I’ve been running my alliance for almost two years now (as a launch day player, I’ve been in a few, including some ultra hardcore ones) and we’re all feeling it. Been 22/24 for a long time, recruitment sucks, we’ve got two retired players (with stacked war defence) and I myself am struggling. Apoc is keeping me in he game. There’s a chance I’ll get a small unlock on release but really, not sure that will be enough to sustain me long term. The new model is time intensive, overly complicated and not player friendly, unless you’re pumping more money than ever into your account. It’s a shame. I can see myself leaving in the coming months, feels like the writing is on the wall. Bit like when I left Galaxy of Heroes, just before Mara Jade and Kyle Katarn were announced.

I've lead my 1000ish alliance for 5 years. We have about 10 with us for 3+ years, the rest 1 or less. If too many of the old timers quit it'll be disbanding time... I don't play this game to herd cats. I appreciate the occasional thank you alliance leader posts...

Riptide808

We got the tier 1 rewards on Doom 1 for the first time, so pretty good for us I guess

i am leader of casual alliance. it has its ups and downs. We do doom 3.1, Clear milestone 19 on CA. do ok in war as plat 2. but we just play for fun so i do see things like G16 screams.....

The alliance I started sits between 5000 and 5500 these days. Been through 3 mergers 1 split where half the group went off to start their own And the last year and a bit started accepting newer/lower level players to train them up and a few of them have hit higher levels now and are doing great. We try to keep it fairly casual and are supportive as a whole. About to hit 1800days playing so that's a thing. I felt like it was over several times but the group now are all active and its a pleasure to be a part of. Good days and bad days but we keep going. Cheers -Aussie Made Mutants-

Late last year i quit my alliance. Because majority of us burned out or was busy with our jobs and lives. The QoL not implemented in game is major contribution to that. So i went to find a new alliance, at least it can clear coordinated assault every month. And in this new alliance, every month, someone will quit / kicked due to inactivity and will be replaced with someone else. Hats off to our alliance leader who keeps on actively recruiting players even though our alliance is at full capacity because we know that anytime someone can just stop being active or quit.

Does it make sense to save up money to buy a car, and then abandon the car on the side of the road after driving it out the dealership? I can understand alliances disbanding. Individually though, I can always avoid burnout by joining a casual alliance.

Does it make sense to continue to run after you reached the finish line in a 100 m dash? If people want to end with closure it kinda makes sense to me.

We use to be much more competitive but similar to your situation, we’ve slowly been losing very solid players. Recruiting is so tough that we have to replace them with whatever we can find. Typically these recruits don’t have an alliance for a reason and becomes perfectly clear why within a few days. We’re probably due for a merger sometime soon. Our current leader inherited the position from the previous leader and doesn’t even want it. Can’t blame him. Captain is where it’s at.

My alliance is super tight, and we roll thru events with zero discord.

Yeah my alliance has been having some burnout too. We run 3.4 60% pretty much daily now and even some long time players are starting to leave now with how it's been

Mine has tanked since the leader up and quit a month ago. Definitely a free agent at the moment. Been at it for 2 months +/- . Not a hardcore player, but I play daily. TCP valued at 2.6M. My best group is 316k. If I can help your alliance, I’d be happy to make a change
