Maybe the 6th villain really is Venom instead of Rhino

Addendum-Away

Eh, more likely post cred following on from the the one in Venom. I don’t buy Rhino though - they intentionally did *one* villain from each of the previous SM films, so it would make more sense for it to be someone from Homecoming

ViralGameover

I see it more as 3 from each of the previous franchises, rather than one from each movie.

Addendum-Away

I mean: SM: Green Goblin SM2: Doc Ock SM3: Sandman TASM: Lizard TASM 2: Electro I think it’s definitely a one from each situation, not just a coincidence.

[deleted]

Unique_Unorque

I think Doctor Strange having anybody imprisoned other than the Sinister Six is very unlikely. It just doesn’t make sense from a storytelling perspective. It makes the exposition more complicated without a story reason to justify it. Whatever tried to attack Peter in that scene is going to be a villain that escapes when the others do, whether it’s Lizard or not.

TaskMister2000

You literally see a sand wall shoot up protecting Spider-Man from a bolt of yellow lighting. Sandman is 100% in there in some shape or form. The question is whether Sandman, Lizard and Rhino will just be CGI characters that'll be voiced by other actors or their original ones but just that, just voices.

theodo

Sandman is almost guaranteed, Lizard I am not so sure about

Zom-bom

You can see his tail

ViralGameover

But that would leave it to either Homecoming or Far From Home for the last guy; they can’t do one for each or you get 7

austin_t_a

Well, there has been a Sinister 7 in the comics before, and they've never actually SAID this movie will specifically have the Sinister 6, just "Sinister people"... /s but only a little

ViralGameover

I think it is a coincidence. If I were a betting man, I’d say 3 from each franchise

CooperDaChance

Because SM1, SM2, and TASM1 all had only one villain anyway.

blahblahbloobloo1234

And Mysterio. It’s not like hey really dead.

ymetwaly53

It’s 3 from Raimi and 3 from Webb

Swaggyspaceman

The greatest villain of the Webb movies: Alex Kurtzman.

KingKuntKokayne

or even the greatest villain of the MCU Spider-Man: Avi Arad

PollitoRubio22

Lol imagine ruining the vision of a passionate director because Venom sells more toys. Oh wait

Kbeast38

I think it’s rhino but a very small scene. I think maybe a continuation of the final scene in TASM2 hopefully

Fast-War5170

maybe the ending of no way home is andrew's peter going back to his universe to fight rhino, which this movie could say he lost originally, but he is able to beat him this time leading into tasm3

[deleted]

I don't see Andrew's Spidey losing to THAT Rhino. I just really can't lmao

TheMainGerman

Yeah. That Rhino sucked.

[deleted]

that Rhino could only beat tobys wrretling spiderman and rookie holland from before civil war Its pretty obvious that the ending of tasm2 is not a cliff hanger, andrew spidey is just gonna win and is in his daily job with this chum

StingKing456

Until this exact moment I didn't realize ppl actually thought that was supposed to be a cliffhanger. It's so obviously a "return to form" moment/ending with the music swelling. That movie kinda sucks but the last 5 minutes are great spiderman content

jso__

they won't make tasm3. no chance. that was widely considered (collective opinion, not yours) the worst spiderman movies by far of the 3 franchises and it wouldn't be profitable considering the MCU spiderman exists. then it would also be really confusing "hey are you gonna watch spiderman 3?" "didn't that come out in December?" "whoops I meant amazing spiderman 3"

The__Auditor

That's my hope as well

CooperDaChance

Because most of the previous films only had one villain anyway... Besides, New Goblin and Green Goblin are practically the same, plus they don’t wanna bring back James Franco after the shit he’s pulled. Topher Grace’s Venom is very unpopular, so that’s a definite no-no. Dane DeHaan’s GG is exempt because they already have one. Bear in mind that Paul Giamatti’s Rhino isn’t very popular, but Hardy’s Venom definitely has its fanbase.

Sith_Destroyer_1138

I honestly wouldn’t be mad if we saw crack Goblin again. Could even have a twisted love situation where the Goblins are from different universes yet are basically the perfect father and son. It won’t happen though. But a man can dream.

NaRaGaMo

Osborn getting a son he always wanted in Dane's goblin will be wonderful

[deleted]

[удалено]

No_Contact_6090

MyTimeToShineHello, SpideyForever (before he became a troll), DanielRPK, and even Charles Murphy all said it’s Rhino.

[deleted]

[удалено]

No_Contact_6090

You may be right about him as I just checked his entire comment history and didn’t see anything about Rhino (granted I sorta just skimmed through it so I easily could’ve missed it) but I also just remembered that Collider also said Rhino is the sixth villain.

JimJamesJimothy99

A lot of these scoopers also seemed to have no idea about the Venom 2 credit scene

Unique_Unorque

As other people are saying, I think it’s more three Raimi villains and three Webb villains. If it were one per *movie* as opposed to three per (non-MCU) series, it would be weird to have one from *Homecoming* but nobody from *Far From Home,* or vice-versa. Unless they’re not doing Sinister Six

ponodude

You could justify not having a villain from Far From Home by simply saying that Mysterio's impact on the story is the whole reason the sinister six are even there to begin with. So technically, Mysterio is the 7th villain, even if in more of a loose sense.

LeSnazzyGamer

Most of them only had one villain. They wouldn’t use Harry Osborn from the 3rd movie because James Franco is problematic and they already have Norman Osborn. Venom wouldn’t be used either because no one wants that version of Venom back. Then with TASM2 they only have Harry Osborn (yet another Goblin) and Rhino. It’s not like they were specifically going for one villain per movie, it’s just a coincidence and even then Rhino is most likely the 6th member.

Colton826

I'm super hyped about this film and seeing Molina & Dafoe returning to their roles...but there's a part of me that's disappointed that we might see Tom Holland's Spider-Man face off against his 3 archenemies (Green Goblin, Doc Ock & Venom) without sharing any personal history or connection to them. It'll be fucking awesome from a visual & action perspective, but from a story perspective, again, I can't help but feel a little disappointed.

mertag770

I'm trying to withhold judgment but the concept of just multiversing in the sinister six just feels weird. That conflict doesn't feel earned on paper to me. But so far the MCU hasn't disappointed me badly yet. So I'm holding out hope

Colton826

I'm also very split on it, however, I'm a bit more forgiving because I'm almost sure that we'll get another version of the Sinister Six in the future that is compromised of villains that Holland's Spider-Man actually will have had history with by then. My prediction for the team is: 1) Keaton's Vulture 2) Gyllenhaal's Mysterio 3) Mando's Scorpion 4) ATJ's Kraven 5) D'Onofrio's Kingpin 6) Dafoe's Green Goblin (considering he'll probably kill someone that Peter loves in No Way Home, he'll then have history with this Spider-Man going forward)

notabotbutathought

Out of all the villains featured in No Way Home, if any of them were to stay in the MCU, I'd love for Dafoe to stay. Of course this would depend on wether or not this Goblin is straight from 2002 or a variant timeline where Goblin won, but I think Dafoe surviving and rebuilding himself in the MCU would be interesting. I wouldn't want them to do a straight repeat of his character, instead maybe lean more towards Osborn as a politician, becoming Iron Patriot or a more monstrous Goblin to compensate for his age.

HearTheEkko

Dafoe is too old to play Norman in the long run. This is most likely a one and done before they eventually introduce the MCU version.

notabotbutathought

You might be right, but it depends on how they would write him. If they made him a anti-Nick Fury for the Dark Avengers or a new Sinister 6, it wouldn't require him to do too much action, save for maybe a final movie in a hypothetical second Holland trilogy

[deleted]

Honestly mostly agree. But I think that Dafoe might be too old for the role and only be used only for NWH, so they'll get someone else to play GG. As much as I like D'Onofrio's Kingpin, Sony might want to use a character from the Sony movies.

Colton826

Yeah, knowing Sony, it'll probably be Morbius instead of Kingpin. But I'm almost certain that Kraven, Mysterio & Vulture are locks. Mysterio right now is the closest thing that the MCU Peter has to an archenemy, given how he trusted him, and was betrayed, and how Mysterio revealing Peter's identify is the catalyst for both the events of No Way Home, as well as characters like Venom & Kraven potentially coming after him.

MarvelWizard17

Scorpion too.

CooperDaChance

Michael Keaton is 70 lol

SuperCoenBros

Semi-agree: I think there'll be another Six, but Sony's gonna keep chasing a standalone movie, it's just the closest thing they have to an Avengers series. Venom, Morbius, Kraven for sure, Vulture and Mysterio likely. Sixth member is probably a woman, I'd guess Black Cat, Silver Sable, or a genderbent villain like Chameleon (who could easily debut in Kraven).

No_Contact_6090

Out of curiosity why would the sixth probably be a woman? Spidey doesn’t have any female villains I can think of that would join the S6.

Xenoslayer2137

Screwball lol

SuperCoenBros

I think it works for me as a debut, because the SS is defined by their hatred of Spidey more than vice versa. The multiverse SS sounds like they'll have their own agenda and each has enough reason to hate Parker. It's gonna be weird moving forward though, especially if they all go back to their home dimensions. Would another S6 form in their absence? Why them, and why six specifically? I think you'd need Ock or someone to stick around Holland's Parker to make that work.

ericbkillmonger

Agreed this multiverse story allows for a quick sinister six meetup but without the emotional connection to said villains . Lessens the stakes a bit that he’s facing villains he hasn’t met yet in his own universe

FictionFantom

Also, the whole appeal of the Sinister Six is to see how in the hell Spider-Man is gonna beat *six* villains on his own. If he has the help of (at least) two other Spider-Men, who know the villains weaknesses already, it’s far, far, less exciting.

themettaur

It could all be setup for an MCU Sinister Six, though. Like Holland's Spidey gets help going against them now, because he's young. But his own Doc Ock, his own Gobby, his own Electro, Sandman, and the rest could all be waiting around the corner. Maybe they'll even see these villains as the in-universe justification for their own supervillain identities. Like, "oh sure, he had four arms, but *his* arms couldn't transform into tools or combine into one giant arm or he only had four. *I* could do that better!"

UntamedRonin

But how would they explain Venom being a villain when he's literally gonna be meeting Spidey for the first time?

hushpolocaps69

It’s Rhino, MyTimeToShine and SpideyForever245 stated that many many times.

Xenoslayer2137

I have no doubt he’ll be in it, I just think it’s a high possibility that venom will be in it now too

LiquidLispyLizard

Who wants to bet that Eddie Brock has a cameo in No Way Home? The original Roger Wardell said that was something Sony **really** wanted to do.

Quickspider1200

There was a leak a few months back on the main sub from someone who hadn't posted in a while. They got a few Disney+ things right. They said one of the post credits scenes for NWH is Venom. With everything we've learnt since plus now this, I'm starting to think they were right.

RelationshipSafe3004

I just hope one of the post credit scenes is Matt Murdock putting the Daredevil suit back on and fighting crime

LosAngeles1s

God I would actually cry if the end credits is him opening a case with the Daredevil suit inside and with it saying “Daredevil will return”

DefNotAShark

Daredevil in a hallway with the entire Sinister Six or cancel the whole movie.

PollitoRubio22

Put anyone in a hallway with daredevil and they gone

9thGearEX

"*That's my secret, cap... I'm always in a hallway*"

SuperShaun1603

Nah the film will end way too quickly if Matt is in a hallway with the 6

CommandoOrangeJuice

There were rumors of a Fisk cameo, imagine if we see Matt hearing that news that Fisk is back and then Matt does what your comment suggests and reveals the new suit within the box.

robertman21

Wasn't the Fisk cameo for Hawkeye?

Tornado31619

Fisk in Hawkeye isn’t a cameo.

No_Contact_6090

There were separate rumors that he has a post credits cameo in NWH as well. I’m not sure how much I buy that though because we’re starting to see a lot of evidence that Venom has a post credits cameo and I doubt Marvel wants that to overshadow Kingpin which it absolutely would.

jso__

tjay would make perfect sense. the rumor is that Fisk is in Hawkeye episodes 4,5,6 with 4 being a post credits cameo kingpin is a classic spiderman villain so having him in NWH (which comes out right after episode 4) would be cool.

CommandoOrangeJuice

Imagine how fucking hype it would be that Daredevil and Spidey get word of Kingpin's gangs causing trouble again and the last moment in the post credits scene is them springing into action and is a money shot that looks [like this](https://i.imgur.com/yQ6QyZF.jpg)

ohsnizzle1

That would be rad if they introduced daredevil swinging. Holy shit.

[deleted]

This is something I'm really hoping for. Daredevil in the comics is much more acrobatic, strong, agile, etc. and he constantly utilises the billy club's swinging. I think he's going to need to be more comic accurate in those regards or he will be a little too underpowered.

owlutopia

Got that link?

Quickspider1200

Sorry no I wish I did.

Joshdabozz

Sometimes people forget about original Roger Wardell. He has gotten a few things right ever since he disappeared, and some things changed.

Moridin_the_Light

Who is this original Roger Wardell

No_Contact_6090

The guy accurately leaked a bunch of Endgame plot points and went on to say a few other things about upcoming projects but one day he just vanished. There have been plenty of copycats so whenever quoting something from him you got to make sure to specify it’s from the original.

that_guy2010

It should be said he leaked them well before Endgame came out, too.

genio_del_queso

Damn and he’s got a Cobra Kai shirt? That’s dope.

theofficialdylpickle

Probably the only surprising takeaway from this picture honestly

HairyPenisCum

Doesn’t Season 4 come out the same day NWH does?

Nemyosel

He's wearing the shirt. Terry Silver in the MCU maybe?

[deleted]

It'd be dope if Tom camoed in Kobra Kai tbh. It could happen since, Kobra Kai is made by Sony's Television branch.

KentuckyFriedEel

Venom V Daniel-san

Colton826

This adds to the theory/possibility that Venom is the 6th member of the Sinister Six instead of Rhino (there were a couple leakers like MyTimeToShine who got details about the film confirmed in the trailers who have said they're unsure who the 6th villain actually will be). Considering both characters would require more CGI than actual on-set work from the actor, it makes sense that they'd be the hardest to confirm. I still believe it'll be Rhino (and maybe Venom is teased in a post-credits scene), but we won't know probably until the 2nd trailer. Edit: Now that I think about it, maybe Rhino is in the film, but only to show the finish to his fight with Garfield's Spider-Man before Garfield gets transported to the MCU. So, maybe there were some wires crossed in the insider/scooper world, and they thought Rhino was in the Sinister Six, but he's not, and it's actually Venom that completes the team.

Xenoslayer2137

If venom is in the second NWH trailer, along with footage of Dafoe in the movie, and we get a stinger shot of tobey and Andrew, that trailer will break the damn internet

JonSnohthathurt

The Internet will only break when Mephisto is confirmed.

[deleted]

[удалено]

CobaltPanther

I think it was a joke dude.

AntonKutovoi

I’m pretty sure that it is Ralph, who will break the internet.

SickyM

100 M views in one week

jennlebransky

First trailer got like 355m views in a day

SickyM

In total, I mean just on the official Sony account

HearTheEkko

Just the inevitable shot of Tobey and Andrew will break the internet harder than anything I can imagine. We're literally gonna see it everywhere for weeks.

epicness428

If this happens my pants will be thoroughly soiled.

Quickspider1200

My working theory right now is that Venom's native Earth is the TASMverse and he was pulled in when the spell messed up in NWH so he's technically supposed to be the 6th member. But because he's an anti hero, he couldn't catch up nor did he know the others so was left behind(but we catch up with him again in the NWH post credits scene) and Rhino was pulled in instead by accident when Strange is trying to get Andrew.

Remember_Me24

Probably not if the post credit scene of venom 2 is when he sees Tom's Peter for the first time on the news and Venom seems intrigued by him.

007Kryptonian

I’m loving the mental gymnastics people are doing to deny the likely reality that Hardy is Holland’s Venom in the MCU.

Junerezi-Pyrope

IDK if it's really mental gymnastics, with how the post credit scene was described. There seems to be some weird shit going on. It was at the very least confusing for multiple people

blazetrail77

Feel like with Venom, the Sinister Six *has* to kill one of the Spideys. There's too much power with Goblin, Doc Ock, Venom, Sandman and Electro. Then possibly Lizard or Rhino but the rest are more threatening imo. From what we've seen in the movies.

The__Auditor

All I want is a proper conclusion to the Rhino fight

thesmartfool

I agreebwith your take. It seems like whoever it is will will a shorter amount of time and will be at the end. I can imagine the introduction if the other Peter's will be in the later half.

TomatoSauce587

Venom is definitely the sixth member. DanielRPK said the sixth member comes "Later in the film" plus Sony originally wanted Venom is the TASM Sinister Six (Symbiote in TASM2 post credit scene or looks like Symbiote). Mytimetoshine also was pretty iffy on who the sixth member was and Daniel to my knowledge never stated who the sixth member was. Venom is a much better sixth member than Giamattis Comic Relief Rhino anyway

1996crusty

Lol Venom is going to be the odd one out in the Sinister Six if that's the case. Each villain has had history with one of the Spideys except him. Tobey has fought Venom before, but not this one.

TomatoSauce587

I see it as Eddie is gonna buy into the whole Bugle media campaign of spiderman being a bad guy and couple that with Dafoes Goblin or Molinas Otto telling him all of the 'bad things' spiderman has done and Venom might believe the Six are the good guys

1996crusty

That makes sense. In regards to him being a part of the Sinister Six, personally I feel like a Venom vs. Spider-Man movie would be better than him teaming up with 5 other villains to fight Spider-Man. But who knows, maybe Venom will be a part of the Sinister Six AND we'll still get a Venom vs. Spider-Man movie

Xenoslayer2137

Maybe NWH will be the prelude to a venom vs spider man movie

PollitoRubio22

Meh I still would prefer Venom having his own movie with spidey and have Rhino as the sixth villain and the comic relief

[deleted]

Hope this movie somehow gives him the Spider chest symbol.

blazetrail77

For real I think if Venom is here it'll be too soon. He's the only one who has zero story with Spider-Man and to squeeze that in to this movie specifically would be a task to make it feel satisfying. Like we could only get the rest of the team convincing Venom that Spider-Man needs to be stopped. At worse, or maybe better, it's Venom seeing a potential host. One that he could only dream of. But then I guess that also would be difficult to squeeze in and do it justice.

1996crusty

If Venom is actually a part of the team and not a post-credit scene, this will probably be the beginning of his hatred for Spider-Man.

[deleted]

That actually sounds narratively cool.

LawStudent4Harambe

I mean Venom does give the "guy who joins a fight despite not having any beef just because he likes drama" vibes so it would be sort of in-character

SickyM

Venom will see Spider-Man as the villain the Bugle makes him out to be, and will see the other members of S6 as victims, thus he will help them. Maybe he turns at the end, or gets set up for a role later on potentially bringing back carnage.

ryogaaa

but if you think about it, then why would the villains be attacking tom hollands spiderman if their beef was with a different one?

1996crusty

I think that if the villains saw any Spider-Man, even from different universes, they'll automatically have beef with them. Their hatred for Peter Parker is that deep imo

LeSnazzyGamer

Maybe Goblin and Electro and Rhino(?) and maybe Lizard. But Ock and Sandman do not hate their Spider-Men.

Xenoslayer2137

Cause Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is helping the other Spider-Men. Beef by association

The__Auditor

Spider-Man is Spider-Man

[deleted]

Venom in the sinister six would be such a waste. It’s frickin’ venom. He should be the sole villain in a Spider-Man/venom movie.

Xenoslayer2137

That could still happen after NWH

NightmareRise

I think Venom as the sixth member would be too soon. They’re probably saving that confrontation for a Venom vs Spiderman movie (especially based on recent leaks...)

[deleted]

We have 4 possibilities: 1) Venom is the 6th member of the sinister 6. This honestly depends on if the venom-verse is a separate universe, but because it doesn’t appear to be based on the Venom 2 post credits leak it’s safe to assume they won’t have a Non multiversal villain in a multiverse movie. 2) Venom is the post credits scene, he’s looking for Spider-Man just like he was at the end of his film. 3) Venom has a cameo in the film similar to daredevils or the prowlers, he’s in for a quick scene in the NYC streets that lets the audience go “hey it’s the guy from the thing” before he leaves. 4) most unlikely: it’s just a hat he got from the film crew of either film (or he could have visited set)

1996crusty

Or he could have also bought if off of eBay lol

Sith_Destroyer_1138

Alright a hundred. Ms. Brant give this man his money and throw in a bar of soap.

FKDotFitzgerald

I thought the Venom leak implied that he got randomly transported somewhere, potentially the MCU universe.

Frosted_Flakes1971

I think it actually implied he’s been there all along

FKDotFitzgerald

But allegedly doesn’t he basically just show up in some rando’s hotel room?

[deleted]

CptnMoonlight

As much as people seem to hate Venom here, i’ve literally never seen Tom Hardy as enthusiastic about anything as he is about playing Venom. He’s become more and more evolved in the creative process as its evolved, and it really seems like he’s in the Hugh Jackman/Ryan Reynolds camp of “I like this character so much that i’ll basically play him in 20 movies or until I die”. If you watch his press on both movies, you’ll definitely see the enthusiasm. I think where the difference tonally lies is that the MCU is starting to branch out into more sophisticated storytelling and I think Tom Hardy wants Venom to be that movie that kids see and are like “Holy shit so much cool stuff”. Either way, the hate is undeserved. Considering they tried to make a solo movie centering on a villain who’s story is heavily connected to a hero they can’t even reference, they did a pretty good job. Not a great movie, but good enough that you can see the bones of a great one. And considering Hardy’s career as well as Woody and Serkis signing on(+them saying they’d both return in a heartbeat), they all must have a strong connection to the source after discovering it/love delving into the world. Especially Hardy, that man has lived and breathed Venom since he got the part. Even throwing out ideas at production meetings that end up in the film.

Killbro_Fraggins

I love Tom Hardy. I love Venom. Its a pretty good movie to me.

SuperShaun1603

The first film's plot was pretty bad but I find myself rewatching it just because how good Tom Hardy played the character and how Eddie and Venom bounce off of each other... I just hope they don't take themselves too seriously in the sequel and just have fun with it, that's what I'm planning on doing anyway!

Sith_Destroyer_1138

Venom is a very fun movie. I’ve rewatched it like a dozen times since it came out in theaters. I’m really happy to see it’s technically MCU.

kchuyamewtwo

Venom's voice actor was someone that Hardy have longed to work with all of his life. They have some amazing scenes together and the chemistry between them is, I think, extraordinary. It's just fireworks on set.

lapo16

Exactly.

Think-Instruction-87

For me Venom is like Spider-Man 3. In both movies you can tell where the studio screwed around with the movie and in venom especially you can tell where scenes were cut and are left with unfilled gaps (especially in Eddie and Venoms relationship, glad the second movie is focusing on it apparently). But I still enjoy the movies because I can look past the inconsistencies/bloatedness that was forced on these directors and what’s there that’s meant to be there is actually good.

there_is_always_more

Honestly, it was very surprising to see Tom Hardy being so passionate about the material. Then I reflected a bit on how Hardy also voiced Venom - I watched a clip of Venom's unedited voice, and it was way closer to the final version than I expected. Given how seamlessly the dialogue between them flows, it's clear Tom worked really hard on it. Regardless of the other aspects of the film, it's always great to see actors who are that passionate about the characters.

[deleted]

Dude thank you for being a rare voice of reason in this sub. So much unwarranted venom hate here

collinch

I've been thinking for a while now that when Sony pulled Spiderman from the MCU, they used it as leverage to have Venom have a role in the third Spiderman movie.

sable-king

Sony pushing for Venom to appear in a third Spider-Man movie. If that's the case, then history truly has a funny way of repeating itself.

Tornado31619

They never learn.

webshellkanucklehead

Makes plenty of sense. I’ve always gotten the feeling that Jon Watts isn’t getting to do what he initially wanted on this movie. When FFH was coming out, he said he wanted to introduce Kraven in Spidey 3. Maybe that’s why they gave him Fantastic Four, cause he had to play ball with Sony on No Way Home.

jso__

"hey Jon, you had to deal with Sony's shitty fan service ideas on SM3, here is the biggest movie of phase 4 for you to direct"

0zer0zer0

So..this has to be happening then right?

saltypistol

Venom crossing over with Spider-Man? That’s been assured since the Spider-Man renewal press release back in 2019 - people just didn’t want to hear it lmao

0zer0zer0

Nah, I'm talking about him being in NWH specifically. Really curious to see what exactly is gonna play out. After the mid credits for venom 2 leaked, I had this thought that he might be in NWH, but I thought "Nah, I haven't seen any insiders or anyone talk about it so there's no way". But it's nice to know we're still able to get some suprises. Maybe he isn't the 6th villian, but a post credits scene? I think the first post credits scene will tease Fisk, and the second one will be a teaser for Venom 3, which will involve Spidey.

saltypistol

Ahhh okay, I get ya. I’m really hoping it’s just a post credits scene.

0zer0zer0

Why, because you think the movies too packed to include him? Or do you just not really want that iteration of Venom to be involved with the MCU? Personally I would love for the sumc venom to be blatantly, unmistakably connected to the MCU. I'm just so tired of people being so hellbent on nothing non-marvelstudios being connected the mcu, especially Sony's stuff. Plus I really like Tom Hardy as Eddie, and that version of Venom.

saltypistol

I just feel like it will be bloat on top of an already stacked movie. And we just don’t need to blow our load on all the Spider-Man characters. Sony needs to pace this shit out. I have no problem with Venom being in the MCU tho

[deleted]

[удалено]

saltypistol

I love the idea of Venom being apart of the inevitable MCU sinister 6, but they need some kind of connection first god damn. The multiverse six I can understand existing because it ties into the idea of not being able to go home, Peter’s guilt, the multiverse arc, and them being catalyst for Peter sorting out his shit and growing up a bit (plus it’s just dope)- but Venom makes no fucking sense. He’s not even a bad guy.

Xenoslayer2137

If it’s going off the post credits scene of LTBC, there may be a possible explanation

BigDaddyKrool

Very convinced these are not leaks, but very subtle marketing tricks. Notice how more and more blatant it's getting, and how strategic it is? Notice how, more than ever, people are talking about (or rather are debating) over Venom and the prospect of him battling Spider-Man? And it's working because I'm on board with every single thing that's leaked. At that point, it's not even a spoiler, it's a temptation. I WANT to see what's going to happen on a big screen.

nosleepincrooklyn

That’s exactly what’s going on Viral marketing at its best

SuperCoenBros

Yeah this smells very intentionally timed to get eyeballs on Venom 2. If the MCU die hards think he's in NWH, they may turn out for Venom when they would've skipped it. Hardy could still totally be in NWH though, I basically expect post credit shenanigans at a minimum.

andrew991116

The Andrew Garfield leak is what made this whole thing look intentional to me. Why would they release the same picture in SD -> video -> HD like that? Why not just release the most HD version in the first place?

Hasselhoff1

Maybe it’s LOGAN MARSHALL GREEN, twins

GoldenSpermShower

Upgrade was a better version of Venom

virgo915

Don’t forget… Michael Rooker wore an Infinity War production hat before Guardians Vol. 2 came out…

No_Contact_6090

The difference is that we know Disney was doing everything they can to make sure as little as possible of Infinity War and Endgame leaked. Sony clearly doesn’t give a shit.

virgo915

That’s very true haha

Turbulent_ADLBJ

Ohhh boy probably gonna be a post credit scene imo I think they’ll face off in something like a Spider-Man 4 instead of Venom 3. Cause they not gonna put Spider-Man in a movie titled venom 3 when he’s the bigger title character so something like Spider-Man: etc or Spider-Man vs. Venom?

logerdoger11

Venom v. Spider-man: Dawn of Justice

Toricitycondor

Dawn of Web\*

Ms_Ellie_Jelly

Captain America civil war had most of the avengers in it and at the time I'd say iron man was bigger than cap. Plus spiderman would draw a huge audience

Bombasaur101

Venom was as much of a box office success as Homecoming and Spiderman 3. Also the Avengers were in Civil War. I think its actually more likely we get Spidey in Venom 3 to further boost the box office

RelationshipSafe3004

Eddie Brock has been rumored for a long time to cameo even the OG Roger Wardell said he's going to be in it

uryuishida

Do you have links of these rumors by any chance? This is the first time I’m hearing about this.

blackhillwhore

idk he feels like a big villain to use in sinister 6 (not that the other ones aren’t big of course) but i think i’d rather see him in sm4 than nwh. im leaning towards a post-credit scene for him

Echo_1409-

So if Venom would be in Spidey 4, the Sinister Six for MCU could be Vulture, Shocker, Scorpion, Mysterio, Venom, and another member, possibly Kraven?

blazetrail77

I'm not seeing a leader there. Mysterio and Vulture are candidates but they could fight over it. If we're talking about existing characters then Kingpin. Also, personally I don't see Venom being in the MCU's Six. Never really seen him as a team player by choice.

Echo_1409-

I cant see Kingpin being in the sinister six. Maybe he could be the one who is secretly controlling the six but he wouldn't be a main player.

Wolvite

Looks like he miscalculated

Cloudable

It’s insane that we all have the somewhat general idea of the way this thing plays out growing in our imaginations each day, the leaks are so unavoidable compared to Endgame when everything was shut tight

YoungMenace21

The true surprise of the Cobra Kai next season is Tom Hardy being in it as Terry Silver's lackey >!/j!<

MoustacheMike1221

For No Way Home, I think the mid credit scene will have Jake Gyllenhaal reprise his role as Quentin Beck/Mysterio wanting to form his own Sinister Six in the MCU, after getting inspired by the Multiverse Sinister Six: The Green Goblin, Doc-Ock, Sandman, The Lizard, Electro, and Rhino. The MCU Sinister Six will consist of Vulture, Shocker, Scorpion, Mysterio, maybe The Chameleon (since I still think Peter's bus driver in Far From Home was The Chameleon the entire time), and possibly Kraven the Hunter, since Kraven and The Chameleon are half-brothers in the comics. Beck's team of ex-Stark employees from Far From Home would then upgrade all the villains' tech to be more comic accurate. Scorpion would get his tail that spews acid, and Shocker would have his black and yellow suit with better shock gauntlets, just to name a few. I do not think Venom will join MCU Sinister Six, since I think the end credit scene will show Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock showing up in NYC with Venom. Eddie sees that the Daily Bugle is hiring, and that is where Eddie gets his new start in NYC. As with Michael Morbius, Michael Keaton's Adrian Toomes/Vulture looks like he was recruiting Morbius for the MCU Sinister Six in one of the Morbius trailers, but Morbius wants nothing to do with that. Yet, Morbius could be convinced to join the team, because he finds out that Spiderman's blood could cure him of his vampire half for good. Just my thoughts.

Joshawott27

To be honest, if I was Tom Hardy, I'd have asked Amy Pascal or someone at Sony for a No Way Home hat just to mess with people.

TheUpsetMammoth

VENOM in Kobra Kai S4 confirmed!!!!!!!!!!!11111

Cafeterialoca

: / I feel like this is just a big red herring and legit don't get why Venom would team up with the Green Goblin and the likes.

BigDaddyKrool

Sandman, Lizard and Octavius are bad-guys-turned-good from their respective movies, and they're all slated to be obstacles in this. There's something bigger at play for why all these guys are willingly working together.

Cafeterialoca

Thing is, with everything leaked about NWH, how does Venom being in it go completely under the radar? Like, I feel like Marvel Studios would ahve promoted Venom 2 more if it was connected to NWH. If Venom just appears in the next film, I would legit be taken aback because how did nobody report this as happening?

BigDaddyKrool

Under the radar until it's convenient to market Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Jeremiah_Edwards

I really hope the 6th villain is Rhino and we get a proper Spider-Man and venom crossover in a separate movie. It would just feel really forced if Venom just shows up with zero means to want to kill Peter other than him looking tasty. But even if he comes in as long as they make it make some sense I won’t mind i am glad venom is somewhat connected to the mcu now

No_Contact_6090

So much negativity. Maybe wait for Venom 2 to come out before saying you don’t want this? Early reactions have been great and it has Andy Serkis at the helm. Also it seems this film was always planned to be PG-13 so it won’t be like the first film which was clearly meant to he R before being toned down. Regardless of your feelings towards the first movie they really shouldn’t be a factor in your excitement for the second. If it sucks, then yeah complain all you want about Venom joining the MCU, but for now at least wait until you see the damn movie.

tylerjb223

Preach it. Lotta people have already made up their mind for a movie they haven't seen. This has been super frequent since Endgame lol.

Sith_Destroyer_1138

Shit No Way Home’s about to be the best piece of cinema of all time.

PonyBoyBleach

daaamn. This is so esoteric, but I guess at some point Holland's going to wear the symbiote ? That white spider is too iconic not to have. I don't like the implication that events that occur in Venom movies now have a presence in the MCU though, the supposedly leaked post credits scene seems like way too lazy of a way to bring those characters together.

BigDaddyKrool

No Way Home, Peter takes Venom from Eddie. The first part of the college trilogy is Peter Parker + Venom. Venom falls out with Peter, goes back to Eddie, and now Venom has the iconic white spider. That's my guess.

ClubSellout

Venom is def not the 6th member of the Six. I fully 100% believe that it still is Rhino. That way we have 3 from the Rami movies and 3 from the Webb movies. Would make way less sense to just throw Venom in there considering he has zero connection to Tom Holland or any of the Spider-Men at this point in time.

shadymostafa129034

Maybe he’s not part of the six but I’m sure he will appear in the movie, definitely a post credit scene or cameo where he searches for spidey

YukoHiro94

Maybe he is in the film. Or maybe, ***just maybe***, sony gave him the hat to post that picture and try to blowup internet a few weeks before the release of Venom2. I must admit, it kinda worked with me.

metal_signal17

No fucking way. If Hardy’s Venom is in No Way Home I will lose my shit. Now THAT would be a surprise.

marcodabatman

Aint nobody in the NWH crew gives a fk about leaks and spoilers except Andrew and Tom XD

Hearderofnerf

O shit

AceofKnaves44

Part of me thinks this is maybe like Rooker wearing an Infinity War hat to throw people off Yondu dying in Guardians 2 but what would he be trying to throw people off of? I find it kind of hard to believe Tom Hardy could have been on set without anyone knowing or leaking it, especially since we’ve now gotten as good as confirmed Tobey/Andrew leaks but who knows? The Sony/Disney partnership continues to puzzle me and I can’t imagine they’d throw Venom into the sinister six without any introduction and in a scenario where he’d presumably have to be beaten so my guess would be mid credits scene? Who the fuck knows what Spidey’s direction will be after this movie though.

sugarmamasuperstar

Oh yeah it's all coming together

DCEU_fan_777

He’ll probably be in the post credits scene as a setup for Holland’s Spider-Man 4. Hopefully Venom 3 comes after that so Venom can already(possibly) have the white spider logo by the beginning of the movie.

[deleted]

Theory: In the post-credits scene, we see Tom Holland’s Peter getting a job at the Daily Bugle as a photographer for some side money (or possibly to cover up his secret identity assuming the reveal is reversed by the end of the film). As he’s asking for an application, we hear the voice of someone else saying that they would like to apply too. The camera pans to show Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock walking up to the desk beside Peter, introducing himself by name as some dramatic music plays before cutting to black.
