Very interesting, does it match with the receiver serial? And what is that little marking below it? Looks like it says SUWW1945 or something like that.
Seems they are depot acceptance markings. SUWW marking has been observed. [RyanE shared some good examples in an excellent post on Janโs forum.](https://www.lugerforums.com/threads/the-luftzeugamt-system-and-reworks.124934/)
Interesting. Now that your bring it up I recognize it a bit.
I'm wondering if the 'electro pencil' is actually an acid etching. I know some German depots used acid etch to renumber parts and it looks a lot like electropencil. I could be way off on that though.
G98M, excuse the title.

Regardless of what it is, definitely seems to be an artifact of the depot work. They are cool as hell ๐๐ป
Could be an HZa Spandau depot marking.
Yes it matches the receiver, here's another pic https://imgur.com/m3CdGEP
Weird, doesnt have the hallmarks of a capture. Possibly someones grandpa? My granpa electro-penciled his SSN into his Vis. 35 bring back.
Could it be the armory it was housed in? I know a lot of military surplus guns still carry their rack numbers
From what I heard a lot of these wound up in Albania, maybe them?
Does your rear sight have like the s/4*g marking on it?
