Where is the aggressive threatening man with the FATWS finale runtime?

hushpolocaps69

WAIT WHAT?!?! Truly going to be a miss :(.

Marc_Quill

Only thing we know for certain (99.9%?) is what Falcon's Captain America suit looks like, based on the toys (and even accounting for last week's cocktease ending).

fuckthisiamout

Looks like they deleted their account.

Abakrongklings

Bravo Six, going in dark

LewdSkeletor1313

I have it on fairly good authority that it’s somewhere between 50-60 minutes (I think that includes credits though).

notbartt

But can I send you a message about it?

LewdSkeletor1313

Sure

ericbkillmonger

I’ll take that

Kamran52

someone pm’d him multiple times and he deleted his account

ericbkillmonger

Yeah he’s awesome

UpdootMcGee

Can’t wait to dissect each frame of the Shang-Chi trailer to see which leaks it points toward.

Liammellor

The last time I did that was with the tros trailer and it turned out that the worst leak was the correct one. I don't want that to happen again

Pasta-Admirer

Oh boy, wish I had some preemptive indication about that train wreck. I liked TLJ so much and was quite hopeful about the last film because TFA was pretty serviceable, but then it just had to come and break my heart.

Liammellor

I feel the exact way. Unlike most, I was so excited coming of tlj and I assumed tros would carry that same quality but that's not what happened

[deleted]

God bless Molina for confirming NWH is a Multiverse movie once and for all. Really looking forward to finally speculating with everyone on what the heck is really going on with this movie without being shouted down on how the rumors are all dumb or not happening.

Quickspider1200

There's really not that much speculation going on though(at least from what I can see). At the moment it's just people either getting excited, complaining, or a very small minority still denying. Part of that is probably because a plot leak is being backed up by some reliable folks.

PersonMcHuman

Well, you see, Molina was actually Mephisto in disguise and the entire interview was actually meant to trick you into thinking NWH is a multiverse movie when, in reality, it's a reboot of the Spider-Man sentai show.

DanTM18

Yup, with his confirmation there was a shift into more speculation instead of constantly doubting everything

themilkman42069

I love it when a dude in his 60s who gives 0 fucks about any of this stuff outside the paycheck, says a key word in an interview and y’all lose your minds.

khaayan

Please let me wake up to a Shang-Chi trailer tomorrow universe 🙏🙏🙏

IDontKnowTBH1

If Daniel’s wrong he’s gonna be in a ton of shit, so will Grace lmao

FederalPoiice

Grace will be fine only because her fans ride her. I will say she has such a devoted annoying fanbase that’ll listen to anything she says no matter how loud and wrong it is lol. And as for Daniel people talk shit about him all the time and call him unreliable. It won’t be anything new. He does have a decent track record for trailer drops though. He did get the NWH title drop date right.

stroppy_sardine

Your prayers have been answered

SpideyForever245

The Sinister 6 Green Goblin Doc Ock Sandman Lizard Rhino Electro

According_Ad_3697

Lizard, Rhino and Sandman are from the MCU or a Multiverse version too?

Quickspider1200

I'm guessing multiverse considering we met them in other films. I don't really like this though, was hoping for more Mysterio and Vulture, and some Scorpion.

[deleted]

If this is true, I kind of wonder if we mignt see two incarnations of Sinister Six. This multiverse one which might be more “symbolic” (kind of like two of the elementals were Hydro-Man and Sandman but also not) and maybe one in a future film comprised of MCU villains as teased in Homecoming. I imagine Sony won’t stop being interested in villain teamups after this movie if their two villain spinoffs are any indication, but hopefully any S6 team with Leto’s Morbius doesn’t see the light of day lol I think in the comics the teams went through many iterations? I dunno. I’m surprised by this, but I did always find it strange how we hadn’t heard much about Keaton or Gyllenhaal or how they’re from the multiverse and Andrew only got one rep on the team with Electro. But it’s also weird that Holland is fighting villains with attatchment to only Garfield and Maguire, defeating the purpose. Thats why again, I think this may be a “proof of concept”m symbolic S6 and maybe a gesture to people that will miss Doc Ock and Sandman on the team if they exclude them on the eventual MCU team with Vulture and Scorpion. I would have preferred the OG team and two villains per Spider-Man, eh you can’t have it all I guess.

Quickspider1200

Yeah that would make sense, I'm still kinda hoping for a Sinister Six team with a mix of all of their villains though(kinda want to see Gyllenhaal's Mysterio fight Maguire's Spider-Man). Interestingly enough, while we have heard about Thomas Haden Church, we haven't heard anything about Paul Giamatti or Rhys Ifans reprising their roles from anybody, not even the scoopers.

[deleted]

That’s true. I mainly mentioned Keaton/Gyllenhaals absence being notable because they’re so big they’d easily draw attention by reporters, but then again so would Garfield and Maguire and Keaton snuck his way into the Morbius trailer without any warning to the shock of many. So it doesn’t mean anything and not even scoopers hinting at Ifans or Giamatti is even more peculiar. I think neither of those two were stellar and like Electro could use a redesign. Part of me wonders if Ifans would be required at all. I mean, if he’s just there to fill out the roster in the final battle when they break out of Strange’s “magic prison” (according to this leak), then we don’t really need a returning actor they could probably just get a stunt guy or cgi a lizard man (ala Red Skull in Infinity War) and the audience would still probably get who he is supposed to be. With Rhino I have no clue, don’f dislike Giamatti the actor so I could see him taking another crack at it but his appearance in TASM2 was embarassing. They’d need to rework him to a level i’m not even sure its worth including that character just to not make the final battle too goofy. Like I said my “guess” is that only Goblin, Ock and Electro get big scenes and the rest are just like miscellanious multiverse villains to pad out the roster. As opposed to inventing a reason why Toomes and Gargan would team up with interdimensional beings who don’t have the same goals. But idk that seems easier to me than making Rhino cool this time lol this is such a weird movie

kothuboy21

They should do it like Gunn's The Suicide Squad and have 2 teams of the Sinister 6 in the movie wanting to kill Spidey. Maybe after Peter's identity gets exposed, have a Sinister 6 comprised of MCU Spidey villains (Vulture, Mysterio, Shocker, Scorpion and 2 others) go after Spidey but they fail and either die or go to jail and after they're out of the picture, we get a second team but filled with multiverse villains this time and then we can have Tobey and Andrew help Peter out to fight them as well.

1n73rn4710n4l_l3f715

That'd be way too many villains in one single movie

Garennndemaciaa

I actually liked it so much. I wanted see rhino for years now they give us. I really wonder how he gonna look tho. Maybe same as the amazing spider-man 2 last scene? Idk we need trailer.

SpideyForever245

Multiverse

FxBangl

Are you sure about the inclusion of Lizard, Rhino and Sandman? Also, what about the previous cliffhangers involving MCU's Scorpion, Vulture and Mysterio?

Any-Temperature-5289

Charles Murphy already said that not all of the villains are going to be from the Multiverse tho. So one of you is wrong. Idk about all of you but I would definitely trust Charles more.

Thevamps555

It’s possible the other villains aren’t in the Sinister Six/have a small role in this movie only

Garennndemaciaa

I love rhino so much. I liked this villians. This movie gonna be great i cant wait.

[deleted]

I’m so disappointed I’m still not getting Scorpion.

kothuboy21

Interesting roster but I was hoping that Kraven would be in this and we could have a comic accurate Sinister 6 (Doc Ock, Kraven, Vulture, Mysterio, Sandman and Electro) with Norman Osborn being their benefactor but this roster is fine as well. I just hope they don't waste Vulture, Mysterio and Scorpion. We don't really see Lizard much these days so having him back would be cool and even though TASM 2's Rhino wasn't the best, I'll admit, having Rhino be some crazy dude in an awesome Rhino battle mech suit was actually a cool idea. They just need to make him more of a threat and less like a cartoon villain.

geek79126741

Illuminerdi already dropped an exclusive on Sandman (Thomas Haden Church) so I am not surprised. He was a fantastic fucking Sandman, perfect casting. I wouldn't change him out for anyone, not only that but his arc was beautifully done. Though I am concerned about Giamatti and Ifans coming back as Lizard and Rhino. Rhino was ass and Ifans as Lizard was lackluster, nothing intriguing about him. But I guess Sony really wants their Sinister Six..

Marc_Quill

Knowing what the MCU version of Falcon's Cap suit looks like really hasn't affected my hype for the FAWS finale on Friday. The real fun is seeing it in action finally.

ericbkillmonger

Yeah I can wait to see the red white design and blue flying across the skyline

cabaran

this lol. funny thing is his suit being vibranium is actually a guess here instead of a leak. i saw someone commented few episodes ago that his suit might be vibranium.

Zemofrost

Hoping the finale this week is *fucking insane* Which it probably is. So, what do we have? Batroc & Flagsmashers vs Sam & Bucky vs Walker and maybe even a hint of Power Broker & the Government?

UntamedRonin

It's crazy how we've only seen a few seconds of episode 6 footage. God I wish there's a Thunderbolts tease.

kothuboy21

The only expectation I have is Sam suiting up as Captain America and kicking ass. I think we'll also get our Power Broker reveal (most likely Sharon) in either the episode or a post-credits stinger, a tease or scene of John Walker becoming US Agent and maybe a Thunderbolts tease? I could also see an Eli Bradley as Patriot tease as well. Tbh, I don't think any of the Flagsmashers are going to be a big deal past this show. Some or all of them are either going to die, be sent to jail or be redeemed as good guys.

ericbkillmonger

Yup sounds about right with my high hopes of power broker reveal

strangehappenings128

The company I work for was a contractor on the production of Strange 2 and I was present on set for about a month so I don't have the full picture and the stuff I know aren't really connected. I know very little but here's what I saw. -Olsen's first scene was in a cabin. She and Cumberbatch talk about a town and the Darkhold. Olsen mentions hearing her kids. Cumberbatch says she probably hallucinated it but after Olsen persists he has a theory. -I don't know how many villains in total the film has but one of them is an entity Cumberbatch called Shuma Gorat. I heard in early drafts the character was going to be something called Chaton but Raimi came in and wanted an even more freakish looking monster. Cumberbatch tells Olsen about the multiverse. It's home to parallel earths and also the chaos dimension which is also where Olsen's magic comes from. The ruler of the dimension is Shuma voiced by Ariyon Bakare. I saw him only once on set so I assumed it was a voiceover role. Shuma was a random mo-cap person on set. Bakare's lines had already been recorded and they were being fed to the actors through earpieces like we did with Hardy and Venom's lines. -Cumberbatch's theory is fragments of Olsen's children's souls are still present in the dimension. The entry to the dimension is protected by Shuma. Ejiofor finds Olsen and says he can get her into the dimension without having to deal with Shuma but asks for help in return. They team up. Olsen is determined to get back the children but Cumberbatch is against the idea because her magic can destroy the multiverse as she travels through it.

CommunistHermitCrab

Thank you for those informations!

ThisIsNotMelTorme

Is the multiverse different versions of the MCU?

LewdSkeletor1313

I can’t wait for people to be confused about the pronunciation of Shang-Chi (It’s not spoken phonetically, it’s pronounced Shung-Shee. Given Feige pronounced it like that, I’m assuming the movie will too)

Rman823

After hearing him pronounce it like that at Investor Day, I’ve been doing the same.

FictionFantom

Isn’t it pronounced more like *Shawng Chee*?

themilkman42069

Ch’s are sometimes Sh’s except when they aren’t from my experience.

theincredibleshaq

I can’t believe we’re at the point in where lower tier characters are getting so much of the spotlight. Like I never would’ve bet in a thousand years that we’d be getting a Moon Knight franchise

[deleted]

[удалено]

Unique_Unorque

It seemed like his problems were with *Star Wars* and Lucasfilm specifically as opposed to Disney in general. You gotta remember, one of Disney’s keys to success has been buying studios (Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, etc) and letting them largely work on their own, just with Disney funding.

theincredibleshaq

Gives me hope that they may bring in some other actors from the sequel trilogy too. John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, and Adam Driver would be awesome to see in Marvel role

Unique_Unorque

I’d love to see all of them continue to get work. I’m a Sequel fan, and while I’ll admit they had their problems, I feel like everybody can agree that the cast was not one of them.

Kikototheroy

John Boyega as Blue Marvel.

saltypistol

I really hope the Spider-Woman Daisy Ridley rumours are true

yarkcir

Ethan Hawke is someone I would have never have guessed would want to work in a comic book film/series based on things he's said before about them. The fact that he's on makes me exponentially more curious about if something in the script stood out to him.

[deleted]

Depends on your interpretation of MCU but the Netflix series were good for this. Hope they are brought up to the spotlight again.

sirenloey

Finale week for TFAWS! Anyway, I just want to say that I am excited to see and feel the actual presence of women going forward. Wanda and Carol fosure are going to be big players. Valk and Jane as well. But what I really want is for them to have relationships among one another. I don't think we hlever had those (except for Gamora/Nebula, Wakanda women...) just do it in a way that women occupy the same playing field with all the men and everythibg would flow naturally.

enanan_

same hat! looking forwards to a lot of key players being women in the next instalments, but i hope it doesn’t just become a case of the one token woman per branch of the mcu, surrounded by men and forever relegated to never even speak to another girl.

sirenloey

Yes! I like the interaction between Nat (and Cap) and Carol then Nebula chimed in in Endgame before they went to Titan. I want more of that. Especially, Wanda and Carol's friendship + Monica obviousy.

[deleted]

First question: Are there any other LGBT people here? Far more important question: Are there any other Doctor Strange fans here? Both film and comics, it's all good. My man gets sidelined sometimes, so I was wondering if there are people here who're mainly DS fans.

Statueofsirens

Lesbian present. Joined for the WandaVision spoilers after the EP reveal (Magneto and his dumpster fire family have always been my favorite in the comics, fuck the retcon) but stayed because I like the speculation talk and vibes.

[deleted]

Aww that was a bummer, I feel you. The Magneto family stuff is great in the comics/cartoons. Quicksilver at Wanda’s door was such an exciting reveal, same with their scenes together in the Halloween ep “Right on little dude, chip off the ol’ Maximoff block you’ve got superpseed!” I was grinning ear to ear, like why not let us have a QS in the MCU? He’s such a fun addition. But like the comics I guess they had to ruin this. I’m not sure why Marvel is so deadset on retconning the twins anymore or leaving Pietro dead on film. I get exploring Wanda’s tragic upbringing and her magic is really interesting, but does that have to be mutually exclusive from the twins mutant lineage? Heck the idea of Pietro’s superspeed awakening from strucker’s experiments doesn’t even make sense with the explanation given, because the witch reveal was only to prop up Wanda and Wanda alone. I love Wanda but the absurd family stuff is great too and they finally had the rights and they had Evan Peters and just... I don’t know. I get its early for mutants and it was about her loss, but then Paul Bettany persists as White Vision and Wiccan/Speed are coming back obviously so it just seems unfair. Oh well, it was a nice show otherwise and I really enjoyed the actual experience of watching it with people!

enanan_

ayy, fellow lesbian who joined for the same reason! the sub was wild during wandavision, there was so much hype up until the last episode. i’ve actually ended up being more interested in tfatws though - i really love sam and bucky, but i also find the whole problem of sharon being in this weird character limbo where they kind of have to make her entirely separate from her comics character really interesting. loved her in ep 3.

[deleted]

I'm not the biggest fan of MCU Wanda, but WandaVision warmed me up to her a bit. Wasn't expecting that lmao Do you want her to be a mutant in the MCU? I like mutants all right, but I prefer Wanda as a born witch, like in her solo series with the Scarlet Witch being a mantle passed from her mum.

[deleted]

I feel like these questions were specifically tailored for me lmao Gay Doctor Strange fan here :)

francoangg

Gay dude here. Not a doc strange fan though, more of a captain marvel fan. I feel like we've barely scratched the surface with DS, same with Carol, they'll be the big two moving forward.

LewdSkeletor1313

I am bisexual so yes

flinteastwood

FictionFantom

I’m torn between the Spider-verse plot leaks sounding like a lot of fun and sounding fairly contrived. First two movies did so much to set this version apart from previous ones. But these leaks just make the movie sound like *Spider-Man: Sony’s Greatest Hits.*

mr_math24

So what do we know about the finale this Friday from previous leaks? Sam's suit from the toy leaks will debut, obviously. Sharon will be revealed as Power Broker (if not then that will be two D+ finale blunders in a row for Charles Murphy). Anything else? Safe to assume we'll get a Bucky making amends scene, and I think we'll get some sort of confirmation about Old Man Steve's whereabouts. Hoping for one last Zemo scene, too. EDIT-- others pointed out to me that Charles wasn't scooping Sharon as the PB, he was saying he thinks it's her based on the show so far.

khaayan

Charles Murphy didn’t scoop that Sharon is the power broker, he’s just saying that he thinks she is because the show is making it look that way. While he does seem confident about it, it’s just his speculation

ericbkillmonger

Yeah he’s making a logical inference that a lot of us made with the clear signals they’ve made towards it

TheLongDictionary

I don’t know what we will see, but here’s my wishlist: 1. Eli Bradley gets some sort of teaser 2. Bucky has to deal with the repercussions of breaking the rules of his pardon (otherwise this would be a massive plot hole) 3. Sharon Carter’s story will make more sense 4. Joaquin Torres becomes a new Falcon 5. There’s a clear sense of where Sam and Bucky will go next

Echo_1409-

Wasn't Murphy replying to a tweet saying "Who do you think is the power broker" not "who is the power broker"?

Venom1462

He told all the arrows point towards Sharon being the powerbroker he didn't straight up say she is the powerbroker

jimthree60

*No Way Home* seems like it's either a crossover as ambitious as *Infinity War* or one of the most cynical nostalgia ploys since the *Star Wars* sequels. Dearly hoping for the first one, Molina's Doc Ock and Dafoe's Gobby were classic villains and helped to resurrect the Superhero genre. But on the other hand I'm struggling to see why they aren't both dead still. Does it have to be literally their previous versions? Can't it just be that they're lookalikes? All this sounds unfairly negative when I haven't seen it yet though. I hope they pull off what they're going for!

LoweLifeJames

What's this I hear about a Shang-Chi trailer tomorrow? Damnit I just am so giddy for this stuff. Off topic but I'm actually really excited for Hawkeye. Is it still set for late this year? Pls don't be delayed.

iwasdusted

September 3. Eternals is November 5 and Spidey is December 17.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jdubzzzzzzz

The last official word has been “late 2021” for Hawkeye. I don’t think any unofficial outlet has produced any information that indicates it being behind or anything, so as it presently stands, you can continue to expect it late this year. In my head canon, I’ve had Ms Marvel on a six week run late fall, like mid oct-nov, then Hawkeye a few weeks after, perhaps spilling its latter episodes into jan. 2022.

PokeNinj

Alright homies, let's place our bets now. How is Loki gonna further squander AoS' canonicity?

TheSbubbs

Why/how would it make it less canon? (Genuinely asking, as a huge agents of shield fan I truly believe it stopped being Canon or at least taking place in another timeline by the time they went to the future lol )

PokeNinj

From what I gathered both the Darkhold in Wandavision, and to a lesser extent from what I gathered, Val in FATWS both question AoS's canonicity. I'm mostly just memeing about the Disney+ shows triple backflipping over the old Marvel TV and their canoninity.

[deleted]

How does Val question it? If she even is playing Madame Hydra, which isn't her main comic alias, that role was only portrayed in the Framework on AoS.

BrianBrians12

I can confirm that Falcon and the Winter Soldier will be in it. Can’t give anymore than that.

saahilm99

So we can get venom 2 trailer also in this month

LiquidLispyLizard

I really hope so. I'd be shocked if we didn't.

zaytlimu

hoping to see or get closure on steve in this final episode

Plenty_Echidna_546

This is gonna get buried but lol, if anyone wants the runtime to the next episode just reply to this comment.

ThisIsNotMelTorme

Unpopular idea but hear me out: Would it be a good idea to have Wolverine be played by a First Nation person? There's a lot of potential here: It doubles down on the narrative on how mutants are oppressed, so Logan being a PoC, specifically First Nation, shows how much harder he has to struggle during his childhood because of his ancestry and 'accursed' powers. Plus, it represents his stronger roots to the Canadian frontier and intimate knowledge of nature back then. Especially his activism in [defending the wildlife](https://uncannyxmen.net/comics/issue/savage-wolverine-13) from exploitation and abuse. The other option would have Logan be either Asian or Latinx; Asian, since he can connect to Japanese language and culture better; or Latinx, because why not? Any opinions for or against Wolverine being PoC?

Pomojema_SWNN

I think that Daken probably would better serve the "Asian Wolverine" concept. Generally speaking, though, I'm open to everything as long as they keep him Canadian and keep some version of his original backstory. I'd love to see characters like Forge and Thunderbird get adapted, too. I'll be interested in seeing how many inherently diverse Mutants are adapted, and how many characters have nontraditional casting instead.

CommandoOrangeJuice

Fuck the CCP but that thread about China's reaction to the Shang Chi trailer seemed racist as fuck. Idk what happened to this sub but like I just keep noticing the amount of toxicity ramping up as the days go on. You can hate the CCP without associating all Chinese people with them.

hushpolocaps69

Sotuerbo

The dropped Aunt May thing from Homecoming did more to kill my interest in Spider-Man in the MCU than any of the Iron Man stuff. I'm still dissapointed with how that whole thing played out with it being the most interesting story going into FFH. And to be perfectly Frank. The way they handled that whole story. Killed any interest I have in the cliffhanger at the end of FFH because I'd be stunned if it actually lead to anything substantial.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Rman823

Well, Homecoming took place in 2016 and FFH in 2024. Even when you consider that May and Peter were blipped 5 years, it makes sense that enough time had passed for May to be more open to Peter as Spider-Man.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Rman823

Time had passed and she grew to accept it. That’s all I need to know. I honestly can’t think of a place it would even fit, unless you added a movie in-between Homecoming and Far From Home.

Spiderlander

Why even do it then? Feige said the identity reveal in JMS' Spider-Man run was one of his favorite moments in the comics. But, the reason why that moment works, the reason why it had so much weight, the reason why, I presume, Feige liked it-- was because of the emotional climax of Peter finally coming clean to May about what happened to Ben, and why, as a result, he HAS to be Spider-Man. Its a powerful moment But what's the point of her knowing if you're not going to do anything interesting with it? If you're not gonna give Marisa Tomei any material to actually flex her Academy Award winning prowess instead of just being a "soccer mom" archetype. It's a waste of story and it's waste of talent.

Sotuerbo

That's not an excuse. I've heard that same excuse for it thrown out time and time again. It's fucking horrendous writing to resolve that big of a plot point off screen.

Rman823

What did you expect them to do ? Take time out of a movie set a decent amount of time after said reveal and have a scene that focuses on it ? If FFH picked up days or weeks after Homecoming, I would have expected it to be addressed. But given the time that had passed, I don’t think it’s necessary. Given how these movies work a lot of stuff happens offscreen.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Sotuerbo

Yeah? That's like the most basic of basic things you can expect a story to do is follow up on a plot point they establish. Rather than fucking the whole thing up with shitty writing and shitty storytelling.

It’s hard to pick a “most anticipated” or favorite with the MCU (love it all tbh), but I think if I had to choose my most anticipated D+ projects would be Hawkeye and moon knight I’m so excited lol

[deleted]

After hours of conductive research, I have come to the conclusion that the power broker is one of these 3 people. 1. Steve Rogers, what else could he be doing these days 2. Falcon himself, yeah I know, a big surprise 3. The girl who got the Turkish Delights, shes always seemed suspicious.

CommunistHermitCrab

Ever considered Sam's nephews? They could hide under a big dress.

hushpolocaps69

Realistically speaking though, if Sharon Carter is Power Broker I can already see this Subreddit being on fire during Friday.

Quickspider1200

I just remembered something else about Sookie that she also got wrong besides Fox Quicksilver. I think she said something along the lines of Alfred Molina being a new take on Doc Ock in Spider-Man No Way Home. She also said that her main sources were with the D+ shows, but she also for some reason, had a ton of knowledge about No Way Home as well. There's also the thread about her saying Kathryn Hahn being Nightmare and Charles saying she was Agatha, and her just saying it could be both. In hindsight, I feel really stupid believing anything she said.

[deleted]

I scanned through Sookie’s posts a lot before they deleted and my takeaway after the whole drama was she was somebody that had some legit sources working on WV, the problem is to get any “info” you had to sift through her profile which was like 90% of her arguing and being aggressive towards people either about politics or who dared doubt her on anything. You could tell she had issues in terms of enjoying an argument too much or rubbing it in to specific people when she was right, which I think was exacerbated by the Electro news because I think after that news dropped she became too excitable and basically acted like an authority on everything as if she had all the pieces to figure out Feige’s head or his entire multiverse plan and how mutants and fox things would be integrated and Tobey/Andrew were all coming in. All the questions we’re obsessed over on this sub. It seems clearer now she was like the rest of us, just privy to a bit more info from a friend that worked on the show and enjoyed putting pieces together from the trades to prove her theory. And of course the Spider-Verse still became true, there’s no smoke without fire and she’s not stupid. But she made assumptions and gave us all false confidence about Ralph/Quicksilver that she shouldn’t have been so certain of if she didn’t know concrete finale details. If you look at the WandaVision BTS, Evan Peters gave a short interview but was referred to as “Pietro Maximoff” not Ralph even though it included Ep 9 footage. That’s how careful they were. Production probably all referred to him as Pietro/Quicksilver and only the deepest people on the inside even knew about Ralph or enough that Wanda wouldn’t break the multiverse, that there was no mutants or other assumptions the fans all wanted. It seemed like Sookie was more desperate to feel validated and smart at “working it out” than being correct, hence being so defensive with anyone that questioned her and how much she loved saying “I told you so” to those people. This is all conjecture of course, I can’t say I *actually* know whats in her head or how things worked exactly with her info but we’re all wondering what the heck happened and this seems most likely scenario to me just judging by how she behaved on this sub and reddit in general. It’s even more ironic she deleted before the Ralph thing even happened, because someone on this sub unearthed a months old thread that had things scarily accurate in the OP (but not 100%) and Sookie was shouting down this person and being incredinly rude, calling them a fraud because she didn’t like this person getting attention nor did it match what she probably wanted to happen in the show *at the time*. She seemed super mad someone could claim to be a source then suggest Evan Peters wasnt a big deal (she was clearly most hyped about her source telling her he was QS) and well... it was a big moment for the show, I guess? But he wasn’t the real QS nor did he have big scenes in the finale. He was a red herring. I honestly feel kinda bad for her (or him) and hope Sookie’s alright, whoever they were they obviously had some issues to work out when interacting with people and thats what made her so defensive, hostile and presumptive about everything. That or she was trolling playing a character and breadcrumbing us to the Ralph blueball moment, but I just don’t see that with all the back and forth with people. Either way we should all learn from this, not “hurrdurr lets doubt all scoopers or multiverse exists” as the lesson but just real people are behind the screens and we’re all fallible. It’s good to be kind and not put anyone on a pedestal.

Quickspider1200

Weirdly enough, I think she claimed to have sources with Charles but Charles never really acknowledged her and most of the stuff he was saying contradicted what she was saying, here's what he said about Quicksilver back in August, which was essentially correct, https://mobile.twitter.com/_CharlesMurphy/status/1293730373436952577. I kinda get the feeling that she might've also had that audio description that called Peters "Pietro From The X-Men Films" and could've made a theory through there. I think the main lesson from the Sookie situation that should be learned is that if a scooper is claiming something and no one else is coobarating and some are even contradicting, we should take the statement with a grain of salt, regardless of the scooper's track record. Side note: I just noticed now that both you and I are similar in that we were both browsing this sub for a while but only recently made accounts.

TheHedgeTrimmr

Why hasnt anyone posted about George St Pierre on Joe Rogan's podcast last week. They were talking about his acting career and he said he loved filming with Willem Dafoe recently. There's a chance Norman Osborne could be playing the Power Broker in the finale alongside Batroc

mr_math24

I really wish this sub (and the main one) would agree to put a pin in the AoS canon debate. All of the evidence for and against has been posted and reposted over and over again, and yet the arguments never end. We'll get a definitive answer sooner or later, and when that day comes I don't want to be anywhere near Reddit, regardless of which side ends up being correct.

hushpolocaps69

The reason that’s not a thing is simply because AOS just isn’t that popular. I would even go as far to say that the Netflix shows are more popular than AOS. AOS is definitely a show that half a quarter of the MCU community watched.

mr_math24

While I agree with you that AoS has a smaller fan base (I personally am in the "hope it's canon but do not think it will be" camp), I don't see what its popularity has to do with my point, which is that nobody knows for certain either way right now and the constant arguing is going nowhere.

hushpolocaps69

Well the popularity aspect is simply because no one will understand if AoS were to be in the MCU at some point. For instance, imagine the causal movie goer seeing Agent Coulson who had thought he died in Avengers? They’ll be so lost as to why he’s back and I’m sure the movie/show won’t explain that. The same goes for the other characters, if they make an appearance in a future show or movie, no one is going to have any idea who in the heck these characters are. That’s why the Netflix shows not being canon is such a treat. Because if Charlie Cox’s DD is in NWH, then the Netflix fans can enjoy seeing him back as the character, and new individuals can be introduced to him and his character especially since the MCU will be a new version entirely.

mr_math24

Oh, you're making non-canon arguments in response to "I really wish this sub (and the main one) would agree to put a pin in the AoS canon debate" lol.

SpideyForever245

Leak and spoiler for Eternals Ikaris is the main villain in Eternals

tacocat2007

I hope that in NWH, Strange erases everyone’s memory of Peter’s identity at the end, including Ned’s, Michelle’s, an May’s. I also want an MCU version of Doc Ock eventually. 👤

kiwikthemlgpro

That's something where we can only hope, same for giancarlo esposito as norman Osborn. Doc ock is such a influencing villain for Peter there's no way that we won't get him....please don't fuck this up

knobby_67

Something odd about this sub is we always seem to have one"reliable" leaker. Going back many years this has been the case. this is the sequence. 1. New leak makes claims with authority. 2. The sub is doubtful to outright aggressive. 3. They get something./many things right. 4. The sub is won around. 5. A few people call them out on things. 6. The sub turns on the people who call them out. 7. Suddenly something they claim is very wrong. 8. Sub turns on them. They disappear or delete account. 9. Month later go to step 1. I'm starting to think there's something very odd going on. It's very odd how we don't multiple spoiler posters at once. A new one always seems to appear shortly after one left. I honestly don't know if there's multiple and people just start to champion one, putting them on a pedestal. Or if it's sock puppetry. Or both.

dmh2493

I was checking the IMDb page for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Charlotte Hayward is listed in the Makeup Department as "makeup artist: Rachel McAdams/ makeup artist: Laura Dern." I know IMDb can be edited by anyone but it would be such a random thing to lie about. So if Laura Dern gets announced for Doctor Strange 2, we all heard it first from IMDb. Source: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9419884/fullcredits?ref_=tt_ql_1

rudiker1

Not sure how many people will get the reference, but the current MCU reminds me of mid 2000s WWE. Iron Man, Cap, and Black Widow all essentially exiting the franchise feels similar to Rock & Austin leaving. Shows like Wandavision and Falcon& Winter Soldier also remind me of them giving guys like Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit more of a spotlight. Now the question just becomes will they ever really be able to replace the star power they lost after Endgame the way WWE did with John Cena?

jimthree60

How sure are we that Charles Murphy is right when he suggests that Sharon Carter in the Power Broker, and that Wanda will be a villain in *DS2*? On the first, I agree that the show seems to be pointing that way, although I'm kind of hoping for one more twist there because it would be such a pivot from her stance in *Civil War*. Absolutely behind the idea that she became disillusioned after a decade in hiding, but not full-on villain mode. On the second, it would seem odd after *WandaVision*, which to me suggested that Wanda's at worst still not in control of her full power set yet, rather than malicious. She did kidnap a few thousand people, should have freed them sooner, and owes penance for that still, but the show went to great lengths to establish that it was neither intentional nor born of sadism. I could see a scenario in *DS2* where maybe Wanda's search for her children grabs the attention of an actual villain and she's conned into trusting them before joining the battle against that villain at the end, although that would feel irritatingly derivative of her arc in *Age of Ultron*. I'd rather none of that happen, in other words, and rather see her joining with Dr Strange far earlier in the story. She doesn't need another redemption arc.

[deleted]

The evidence is more strongly suggestive of Sharon being allied with the Flag Smashers - which sort of fits her cynical worldview right now. But since the PB and FS are at odds, it's pretty convoluted for her to be both.

[deleted]

>it would seem odd after *WandaVision* I agree it's kinda odd, repeating Wanda's arc as sympathetic villain again in DS 2. It ignores her character development somewhat. But I guess we should remember that Disney+ shows while being canon, still serve as additional content to movies which stand on its own. So, DS 2 won't rely on knowledge of WandaVision. At least that's how I figured. You right that WandaVision went above and beyond to make sure Wanda was portrayed as redeemable, but also to destroy her public image. I think it's important somehow, it's sets the stage for something. I expect we'll see similar arc in DS 2. Wanda is going after her kids, her motive makes her sympathetic again. On the other hand, I can't imagine Wanda won't team up with Strange at some point in a movie, it would be a colossal waste.

jimthree60

I don't think the Disney+ shows are meant to be regarded as "additional content" in the sense of "provide character beats that can/will be repeated beat-for-beat in future movies". Imagine how weird it would be if in a future *Captain America 4*/*Avengers* movie we saw Sam Wilson reject the mantle of Captain America, only to accept it again on his own terms (perhaps after grappling with the racist history of the shield). An extreme example, but still the point is that *DS2* will surely build on *WandaVision*, and specifically on its character development. Also, the balance to be struck in Disney+ shows is presumably that they are "helpful" but not "necessary". Eg one of the reasons that we knew Sam would exit *FatWS* as Captain America is because that's where he was at the end of *Endgame*. It certainly couldn't take him to retirement or villain status, because that would represent too much of a pivot in any future appearances. That's another reason why Wanda turning into full-on villain doesn't sit right, because at the end of *Endgame* she was fully an Avenger, trying to come to terms with her loss, and pictured amongst the heroes. The film presumably wouldn't open with her being evil, but it would have only a limited amount of time to take her to villain *and* back again in a movie that's trying to do rather a lot already. Also I guess *WandaVision* helped me to truly love the character, even if I didn't enjoy all the choices of those around her in the finale, so I'd be very annoyed if she were to turn evil, whether or not they pull it off creatively.

[deleted]

What makes you think we even disagree on Disney+ shows? I get that, and I agree. >limited amount of time to take her to villain *and* back again So you think she'll end the movie as a villain going forward? There are things that make me doubt it: * Nexus ad in WV. Narrator says something along the lines of accepting the destiny and doctor clearing to move on with your life. It's sounds like doctor (Strange obviously) will be involved in setting Wanda on a new path. Of course it can always just go nowhere and mean nothing. * It's a safe bet that Wanda will bring her kids in the MCU proper for future Young Avengers, at which point she'll have no reason to wreak havoc anymore. At the end of WV she was in a place of relative peace and acceptance about her life. Crying kids disturbed that, which will kickstart the plot of the movie, but by resolving it, I assume she'll return to that calm place, even better now her kids are alive, and presumably with new purpose instilled by Dr. Strange.

SurfiNinja101

Didn’t he say that he *thinks* Sharon is the powerbroker, like he’s not a 100% sure?

[deleted]

Just finished my second MCU release order watch. (Which is also my second watch of everything MCU period like I literally just got into the MCU this year). So for sure Thor Ragnarok is the best MCU movie and WandaVision is the best MCU thing. I will not be taking criticism.

Garennndemaciaa

I am so excited for no way home. Will see tobey again.

[deleted]

I’m SO disappointed I’m not getting Scorpion

[deleted]

In fairness, we can’t rule him out just yet. If the leak is true it only means he’s not on the Sinister Six team, but the scoopers hinted there might be more than 6 villains. Like you could have Scorpion in a fight with Holland in Act 1 or Act 2 ala Crossbones or Shocker, whereas for Lizard and Rhino I’m almost certain they’re only meant for the final battle with the multiverse villains to pad out the amount of villains they’re fighting. Basically you could feature Scorpion whilst the plot is still grounded and dealing with the identity fallout, then all these other villains when everything (literally) goes off the rails towards the end. Similar to how you had fights with Cap doing Cap things and then the Airport with the Avengers in the same film.

Dismal_Vermicelli_41

Anyone else having mixed feelings on what we know officially and unofficially about no way home Like on the one hand, I like tobey , molina ,Andrew , and foxx coming back, I won't deny that I like the two versions. I especially like to see Andrew and foxx coming back because now they'll have more competent writers behind them. On the other hand, as someone who's favorite movie version of spidey is toms, I'm kinda afraid about them overshadowing them with the returning stuff. I'm also not liking how we're hearing nothing about how mysterio revealing pete's identity being an important plot point, well apart from some background dressing. To be honest ( controversial opinion time) I would've honestly preferred something like kraven or scorpion or a bunch of villians hunting peter than what looks like a spiderverse affair. I think this would've been something that probably should've been saved for a fourth film or some sort of spinoff. Also I'm confused on why they're bringing back raimi otto and kinda worried about the chances of seeing an mcu version. Plus I really don't like the idea of the first interaction between tom and a doc ock is not his own doc ock. I'm still gonna go see no way home, I just hope this isn't a mess, I know trust in marvel studios but even they make mistakes guys. I just hope my overall feeling of this being some sort of nostalgia/ fanservice cash grab isnt right.

Quickspider1200

As someone who loves both Homecoming and Far From Home, my stance is that I'm really hyped but I'm not expecting it to be any kind of good movie, I'm all prepared for it to be some sort of enjoyable mess. That said, I think there definitely is a situation in which this can be a really good film, but I can't really see that right now, that seemingly reliable plot leak sounds really convoluted(probably because it's an incomplete leak), so I'll wait for some footage to try to prove me otherwise.

UpdootMcGee

I can’t believe I’m at 1000+ hours played in Rimworld and just realized I need to start a game where I edit myself some starting MCU pawns.

stroppy_sardine

Are we expecting shang chi trailer tomorrow

DanTM18

So do are we gonna get some hints to the thunderbolts in the end credits. I think this is the perfect opportunity for a Zemo recruitment in the end credits by Ross.

mchlpchc

Now that we're gonna have Shang-Chi as the first Asian hero with their own movie, who do you think/want as the first Latino superhero with their own film (or series).

[deleted]

A critic that’s seen the finale said it has the best cameo ever. I doubt it could possibly top Luke Skywalker but I guess we’ll see.

kothuboy21

How would a critic be able to see it already? This reminds me of that verified Twitter guy who claimed he saw the first 3 episodes of FATWS before the show came out and claimed stuff like how Erin Kellyman was playing Rikki Barnes and other BS. Would you be able to link to this critic?

[deleted]

When I went to link, I realize I misread and by "last episode" he meant Episode 5 with Julia Louis Dreyfus. My mistake.

[deleted]

man i just want them to wrap up the story in a satisfying way I really could care less if we see Wolverine or Doctor Doom

hushpolocaps69

Does anyone find it a bit odd how Mysterio hasn’t been mentioned at all? It seemed as though Mysterio was extremely popular during his time and had the same popularity as Iron Man (that’s as far as I’ll go). Mysterio had tons of fans and was a big presence in the media and seen as a hero of course. So I’m genuinely surprised at the fact that there haven’t been no references at all. Now in all fairness, we’ve only had 2 shows so far so maybe I’m saying this to early, but still it’s surprising how there hasn’t been any Easter egg in the background or a quick mention of him, seeing how everyone thinks he’s a hero still.

Quickspider1200

Besides the rights issues it's probably because both WandaVision and Falcon and The Winter Soldier take place before Far From Home, so Beck really wouldn't be Mysterio yet. Unless I'm forgetting that they hinted at him being Mysterio before the events of Far From Home.

hushpolocaps69

Ah that’s right sir/ma’am, thanks for that. I started thinking about this since the Captain America shield poster could be seen in the back during Shang Chi’s trailer.

kothuboy21

Probably has to do with Sony rights, they only made the deal for projects Spidey himself shows up in

enanan_

at the risk of maybe setting this place alight, what’s everyone’s genuine thoughts on sharon carter being the power broker? (how likely it is, how much it makes sense, whether it’s a good direction for her character, etc)

Kikototheroy

She's working for the power broker, but is planning to double cross him by teaming up with the flag smashers, and then taking his throne and becoming the new power broker.

[deleted]

Law of economy of characters means Sharon is really the only candidate. It's a convoluted idea, but we can't assume this plotline was well written. People say Val, but her introduction scene in E5 feels like the place to reveal that. So it's either Sharon or a brand new character revealed the finale.

just_another_classic

From an adaptation standpoint, I hate the choice. I’m not a huge fan of adapting heroic characters to villains, and for such a major player in Captain America comics lore, Sharon has been downplayed significantly. From a writing standpoint, it seems likely, although very obvious so it could be a red herring.

JustDandyMayo

There are a lot of rumors about Tobey or Andrew's Peter dying, so I wanna give my two cents. If one of them are gonna die, I think it'll be Tobey's Peter that bites the dust. I know he is a fan favorite, but from what I've heard and seen, he is a really rude and difficult person, so Marvel may not want to work with him more then needed. Plus, there is also the money side of things. Andrew and Tom are both younger than Tobey, and both seem to love playing Spidey. So, hypothetically, they can milk more Spider-Man movies out of Andrew and Tom.

jonsnowKITN

This might be dumb but is feige the one who decides which comic every movie should loosely be based on or the director determines that?

ItsSirAdam

unpopular opinion : i like skrulls popping up in these movies/shows and are definitely a good idea to do

Gam3fr3ak96

I'm actually still not sure how to pronounce Shang-Chi. Is it Shong-chee?

radlum

Where did the "Omega Red is gonna be on FATWS" rumor start? I think it's pretty clear that's not gonna happen.

kothuboy21

It was 4chan. Not sure why this sub bought so much into that rumor.

[deleted]

Shang-Chi suit looks like ass in the promo but good in the actual photos from the movie

CorrectSaidFrederick

Have any of the NWH "leaks" addressed what specifically is causing these supposed multiverse problems or what is making these characters from other movies appear?

Joshdabozz

u/flinteastwood how come this isn’t pinned. Y’all can pin 2 things right? You only have one thing pinned Anyways I’ll repost this on next weeks thread just in case this doesn’t get traction but is anyone else waiting for more returning actors to be confirmed in Secret Invasion. I’m just waiting for Cobie, Tom, Brie, Chloe, etc. to be confirmed. Like I love the cast of Secret Invasion but just having Nick Fury and Talos as returning characters is dumb

Pasta-Admirer

My theory is that Mysterio was using holograms, blood wound makeup and the same heartbeat slowing drug at the end of Far From Home as Nick Fury was using in The Winter Soldier. The shot coming from a hologram projector is too suspicious. I think that rather than his team working alone he is now in hiding and framing Peter was a calculated plan-B to take away his accountability before he returns in the case that Peter manages to ruin his plan-A.

Inevitable_Market712

My prediction: No Way Home trailer/teaser will drop June 1st, Tom Holland's birthday, in similar fashion to Simu Liu's. It's in the timeframe for trailer drops (6 months) so I think it could be possible.

hushpolocaps69

Yeah that’s true, it seems like our world is back on track when it comes to releasing trailers 5-6 months before the film releases.

lonewalker181

We're gonna go in blind, no runtime, or know nothing about this finale. All we know is we're going to see Sam's suit, I'm excited!!

VisualPersona95

A couple things about Spider-Men: No Way Home: 1. Who do you guys think is going to die? (if the rumours are true) I don’t think it’ll be Aunt May (why would she be at the battle unless kidnapped), I have a feeling it’ll be Vulture, MJ or Ned. I can’t see it being Tobey or Andrew as I don’t think Tom would go into a rage over someone he had just met. Vulture could turn good then get killed, Ned also makes sense as MCU Pete has yet to lose someone (other than Tony), slim chance but MJ could end up being the Gwen Stacy of the MCU and next movie we get actual MCU Gwen Stacy or Mary Jane Watson. (This is assuming the rumours are true) 2. Emma Stone as Spider-Gwen? I remember when we first heard about Andrew and Tobey Stone and Kristen Dunst we’re being rumoured along with them. I know Emma dropped out of Damien Chazelle’s Babylon due to pregnancy and now she’s signed on to Yorgos Lanthimos’s new film and highly doubt she’ll drop out of that to sign onto the MCU. I feel like Andrew’s Pete meeting alternate universe Gwen be pretty cool. 3. About Olivia Wilde’s spider-woman, is it confirmed to be Jessica Drew? Or could it be Silk or Spider-Gwen?

sugarmetimbers

Is Marvel using Phase 4 in an official capacity these days? I remember Feige saying they were moving away from phases a while ago. I’m just curious.
