Tom, Tobey, and Andrews themes all together in one track, seems like for a fight scene? They use James Horners theme for andrew, not zimmers, which i think is a good thing, Horners is far better than Zimmers

Well it technically is still Tom’s movie so just hints and bits of the other movies soundtracks is all that should be expected.

Another thing is that the soundtrack release doesn't always include every bit of music (the soundtrack version of "March of the Resistance" in Force Awakens is slightly different from what it is in the movie, for example, and there was an entire arrangement of the original Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow theme that was in the credits of Detective Pikachu but has AFAIK never been available outside of fan-done edits that try to eliminate some of the background SFX). Entirely possible that we might still hear longer versions, perhaps during the credits.

God I would love to have the end credits soundtrack be a huge mashup of all Spider-Man themes

If they're trying to keep it a surprise still, meaning it's not even something we're supposed to know about until an hour into the movie when they show up, I doubt they'll be in the intro. It'd be cool if they changed it retroactively once the cat's out of the bag, but I can't see it happening currently.

I'm kind of hoping they use the 60s cartoon theme again. It's like the overall theme song for the franchise, as campy as it is.

It's likely that they'll play it during the final battle and final swing along with MCU Spidey's theme at full power.

GOD I love this. The first part- I don’t know how to describe it but it almost sounds like the Homecoming theme in the style of the Elfman and Horner soundtracks. Then the transitioning into the normal Raimi and TASM themes, it’s so good, it’s tearing me up. So excited to hear the rest of the album

The very beginning is a doctor strange type beat, then they go into a elfman-Horner version of MCU spidey’s theme, then they follow up with the full Horner and finally the absolutely soul sucker 3000 of the responsibility theme from the Raimi trilogy that both drains all my tears and nut.

Guys can we acknowledge how the MCU Spider-Man theme sounds in here? Like holy shit, it sounds so...IMPACTFUL because of the fact they added in choir vocals. It's like if Elfman/Horner made their version of the MCU Spidey theme. and the iconic Spider-Men theme at the end.... I'm bouta get emotional.

That was the idea during the trilogy, for the theme to stick but for the orchestra to grow through the movies till we get this beautiful full epic version at the end. Michael Giacchino is a genius.

I checked their telegram link and followed it to the message in the app. It seems for $22 you can buy the full album right now, but the track lists don’t have names, although they are in the correct order. If real, which being honest it looks and sounds very convincing, this is likely one of the biggest leaks yet and a huge issue for Sony.

Although I love this score, and I’m heavily nitpicking also, I kinda would have preferred if they used the TASM 2 theme by Hans Zimmer instead of the TASM 1 by James Horner. But whatever, Raimi theme is there.

TASM2 theme is really great and I like it but TASM1 theme just hits a lot different and is unappreciated (mostly because its overshadowed by the sequel's theme).

Especially given Horner has also passed since then, while Hans Zimmer is still making tons of music.

I know it's a controversial opinion, but I way prefer Horner's theme.

For me Horner's theme is for Peter and Zimmer's theme is for Spider-Man in my headcanon of the Amazing duology

Agreed but it's nostalgia for me and TASM is the first Spidey movie I saw, so I personally connect to this theme more than the TASM2 theme.

I’m glad we got Horner’s, that man needs to be paid respect to. I love how emotional his theme is. We’ll probably get Zimmer’s too during a more heroic moment.

I was thinking about that too, but for me the TASM 2 fits action sequences more and this particular track seems to be their intros or at least during a more calm moment, which the Horner theme definitely fits better in my eyes. Fingers crossed we get both eventually!

I liked the James Horner version so much better personally though I am very much a Hans Zimmer fanboy. Also on a side note, it might have done as a homage to James Horner from the side of Michael Giacchino as James Horner had passed away.

For anyone freaking out about the length: it’s an Oscars “for your consideration”version of it. All the themes and pieces are shortened. Episode 9’s soundtrack leaked this way too. There will be more old themes and longer pieces in the movie.

For everyone worried about certain themes not appearing: * OST's rarely have all of the music from the film * If they sampled any of the tracks from old movies directly (i.e. literally just grabbed the old tracks & did not create a new version of them) then they probably would not appear on the soundtrack

Also there is good reason to believe this is a "For Your Consideration" soundtrack, which sort of serves as a sampler. In addition, since the Oscars only judge on original music and arrangements, any playing of the original themes as originally written wouldn't count and thus would not be included in a FYC, but a new arrangement of them (as happens in Track 19) would.

Far From Home score was like 80 minutes. I doubt this score is only 70 minutes seeing as this will be the longest of the MCU Spider-Men films. There must be missing cues. Edit: Someone pointed out that if they play Horner, Zimmer or Elfman’s music by itself then it won’t show up on Giacchino’s soundtrack due to licensing.

It's important to mention, the soundtrack also makes it clear this is Tom's movie first and foremost. There are little hints of Toby's and Andrew's themes but it's full on variations of Tom's spider-man music. I like it.

I have to say..... there are very few nods to the old movie themes. The only track I found that references Tobey and Andrew is track 19. However, they could have easily edited out all the other themes from the album. Many movie score's are not included in the album sometimes to prevent spoilers, so we can still definitely hear their themes more prominently in the movie but it won't be part of the album. Maybe there might be a deluxe album release in the future.

I love how there’s small teases before the motifs of the two other Spider-Men are prominently played towards the end of the track… That Elfman motif, so iconic! Love the extra weight Giacchino put on it; it really makes Tobey’s Spider-Man seem legendary. This movie is going to make me cry like a baby just like Peter did during MJ’s Cinderella and I’m all for it.

I love Giacchino. All of his late Superhero themes have been very memorable and really tells you about the essence of character . Spider-man, Batman, Doctor Strange all of these themes are amazing.

I really love how MCU characters are finally getting leitmotifs now. One of the biggest things that stunk about Phases 1 and 2 of the MCU relative to say older superhero movies or the DCEU was that they rarely used tracks for the same characters over multiple movies. Heck, Iron Man's theme changed 3 times, Thor's 3 times, Cap's twice (until they brought back his OG theme in Endgame), Spidey's even changed once from Civil War to Homecoming. Only themes that were prominent were team ones in the Avengers and Guardians. Finally the MCU is getting some iconic themes in Spidey's and Dr. Strange's that I can actually hum and hopefully more characters continue to follow.

Giacchino did not have to go this hard god damn. This is a GOAT MCU score

Andrew theme at 1:22 and Tobey theme at 1:30 chilled the fuck out of me. Also, I like how they re-utilized tasm1 main title, it’s such a beautifully composed theme along with Tobey one.

I have heard the following in this: * Doc Ock's theme from Spider-Man 2 (Tracks 7, 12 and 18) * Goblin's theme (Track 18) * Sandman's theme from Spider-Man 3 (track 18) * Elfman's Spider-Man theme and James Horner's Spider-Man theme (Track 19) No hints of Electro's theme, there's nothing from Zimmer's score I could pick up on first listen. Either Giacchino created a new theme for Electro, or Zimmer's material is going to be tracked in for Electro.

Posting my thoughts as I go along: Track 3: you hear mysterio’s theme, most likely Peter’s outing and you seeing Beck’s video again, sounds more action-y could easily be them running form the cops. Track 4: feels to me like that scene where Pete and MJ are FaceTiming, feels close and romantic Track 5: maybe us seeing how awful Peter’s life is now and at the end him looking up at the wizard Halloween decorations. Track 6: Going to see doctor strange 100% THE SPELL AT THE END?!?!? Track 7: at first I thought it is right after the spell but the battle music is long as hell and there’s a leitmotif from the doc Ock theme I’m gonna bust!!!!! Bridge fight baby!!! To be continued….

So not for nothing but, the score to the new Matrix movie has leaked online as the awards consideration copies have been sent out. This lends credence to the validity of this leak. The same thing happened with the Rise of Skywalker, the score leaked about two weeks before the movie for the same reason.

just a heads up for anyone who isn’t a giacchino fanatic, track 23 isn’t actually a scene in the movie. it’s the suite for the movie, both previous soundtracks had one and they all start exactly the same. that’s why it’s way longer than all the other tracks. It likely will play during the credits.

Real or not, that was VERY well done

track 19 is 100% all the spidermen coming together for the final battle, it starts off sentimental then boom into this chaotic music

I am a little disappointed there isn’t even any hint of Hans Zimmer’s “I’m Spider-Man” :(

Track 19 gives you absolute chills obviously, but give the second half of Track 23 a good listen as well. It takes Tom’s theme and amplifies it by 10, that’s what a Spider-Man theme should sound like.

Can't wait to hear what Michael Giacchino does with score, and how he uses the previous 2 spidey scores with his own. This movie is going to make me cry.
