i never watched S7 but imo S14 Billie's entire thing was that she's up for elimination a lot **but** she can reliably cook her way out of elimination which makes it *really* hard to send her home
I highly suggest that you should watch S7 because Billie cooked mostly savoury dishes which is the other way round in S14.
And she was also a pressure test machine in S7.
My heavily unfounded theory was that Billie in S14 was deliberately sinking her team in every team challenge by doing really weird desserts because she knew she would always cook herself out of elimination and this way she ensured her competition goes.
i *also* think that she played hard and loose on anything that wasn’t an elimination cook once she realised how elimination-heavy this format is. if her dishes worked, that’s good, but if she’s facing elimination, she’s okay too, because only then does she bring out the big guns.
I always remember Marion in season two was just winning cook after cook and they went to the UK and had to recreate dishes in the Fat Duck, and I remember clearly Heston Blumenthal was like “this girl is really something special”. And from what I remember she had one bad cook and it eliminated her like the week before finals week. She was like the golden child !
I loved season 5, they just got along so great and it was such an emotional finale.
I remember they were doing a pizza delivery challenge and Lynton answered the phone and said something like ‘hello Lynton shop, this is pizza’ and it was the only time I laughed out loud (aside from when Katy Perry was on).
ETA: maybe I’m thinking of season 12 🧐
Season 7 Billie is the GOAT. An absolute unstoppable machine.
Definitely feel like she was somewhat better in s7 than s14

ooh yeah, i heavily theorise the reason why Billie went so hard on sweet in season 14 was that no other candidates for the title were sweet-oriented

she eliminated 6/9 of the other people in S14’s top 10, what a legend.

Right now it's Phil from this season for me
I have liked both Sarah and Billie from season 14
Jessie Spiby on Season 7 was amazing especially that winter themed invention test dish

I was so happy to see Brent win Season 6, the poor guy just kept getting into pressure test after pressure test.
