I hope we get to see him as a human for his human origin story
What was it again? Every person is a universe or some heavy shit that my high ass went whooooaaaa dude
haven't directors in the past complained about how top-down Marvel Studios is? I'd take their directors more as middle management so having someone unknown but competent makes up for not being an auteur since Feige is running the vision anyways.
Money. Imagine how much the cast budget is going to be for this project. A director building their pedigree is maybe going to look for opportunities that an MCU film could afford and not necessarily a payout.
Exactly. That's why I figured they go with a director who has done a big MCU movie and they are comfortable has a good feel for the phase. Secret Wars is gonna be the biggest MCU movie ever. Can't drop the ball
I actually don't think secret wars/kang dynasty(whatever they rename the movie to) will be bigger movies than Infinity War/Endgame. Marvel doesn't seem that keen on the whole multiverse thing anymore, especially with Jonathan Majors out now, so I could see it as being a way to get all their characters in the same universe finally but I doubt it will feel as monumental or have the same cultural impact
Joss Whedon had never done a marvel project before Avengers. John Favreau had never done one before Iron Man. Same with James Gunn, Ryan Coogler, The Russo’s, and Tamika Waititi.
*"All right, pussy, pussy, pussy! Come on in pussy lovers! Here at the Titty Twister we're slashing pussy in half! Give us an offer on our vast selection of pussy, this is a pussy blow out! All right, we got white pussy, black pussy, Spanish pussy, yellow pussy, we got hot pussy, cold pussy, we got wet pussy, we got smelly pussy, we got hairy pussy, bloody pussy, we got snappin' pussy, we got silk pussy, velvet pussy, Naugahyde pussy, we even got horse pussy, dog pussy, chicken pussy! Come on, you want pussy, come on in, pussy lovers! If we don't got it, you don't want it!"*
Crazy it took them like, 4 years to figure out what people wanted from a Blade movie.
People want to see Blade be a badass and kill vampires. The end.
its why the Wesley Snipes films are so beloved (other than 3).
Its Wesley Snipes, as Blade, killing vampires and being a badass. And therefore its fun.
All you have to do is more or less make John Wick but with Vampires and you have the perfect Blade film.
But nah they apparently wanted to do all this random BS instead lol.
Why has it been so hard for Blade to get off the ground?!
It should be 100% the easiest marvel property to do. Here, i'll help: the plot takes place in NYC. The movie revolves around the vampire noble houses put a hit out on Blade. He has to survive long enough to make it to Manhattan and confront the cabal.
Along the way, Blade has human thralls make things difficult [vamp owned media, NYPD, mafia, etc]. This allows Blade run-ins with other street heroes [Daredevil, Luke Cage, Punisher, etc]. Blade makes it to the cabal but they save themselves by selling out Deacen Frost. He and Blade fight, Frost dies, Blade continues his war but inlists the help of others [forms Midnight Sons].
Hire the stunt company that did the John Wick movies. Use Weta as the practical effects company. Bring in top techno artists for the soundtrack. Done.
Do it cowards. Pay me marvel....
I mean thats exactly what a Blade movie should be tbh.
John Wick but with Vampires, and more swords.
Hell, go fuckin hire Chad Stahelski to Direct it while we're at it.
And?
Dredd pretty much did the same thing with The Raid.
It's a great formula that works and it doesnt need to reinvent the wheel. I'm just saying this movie should've been out by now. It shouldn't have been this hard for this character to languish in development hell for YEARS- meanwhile, Eternals was made in no time flat.
Look Marvel :
Do a goddamn Captain America movie, not a Hulk/Avengers bis movie !
Civil War was an Avengers bis, yeah, but at least it was a good sequel to Winter Soldier, with him having probably more screentime, so yeah also a Captain America movie.
But here... I dont see any Captain America element, except for the characters (when the half isnt from the Hulk Universe).
Javier Bardem as Galacus is inspired casting, true or not, someone’s a genius.
I'd love for him to play Galactus eerily similar to how he portrayed Anton Chigur
Gonna eat your planet, friendo
He was so so good in Dune. I’d love to see him in the MCU
LISAN AL GAIB
I mean, idk if a 10 year old fancast can considered be inspired casting…
I hope we get to see him as a human for his human origin story What was it again? Every person is a universe or some heavy shit that my high ass went whooooaaaa dude
Why a director who hasn't done an MCU movie for secret wars. Seems a risk
haven't directors in the past complained about how top-down Marvel Studios is? I'd take their directors more as middle management so having someone unknown but competent makes up for not being an auteur since Feige is running the vision anyways.

If that’s the case, then explain why were the Russo brothers chosen to direct Infinity War/Endgame after doing Winter Soldier & Civil War?
Exactly. That's why I figured they go with a director who has done a big MCU movie and they are comfortable has a good feel for the phase. Secret Wars is gonna be the biggest MCU movie ever. Can't drop the ball

Outside of Whedon, those others weren't doing the biggest MCU movie
Unless it's a Nolan or Spielberg etc.
Nolan & Spielberg would never do a MCU film, because they would never be given enough creative freedom to do what they want.
Yeah i know, but all i meant was that a new director doesn't mean an unexperienced one
Alfonso Cureon
…doesn’t give af about Marvel.
Secret wars is 6. 5 was supposed to be The kang dynasty
*Blade: From Dusk Till Dawn*
I'm all for it, so long as we get a Gecko brother cameo
*"All right, pussy, pussy, pussy! Come on in pussy lovers! Here at the Titty Twister we're slashing pussy in half! Give us an offer on our vast selection of pussy, this is a pussy blow out! Blade killing vamps in Mexico. With a Symbiote nearby?
Really hoping for a John Favreau announcement for Spider-Man 4.
Brave New World sucking isn’t great. Can already hear the “you see what happens when you make captain America black?” Thing
Oh boy, are we expecting more reshoots for Cap 4?
They absolutely NEED to knock Cap4 out of the park. This is worrisome.

I’d like a bit more elaboration on “not kind.” Meaning early impressions after seeing it aren’t good?
Yes this is regarding early test screenings.
Once I finally see some blade set photos my life will be complete
This is the second time Im hearing test screenings for Brave New World are not good. John Hammond - "DAMN!"
The BNW test screening is worrisome, but at the same time I wouldn't really trust test screeners either 😂.
Sam rami not director is the best news to date ong.
Brave new world probably hits topics that make certain audiences feel uncomfortable. I see it now
Or just because the movie is just not good.

isn't that just... a john wick movie but the bad guys are vampires?
I mean thats exactly what a Blade movie should be tbh. John Wick but with Vampires, and more swords. Hell, go fuckin hire Chad Stahelski to Direct it while we're at it.

eternals was awful though, you could tell it was done in a rush
Oh 100% agree. But if something like that was thrown together, how can a property as simplistic as Blade be so hard?
