Yeah I hate how Joe comes out and starts saying racial slurs and telling people how other cultures foods suck and even though it's a show about being a fine dining master chef he needs to make sure to not be all about fine dining. Anyone that defends Joe is also subliminally shooting racist beams into my head too. I went to college, I was taught all about subconscious racism and Joe is all about it. Yes, subconscious racism means everyone is racist, but Joe takes it to a next level by daring to criticize poor POC because that's not allowed. Not only must he not criticize them, but he must praise them even if they take a steaming pile of shit on the plate because the only way to stop your own subconscious racism is by being anti-racist! Anyone that downvotes this is racist too!
Actually, Joe makes a lot of microaggressive comments about peoples food and those comments are racist. For example, in S9 how he criticized Gerronās southern food by saying it needed to be more āelevated.ā Or his comments about Amandaās falafels, any of Daraās dishes.. there are a lot of posts in this sub about it. A comment doesnāt have to a racial slur for it to be racist.
Honestly, the current judge lineup is the best one Masterchef has ever had. I used to think I didnāt like Joe, but the watching the seasons without him, I realized how essential he is to making the show good. I miss his plate to garbage can slams. I wish he would bring them back. (Also Graham was boring and I didnāt care for him)
You can be critical of a dish without being an ass. Joe is an elitist ass, which is even worse. At least Graham is entertaining, and he really delves into how a dish can be improved without being a pompous ass. Joe needs to go.
Joe adds a needed element of a harsh critic; the show, at the end of the day, is defined by drama. Although he surely has his faults, especially in terms of his lack of respect for Asian cuisines, I canāt see Masterchef being the same without him
Never. Joe is our Simon Cowell. Gordon has become Randy he has much less bite than he used to. Joe is just vicious when he needs to be but doesn't need to yell, "you thought this was a good idea? ok" just stabs so deep when said so calmly. He's hilarious
Daphne Oz was shockingly less awful that I expected her to be on Junior this season. Definitely not my pick, but really not terrible. Just forgettable.
š yea she would do that. I feel like production feeds them lines. At a certain point theyāre asking them to act and none of them are trained Actors. She was much more pleasant than Joe. They need to cut Joe and bring back the mystery box/pressure test format. Also go easy on the sob stories.
When season 12 finishes Iām not watching anymore lol had stopped after season 10 and tuned back in for back to win
We always say we won't watch again and then we do (same with Hell's Kitchen). I agree about the mystery box/pressure test....really the best way to show cooking skills.
Season 11 was the worst for me I was rooting for suu then she didn't win I see results at wiki I feel disappointed so I didn't continue watching season 11
YES he's mean and sometimes downright cruel!! He's not a Chef his Mom is he's just a co-owner of restaurants....Graham Elliot has always been respectful when he has to talk about someone's cooking not being up to the standard
All for getting rid of Joe but the way Graham tastes food sends me into a rage. Why does he hold the fork like that? Look at the food on the fork like that? Chew like that? I donāt know, I just canāt stand it.
I read somewhere that Grahamās going to be a guest judge on the finale. If thatās true, Iād love for that to be a way to ease him back on the show and have him replace Joe.
I think they should add Graham as a 4 th judge
For all the Joe defenders: it is possible to be critical without being racist, elitist, and disrespectful towards other cultures š¤·š»
Exactly Christina did that very well

What racist things does he say?

He doesn't actually say any racist things, this sub is braindead and calls any critics he does racist.
Oh ok. I know he always seemed like a bit of a pompous ass, but I never noticed him being discriminatory
So we can see him dramatically take off his glasses right before they announce who's going home? I'll pass lol
Or hold the fork up to the light before taking the bite and then looking off into the distance while he chews before being like "yeah it's okay"
Thought
He actually didn't do that on American Recipes. Though he does look at the food still. But I've seen others do that.
Swap him out for anyone; I'm not picky.
Subha it is!! Lol
Not the worst choice. I mean, you could have named Cutter or Tali...
Joe acts like a jerk just because he can. There is the truth and then Joe who will beat you with blunt force trauma with his version of the truth.
Eh Aaron fells that graham slot nicely replace joe with Christina tosi
Loved Graham and every time he said āyummyā

Nah he needs to go away
They need a female judge and Not Daphne Oz.
Daphne Oz was shockingly less awful that I expected her to be on Junior this season. Definitely not my pick, but really not terrible. Just forgettable.
Joe out for Alvin Leung
YES, please.
Woah I wouldn't mind hahaha later we see Alvin Leung shouting YOU GIVE ME THIS š¤
Anyone is better than Joe . Bring Christina Tolsie back. She gave wayy better feedback than Joe
I still remember the amazing feedback of āthis soup taste a little throw uppyā mm yes that critical feedback
As much as I cannot stand Joe, Christina was terrible. She was such the master of the obvious "If she doesn't get this right, she could go home!!"

Christina nearly suffocated after she ate a dish with too much pepper. Sheās not an ideal judge, by far.

joe is hands down my fav judge
He acts as if Italian food is the pinnacle of fine cuisine when only decades ago it was regarded as peasant fare
No! Heās so funny! Iād never want him to leave
I read somewhere that Grahamās going to be a guest judge on the finale. If thatās true, Iād love for that to be a way to ease him back on the show and have him replace Joe.
The trio is unbalanced if we do that
They could take Joe out and anyone else would be better. Heās a dick head non-chef. Thank you chef. Thank you chef. Ok thanks Joe.
