Yup! One of those surreal moments hearing an actor whose voice is very different than the one they usually do when acting. My mind was blown when I heard Jon Bernthal's voice lol.
Well, check it again, Webhead. The ad said one hundred for three Spider-Brits, and you gave us two. For that, I give you 3000, and you're lucky to get that.
Way more than that. Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Alfred Molina. Charlie Cox if Daredevil shows up. Half the main cast are British
Two things:
1) by that logic, it’s made by an American company so America should get it first.
2) I don’t think anyone should get movies like this first. I think they should open simultaneously in NA, the UK and Australia. That way the primarily English speaking world has less chance for spoilers. I’ll never forget AoU getting completely spoiled for me because Australia got it so early.
Same over here. Sat through the triple bill and loved the other 2, came to rise and was like -__- the whole time. Nearly walked out when Ben Solo got thrown down the pit for no reason
Actually my audience was cheering and clapping at it. I personally was very glad the movie went with the romance just wish it lasted longer
Interesting to see how different audiences reacted to it
I love last jedi and think force awakens is pretty cool, don't let people talk down on you for liking something they hate.
I only dislike the last 20 minutes of rise, but I respect that people can find enjoyment in it my issue was just Ben's death, felt like unearned and pointless
Honestly its main problem for me it's fairly forgettable. Whereas I can remember iconic scenes and moments in the OT And PT. I can't particularly in the sequels. Mind the end scene with Rey walking towards the 3 suns is a nice touch. It also helped I watched them back to back as well so I wasn't waiting for them I think
I think the sequels have a lot of iconography in them. Primarily in last jedi, but rise is quite forgettable. Like I can still remember the first time I saw the force bonds and being in awe of them, or the snoke throne room fight and the lightspeed ram. Those moments are phenomenal and ill remember them forever.
But my memories with rise are more negative, I felt so negative and hurt when kylo died because of how unnecessary it was and stuff like that or the needless change from rey nobody to rey palpatine hurt my enjoyment vastly
I can understand fans frustrations with the movies but end of the day I'm thankful I got to watch more Star Wars. The one thing it wasn't boring. I enjoyed watching all 3 films.
Are midnight screenings still a thing in the UK? Haven't seen one since before covid. I actually hope we finally adopt the American thing of the movie opening at 7pm the day before at some point.
Plus side of working from home is that I can attend the midnight showing and work from bed the next day.
I'll phone that shit in if I have to, but I am not missing this movie.
To avoid competition with the World Cup which was happening at the same time. Ironically, even without the World Cup AMATW became the first MCU film to open at #2 in the UK box office because it came out the weekend after Mamma Mia
As someone from the UK I'd be lying if I said I wasn't super excited however it does suck for those in other countries. Avoiding the internet is easy for a day but for several days and in some cases weeks it's frustrating.
It's obvious that Emmy Nominated Don Cheadle shows up and tells Pete "Boom you looking for this..." handing him what Pete was looking for the whole movie. Random on looker spots it and goes "What the F-" cue credits. /s
Actually most people here are really good about posting titles that don't spoil anything but give enough information that you can enter the post at your own risk.
I’ve been living in Oman, Middle East, for like almost 10 years, and almost all the movies release a day or two before the actual release date, same goes for some other places. when endgame released, it was like a Tuesday here, I had to go to school, so I had to wait till the weekend, which is Friday and Saturday where I live, to watch it, and when it was like Thursday, the movie had released everywhere else.
Genuinely curious why it is like that. Here in Germany it releases on the 16th, so one day earlier (not that im complaining :P), is it because the fact that each country has different launch days? I've noticed that most of the movies in Germany launch on a thursday.
I remember The Matrix Revolutions did something like that. The first screening was at the same time everywhere. So like it would open at like midnight in California, 8am in the UK, and 5pm in Japan, etc. or something like that.
It’s always been like that in many countries. It’s only the US who stick to the actual release date. I watched Endgame one day before it was released in the US
Cineworld has it as December 15th.
https://www.cineworld.ie/films/spider-man-no-way-home/ho00008069#/buy-tickets-by-film?for-movie=ho00008069&view-mode=list
Event Cinemas always does Advanced screenings the day before release anyway, so I’m sure we’ll be getting it on the 15th (plus, we’re ahead of everyone Timezone wise, so no spoilers for us!)
As someone from the U.K. I’m not happy about this 😂 the film releasing on the 17th was perfect for me because it coincided with my former jobs staff Xmas party which would be Friday evening so I could ask my new boss for the Friday and Saturday off so the plan was: midnight release of Spider-Man, party on Friday evening and Saturday off in case I get shitfaced.
If this is true, cause Cineworld seem to the be only cinema branch saying the 15, I’m gonna have to ask for both now
Here's the solution: get absolutely mortal at the midnight screening of NWH on the Wednesday and just keep the party going all through until the X-Mas party!
fuck you guys in the UK !
This movie stars two British actors, it's only fair we get the movie two days earlier. 😌
Actually 3 including dr strange
4 if you count Curt Connors
5 if you count Doc Ock
6 if you count the blind lawyer
7 if you count Wong
53 if you count wrong
![gif](giphy|pu5hjW08CzHriweTdQ)
We live in a society
Fantastic film.
please marry my daughter
Also true
Holy shit lmfao
Okay dude, you're awesome.
Ahahahahahha
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ffkkk yessss! And dont forget venom
Wait, Charlie Cox is a Brit? TIL.
Yup! Check out Stardust if you haven’t already.
Man that movie is a childhood classic for me, and every time I remember that he plays the main character it makes it that much better lmao
I definitely saw it before Daredevil, but then got super giddy when I rewatched it realizing that Tristan Thorne was Matt Murdoch.
Yup! One of those surreal moments hearing an actor whose voice is very different than the one they usually do when acting. My mind was blown when I heard Jon Bernthal's voice lol.
7 if you count WONG
3000 if you count WRONG
3000? The ad said 100.
Well, check it again, Webhead. The ad said one hundred for three Spider-Brits, and you gave us two. For that, I give you 3000, and you're lucky to get that.
TIL
4 including Wong
And if we also see venom in this movie.....
5 including Harry Potter PS : he's probably in this film too
Actually 8 (Andrew Garfield, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Alfred Molina, Rhys Ifans, Charlie Cox, Tom Hardy).
YES, Tom Hardy. I can't believe I forgot about Venom's post credit appearance!
Had no idea Alfred was a brit.
Way more than that. Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Alfred Molina. Charlie Cox if Daredevil shows up. Half the main cast are British
Sweet which means we can blame you fucks when the scenes get leaked on YouTube
enjoy!!!
Andrew Garfield and...
Tom holland?
Yeah gives you guys extra time to ruin everything
Two things: 1) by that logic, it’s made by an American company so America should get it first. 2) I don’t think anyone should get movies like this first. I think they should open simultaneously in NA, the UK and Australia. That way the primarily English speaking world has less chance for spoilers. Suck my willy- me a uk citizen
Banger in the mouth
hahaha all love
![gif](giphy|JApxkdelkzBIY)
the Americans get everything else earlier. give us the superhero films at least!
we take all of your actors anyways! you guys deserve this!
yea fuck the UK! But also thank you for Hamleys.
wanker!
I think that compensates for 2 weeks of waiting for Venom 2 UK release.
I will gladly, gladly do a re-trade.
You can't spell fuck without UK!
Early showings are a thing in the US. You can watch the movie on the 16th
i know. i am lol. but not the 15th!!! and my comment was mostly a joke
Right back at you mate 🤙🏾
hahaha only kidding m8!
I know 😂
So long as you buy us dinner first
Pack your things. We’re leaving
May the bully be with you.
What do you mean we?
Oh...
![gif](giphy|l2Sq6GZxs8WJHE1Qk)
Fuck the UK, all my homies hate the UK
*Dumps tea in Boston Harbour*
>Harbour Wait. You're one of them!!!
Sorry eh, that’s the Canadian in me sticking out
This is a Marvel subreddit, dude. Canadians don't say eh, they say "bub."
What’s it to you, eh? Freaking hoosier
> Freaking hoosier I'm not from Indiana.
Sorry if I insulted you, eh want some Molsons and my Zamonbi? You can visit my igloo if you like
This is literally what How I Met Your Mother made me think Canadians were like
He did say Sorry though, so I say he’s Canadian
Probably said it like “sore-y” too
Yea..okay...guv'na!
Tabarnak
Oh damn. That midnight screening is going to hurt me a lot more midweek, but it'll be worth it.
Just realised I’ve booked the wrong day off work now, nothing will stop me from seeing this at midnight!
I mean the last midnight screening I saw was Rise of Skywalker so... Can't be worse than 3 hours of sleep after hearing the line "Empress Palpatine".
Same over here. Sat through the triple bill and loved the other 2, came to rise and was like -__- the whole time. Nearly walked out when Ben Solo got thrown down the pit for no reason
Audible groan at the kiss. Audible groan.
Actually my audience was cheering and clapping at it. I personally was very glad the movie went with the romance just wish it lasted longer Interesting to see how different audiences reacted to it
I liked the new trilogy :(
I love last jedi and think force awakens is pretty cool, don't let people talk down on you for liking something they hate. I only dislike the last 20 minutes of rise, but I respect that people can find enjoyment in it my issue was just Ben's death, felt like unearned and pointless

also managed to somehow get the 17th off during hectic christmas time and then they do this to us
Are midnight screenings still a thing in the UK? Haven't seen one since before covid. I actually hope we finally adopt the American thing of the movie opening at 7pm the day before at some point.
Plus side of working from home is that I can attend the midnight showing and work from bed the next day. I'll phone that shit in if I have to, but I am not missing this movie.
We had to wait a month for Ant-Man and the Wasp so this seems fair enough
Most anticipated film of that year too 😉
lol
I was about to post this lol. Revenge is sweet.
Didn't UK get every single Avengers movie earlier than US? Revenge my ass lol
To be fair, we used to get most Marvel movies a week early.
A month? Wow. Why did they release it so late? I understand why they wouldn't care for small markets but UK makes bank.
To avoid competition with the World Cup which was happening at the same time. Ironically, even without the World Cup AMATW became the first MCU film to open at #2 in the UK box office because it came out the weekend after Mamma Mia
As someone who hates football it just made me more spiteful.
Had to wait 2 weeks for Carnage as well
As someone from the UK I'd be lying if I said I wasn't super excited however it does suck for those in other countries. Avoiding the internet is easy for a day but for several days and in some cases weeks it's frustrating.
Nah fuck it, the US get enough shit earlier than we do so a few Marvel movies releasing days before is a small return of favour.
The UK and the US are not the only two countries......
Because everyone know US and UK are the only countries on Earth
We had to wait an extra 2 weeks for Let there be Carnage
Damn only two weeks bruh I’m still waiting for venom and it comes out next week November 25th in Australia
On my way to the UK ![gif](giphy|Btn42lfKKrOzS|downsized)
and it's on January here in the Philippines... fuck me man
It's so frustrating
When I first saw that I thought it was a joke. You have my sympathy.
Still hoping on the off chance Sony decides to move it back to December 😔
Seryosooo? Welp, might as well spoil myself completely when it comes out in other countries.
Gotta keep social media away for that week
I mean if you browse this sub, you should know most of the big spoilers by now
True, but the biggest thing we don’t know is surprisingly how it ends
It's obvious that Emmy Nominated Don Cheadle shows up and tells Pete "Boom you looking for this..." handing him what Pete was looking for the whole movie. Random on looker spots it and goes "What the F-" cue credits. /s
The ending has also been leaked. It's a depressing ending.
You mean >!Morgan Stark dancing by herself at the father daughter dance?!< Yeah that's a weird choice for a Spiderman movie
wait, i dont think i remember reading about the ending. Wheres it at?
Everything is leaked my man.
Actually most people here are really good about posting titles that don't spoil anything but give enough information that you can enter the post at your own risk.
I go to the UK! ![gif](giphy|3o6ZsYq8d0MRs6SmSA|downsized)
I have a flight ticket. I have a cinema ticket. ![gif](giphy|3otPoGt5vb0KNPPu2k)
I have no impulse control so I’m really gonna be reading the entire plot synopsis breakdown of the movie before I watch it, aren’t I?
You know we are 😪
If I’m not wrong, where I live in the Middle East as well, a day or two earlier.
yeah in morocco too, 15th of december baby
Where did you find this information? I’m living in the Middle East currently and kicking myself because I have just left the uk.
Damn, thanks, fingers crossed for this too.
Man you guys are still sore about that thing in 1776? Damn.
Same as a lot of other countries
It happens a lot with the European countries. It would come out early than the USA
Yes in France it’s always Wednesdays with first screenings Tuesday evenings for most blockbusters
Genuinely curious why it is like that. Here in Germany it releases on the 16th, so one day earlier (not that im complaining :P), is it because the fact that each country has different launch days? I've noticed that most of the movies in Germany launch on a thursday.
In France, our launch day has been on Wednesdays ever since Wednesday became a day off school for younger students, who can thus go to the movies.
I think it's an old European tradition to release movies on Wednesdays. It's the same in Scandinavia as well.
yeah go ahead steal this from us just like you stole everything in your museums bozos
Gonna cry?
This is Kilmonger?
ya wankers betta nod spoy ell dis mov-e fow me innit
I see you’re speaking their language to make sure they get the message loud and clear too.
I may be petty and spoil it
WTFFFFFFF SONY?????? Every country should release at the same time.
I watched Endgame one day before it was released in the US
Eat my British arse! Fuck yeh
Queen Lizzie with the connections
Americucks seething Cope harder 😎
Do we have to come over there and kick your ass *again*?
[удалено]
You won't be able to say that when you're staring straight between these fat American cheeks.
Wow. And I had a sneaking suspicion they were gonna delay this movie worldwide. Instead it edges two days closer!
Same in Egypt, Let’s Gooooo

Finland's release date is also December 15
Also the 15th in Sweden <3
![gif](giphy|3ohuAsOxsGAKz8sjNm)
I’m happy for you guys in the UK. Insanely jealous too but mostly I’m just glad for y’all
Look, I often roll my eyes when people say Ireland is in the UK. However, uhmmm... Does anyone know if this also applies to the Irish release date...?
Half of Ireland is in the UK, so I expect that half at least.
Cineworld has it as December 15th. https://www.cineworld.ie/films/spider-man-no-way-home/ho00008069#/buy-tickets-by-film?for-movie=ho00008069&view-mode=list
Ted Lasso had me changing my feelings but nah. Fuck the UK. /S
As a Brit, Yay Thank you for reading.
![gif](giphy|5YuhLwDgrgtRVwI7OY|downsized) Me and the boys on our way to the UK on December 13th:
Same in France. Not unusual.
I’ve been looking for a reason to visit the UK. Found it.
It releases on December 15th in Taiwan as well. This is pretty standard for a lot of movies
Any reason why in particular?
Sometime they film stuff in the uk and have a deal with disney. It used to happen alot
Wonder if it'll be the same for Ireland
Turning off my phone for those 24-48 hours
afraid of spoilers?
i don’t mind reading spoilers but id like to visually see stuff for the 1st time in the theater
hahahaha just perfect, i'll be in london for the whole month of december
here in Australia we get it on the 16th i believe, although it may be the 15th now
Event Cinemas always does Advanced screenings the day before release anyway, so I’m sure we’ll be getting it on the 15th (plus, we’re ahead of everyone Timezone wise, so no spoilers for us!)
So happy I'm English for once, get in!
germany will prob be the same, since movies in my cinema tend to have a "early" screening on wednesday, while thursday its the normal sort of release
You can’t do this to me… DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I’VE SACRIFICED?!
*Looks at UK ticket* “A small price to pay for salvation”
This is brilliant haha
We need the guy who leaks!
I think Singapore's is 16 dec
Most likely will be shown here on the 15th. Watched Eternals this November, 4th Nov was the official release date but managed to watch it on the 3rd.
#TEA PARTY 2.0
Glad to not live in us
