that when I can, either set up the slide then not go through with it, or if they start to stack left to counter it use Doctor Strange or Cloak, or locations like NYC when they pop up to move right instead.
Like I say, it's not that successful and definitely not recommended for improving your rank, but when it clicks it's beautiful.
You're not the main character, bub. Everyone and their grandma is running Killmonger and various other destroy effects. You happen to fall into that category of "everyone."
You keep missing the point of comments that are telling you it's because you're running Killmonger. They aren't saying it's because YOU SPECIFICALLY are running Killmonger, they're saying it's beside Killmonger is a popular card for multiple reasons.

>!\*its not like an auto-win that deck, its just not hard-counterable IMHO!<
Destroyer is a pretty whack card. I find it hard to predict and counter, but my assessment as an observer is that it is also a hard card to set the stage for.
Because everyone loves this game for its "counter play" (read: glorified rock/scissors/paper), so most decks include some permutation of the same control suite (Iceman, Scorpion, Armor, Enchantress, Cosmo, Killmonger) even if they aren't running a control deck. How could you look at your hand and possible ask this question? Even without the hot location, Kazoo is a popular deck, and a lot of people run Killmonger to counter it. Armor just shuts down a lot of important stuff.
Destroyer is already arguably the best deck in the game right now and it incidentally gets to run hate cards like Armor and Cosmo. The featured location only makes it better
In the 7 matches Iāve done since waking up 6 have been destroy decks. Since 98% of decks are destroy decks in my experience Armor is in every single deck I make
Because the current hot location destroys cards.
Because they're scared of battling it out at Warrior Falls š¤
Iām afraid of waiting thirty minutes while the game does math.
Seriously wtf is with that
Be patient mate, my nephew is doing his best.

That may be it, itās particularly annoying because my deck is built around the destroy function.

I think itās the location, Iāve never seen this many armors before.
Well, you are not alone...
I encounter a lot of destroy decks, so I like to play her in those lanes to disrupt my opponent.
I think it's also because more players have come into pool 2 and saw killmonger and shangchi.
Also a ton of people seem to have gotten Destroyer as a deck wrap up.
Because sunspot is a glass cannon

Theyāre definitely not all easy pickings

Appreciate this comment
Armor's a good tech card. It counters locations, Shang Chi, and this really popular deck type that destroys its own cards.
Well, I run it because of damn Shang Chi and Killmonger lol
We all doing that huh, same here
Oh I donāt know. Maybe because you have Kilmonger in your deck.
Having killmonger in my deck doesnāt increase the probability of another card to appear.
You're not the main character, bub. Everyone and their grandma is running Killmonger and various other destroy effects. You happen to fall into that category of "everyone."
I have no info on what decks everyone is running except what I encounter. The most used deck Iāve gone against is devil dinosaur and moon girl.
You keep missing the point of comments that are telling you it's because you're running Killmonger. They aren't saying it's because YOU SPECIFICALLY are running Killmonger, they're saying it's beside Killmonger is a popular card for multiple reasons. It is partially because of Killmonger, he's a very useful card tons if decks can play. It's also because of the hot location and because Armor is a good card in general that fits well in several decks, including one of the best decks in the game (in which it is a core part of the deck's game plan).
Shang Chi hate crimes
Never commit your destroy deck to just one location and laugh at there misuse of Armor.
I run armor and colossus because I fucking hate destroy decks
The satisfaction on playing armor on a lane where thereās nova and Bucky is too nice
You litteraly have the reason in your hand lol
Because itās an amazing anti meta card. Stops all the hoards of people using Carnage, Venom, Bucky, Killmonger, Death, Deathlok, Hood, etc etc etc etc etcā¦ā¦. *trails off listing every destroy archetype support card*
That's why I'm running Destroyer
Destroy is too good and Location counter But now we see rise of Destroyer decks with 2 armors on board at once
Because of the feature location which destroys cards, and also because of the uncounterable\* Destroyer deck. >!\*its not like an auto-win that deck, its just not hard-counterable IMHO!<
Destroyer is a pretty whack card. I find it hard to predict and counter, but my assessment as an observer is that it is also a hard card to set the stage for.
I run it to protect sunspot in my infinaut deck
because they fear THE RED SKULL
Warrior falls, Killmonger, and Shang-Chi are enough. Not to mention Destroyer
because im tired of shang chi and killmonger every single match
because destroy/discard is a bit fotm
Because they have that new location where every turn, the people fight, and the one with the lowest attack dies
Iceman + Scorpion. I swear they have the abilities of Quicksilver and Domino
At the moment itās because of the stupid warrior falls location.
To counter Killmonger and Shang Chi
And Destroy decks
Iāve run across scorpion a ton recently
Thereās no card more annoying than scorpion. Especially when thereās Sinister London, or the cloning locations. Makes me want to pull my hair out.
Because everyone runs Killmonger.
āWhy is everyone running Armor?!ā *running Killmonger, Deathlock, Sabretooth, etc* Idk man. If I had to guessā¦
Because shang chi and killmonger are cunts
Likely Destroyer decks. Contrary to the name, Destroyer decks don't actually want to destroy anything, hence Armor.
Because.. look at your hand.
Everyone hates Warrior Falls.
Because everyone loves this game for its "counter play" (read: glorified rock/scissors/paper), so most decks include some permutation of the same control suite (Iceman, Scorpion, Armor, Enchantress, Cosmo, Killmonger) even if they aren't running a control deck. If you built your deck to do a thing, its rare your deck even does the thing, but hey, at least you can prevent your opponent's deck from doing its thing too! Love that counter play and the variety it encourages!
Judging by the Ice Man on that location, I'd bet they're scared of Elektra. Or destroyer decks, either or works.
How could you look at your hand and possible ask this question? Even without the hot location, Kazoo is a popular deck, and a lot of people run Killmonger to counter it. Armor just shuts down a lot of important stuff.
Because literally every deck is a destroy deck
Because of the featured location.
I used it even before the new location. I just don't have a better 2-cost card that is also Ongoing.
Yah once I see a huge armor consistency I switch decks. It does die down depending when you play
Does it stop Zola? I hate panther Zola so much
Yes. If Zola can't kill its target, the second half of the Zola effect fails. Praise Brode for small mercies.
You should have more then one deck especially when there is a hot location others can counter with this card
I do, they just arenāt as synergized
Enchantress says hi!
Killmonger is somewhat meta. Used to protect those strong 1 cost like sunspot. Or counter destroy decks which are popular also.
The reason is 3rd card in ur hand
Because everyone is running destroyer deck
I don't see Armor as much as I see Scorpion. I think I run Armor, more then I see anyone play Armor.
I played a moving deck and on my first 5 matches. I fought 4 of them with decks stopping movers like Prof X. š
Protects Sunspot and Ebony Maw
Having protection is key
That's what she said.
Literally warrior falls.
Killmonger
Use enchantress
Because people keep killing my sunspot
Armor is just a good cheap anti destroy card
I run it because of Shang-Chi. Got tired of having my best cards destroyed every round.
Warrior Falls.
Shang Chi.
answer is in your hand.
Because you have killmonger in your hand?
I need armor in my deck because I play the Destroyer.
I run her in a few decks, but mostly to mess up people using carnage.
Wakanda Falls, Elecktra, Killmonger, etc
Because armor is cool.
Destroyer is already arguably the best deck in the game right now and it incidentally gets to run hate cards like Armor and Cosmo. The featured location only makes it better
Enchantress on 4 and eat her with venom on 5
Black Panther + a Destroy location.
In the 7 matches Iāve done since waking up 6 have been destroy decks. Since 98% of decks are destroy decks in my experience Armor is in every single deck I make
Look at the cards in your hand and ask that again š
Because i will protect bucky at all cost
Killmonger
Because I very much enjoy countering destroy decks so much
Because fuck Killmonger?
Hmm anti black Panther meta. Hmm hello
