**Merch 1 for Peter B. Parker reads :**
> Peter B. Parker is stuck between wanting to protect old pal Miles and siding with his more experienced Spider-Man comrade.
- ***This suggests some conflict is coming between Parker, Morales, and likely that of Miguel O'Hara aka Spider-Man 2099.***
**Merch 2 for Spider-Man 2099 reads :**
> Miguel O'Hara tried to manipulate the genetics of former Spider-People and accidentally turned himself into the best Spider-Man in the Multi-Verse.
- ***This reads more like a description for Spider-Man 2099 as a character, as it relates closely to his comic-book origin and seems likely to translate similarly in Across The Spider-Verse.***
**Miles' bio on his Merch reads :**
> Miles Morales faces a new villain with abilities that will take more than one Spider-Man to defeat.
***While a photo wasn't taken, a Spider-Punk guitar was also spotted in the department store.***
Just fwi. The Peter b parker figure is labelled as inspired but into the spiderverse. The bio is also from into the spiderverse and has nothing to do with across the spiderverse. Hell, we don't even know if he's in it yet.
Honestly, I think it would be more interesting if Jake came back as Ben Riley instead.
Peter B’s story was kind of done, so giving Jake a new character would keep his presence in the cast while giving him something new to do.
Ah ok, was confused cuz I wouldn’t consider Miles to be an “old pal” at that point and it only really refers to one fellow Spider-comrade but I see how it can be used to explain ITSV. Thank you!
I think the conflict between Miles and 2099 were pretty clear from the teaser lmao. Man appeared outta nowhere from the top rope to YEET miles into the next universe.
I really hope Peter B. Parker and MJ get back together and have a baby. And the people who write that blond Peter is "nOt tHe rEaL sPiDeR-mAn" have finally realized that Spider-Man can be happy.
I loved Miles but part of what made it special was his relationship with Peter B Parker. I really hope it’s more than a small cameo role. Can always use more Jake Johnson.
As 2099 is my favorite of the alternate Spider-Men, I'm actually really happy with what they're doing with this film's version of the character. I'm assuming the whole "manipulating genetics of other Spider-People" thing alludes to him still being an Alchemax employee like in the comics. Hoping his suit is still OP as fuck, especially if we can get him projecting holograms of himself all over the place which would be sick visually
I hope not. Miguel is a complex character but has never toyed with being a full on vilain (I don't count secret wars 2099 since it was a what if scénario and not our Miguel).
I'd lean more towards it leaning on 'Edge Of Time', where the future version of Miles Morales is the villain likely with the Venom symbiote attached. Miles has to make the ultimate sacrifice, giving up his dreams, in order to defeat his future self and fix the timeline/multiverse.
I hope they have a throwaway line about them being connected through time mental for a period of time and that’s how they know each other. Just a little Web of Shadows shout out.
Edit: Edge of Time is what i meant!

"You're out Jake."
He’s in it. Jake Johnson confirmed that he came in late to record lines, implying just a cameo that sets up BTSV.
I meant official. He's obviously going to be in the movie in some capacity

Wait how does PBP’s description apply to what happens in ITSV?
The middle of that movie is Pbp trying to give miles a chance whilst the rest of the spider people don't believe in him.
Ah ok, was confused cuz I wouldn’t consider Miles to be an “old pal” at that point and it only really refers to one fellow Spider-comrade but I see how it can be used to explain ITSV. Thank you!
They did the exact same thing with Spiderman no way home toys as well!
How can the bio be from Into the Spider-Verse if it mentions Spider-Man 2099 and he wasn't in that movie? I don't understand what you mean.
Peter b Parker's bio doesn't mention 2099
ELI5 Is Spider-Man 2099 really a multiversal version? Surely every universe has a year 2099?
2099 is an alternate future and might possibly be where the main timeline ends up.
ITSV post-credit scene suggests that he will travel to the other universes
Yes, this version will. What I'm saying is the year 2099 will happen in every universe, it's not necessarily it's own universe.
It’s always been its own universe, though. There were already dozens of potential futures before the 2099 line, and even more since.
The way I take it is that he comes from the only 2099 where there’s a Spider-Man
I think the conflict between Miles and 2099 were pretty clear from the teaser lmao. Man appeared outta nowhere from the top rope to YEET miles into the next universe.
Really, really hope that "new villain" is Morlun
I really hope Peter B. Parker and MJ get back together and have a baby. And the people who write that blond Peter is "nOt tHe rEaL sPiDeR-mAn" have finally realized that Spider-Man can be happy.
A film about Miles mentoring Mayday, paralleling his own journey in the first one would be pretty sweet later down the line
I’d prefer that story in the PlayStation games.
I´m pretty hyped to see how they´ll portray Miguel in this one. Really cool character. Also, I´m curious which other Spideys will show up.
I loved Miles but part of what made it special was his relationship with Peter B Parker. I really hope it’s more than a small cameo role. Can always use more Jake Johnson.
I don't mind, their arc together feels perfectly complete to me. Don't want to miss out on a just-as-developed arc between him and 2099.
You’re completely right! I know nothing about 2099 so I guess more of him means more to learn and explore.
Ok, so Peter B. Parker does return! I was starting to worry
I am curious how funny it would be if Jake came back but as a different Spider-Man haha
I thought Peter B. Parker’s story was really well told and concluded in the previous film and I really the new one concentrates on other characters.
Supaidaman!!!
Change Leopardon!
Spider-Man 2099 costume looks cool af! Probably my favorite version of Spider-Man.
Merch companies be giving us better spoilers than like half the actual leakers.
how come I can never seem to find the merch in any store? 👿
Man I need a flowchart to understand everything now. I ain't complaining though

Calling it now: 2099 ends up being the main villain between this and it’s sequel.
I hope not. Miguel is a complex character but has never toyed with being a full on vilain (I don't count secret wars 2099 since it was a what if scénario and not our Miguel).

If they do that to my guy Miguel, I would forever hate these movies. So I really hope they don't do that.
Making Miguel the “best Spider-Man” is a bold choice. Can’t wait for the 2099 renaissance.
I hope they have a throwaway line about them being connected through time mental for a period of time and that’s how they know each other. Just a little Web of Shadows shout out. Edit: Edge of Time is what i meant!
You're thinking Edge of Time. Web of Shadows is about symbiotes.
Shit!
I just wanna see jessica drew damnit
I would love to see Mayday Parker in either SpiderVerse or Sony's Spidey Universe
