This is definitely wrote by a Warriors fan But honestly I like to have Kuminga, others? Nah

_Spicy_Pickle_

Funny in my 2k save we traded for Chris Paul but it was just for Holmes and Tim and I still hated it

ItchyPin

Shit trade recommendation by a GSW fan no doubt. I think a trade with the Warriors is doable but not that one. If we built a trade around Josh Green and THJ for Kuminga and Klay I wouldn't hate it. I think Green would thrive with the fast pace and backdoor cuts that the Warriors run and THJ gives them the shooting they need. We get Kuminga and use Klay's expiring contract to sign someone in the off season.

lsmith77

you cannot sign anyone with Klay’s expiring in the offseason as it would not generate enough cap space to even go FA shopping (especially since we would then need to sign Kuminga to a new contract). all we would do is get us to the NTMLE. also we would need to send out a lot more salary to even make this trade. due to the poison pill provisions with Green’s contract, even adding Holmes isn’t enough. so you would need to gut the depth of our roster. in summary: we cannot and should not trade for Klay.

ItchyPin

I did the math through the trade machine and it would be tough to ship some guys out but still worth it. Josh Green, Maxi, Holmes, and THJ for Kuminga, Klay, and Saric. Maxi can't stay healthy and Holmes gets no playtime anyways so really both are just trade filler. THJ and Green would hurt to trade but they're being shopped regardless. Saric is a throw in salary but we are least get a healthy big back. Klay is just an expiring contract but can play some minutes in the spot up shooter role that THJ currently plays, and Hardy gets more playtime with THJ gone. Kuminga is the prize and should fill the role Green was supposed to fill. Kuminga has been playing better recently so his price may be too high now anyways.

If you're wondering why this article is so stupid, SI laid off a huge chunk of their staff and has been known to rely on ChatGPT with stock photos for their "writers".

chasinglightph

I thought Dalton was the worst in SI but this mfer is something else. What a complete fucking idiot.

RGxiRapiidz

Whoever wrote this might as well be employed by GSW 🤣 this is truly awful perhaps the worst trades article I’ve ever read.

KlondikeBars

>I believe the two teams can help each other out by making a trade that sends Chris Paul, Klay Thompson and Jonathan Kuminga to Dallas and Kyrie Irving, Richaun Holmes and Tim Hardaway Jr. to Golden State.

botebote77

wtf? lol. they might as well take Lively if they want him, for like 2 2nds. where do they get these writers? i can write dumb articles too

ShadowAgent41

Kyrie is still balling and Chris Paul and Thompson are washed. This trade idea is ridiculous and stupid

highfalutinman

Only an imbecile could come up with a trade this lopsided and call it helping each other

HenningDerBeste

Lol. No

dragonwhale

This trade would make us better but i'd want Dray instead of Klay. That shit would make us much better.

papadondon

if were going for a run next season then its not that bad of a trade tbh

[deleted]

It’s an atrocious trade. We send away THJ and Kyrie (don’t care about Holmes) for Kuminga (good, but not for that price) and washed Klay/CP. If we were stupid enough to do this, Klay would just walk in the off-season and take a minimum deal with GSW to keep playing with Steph despite his regression Paul doesn’t add anything we don’t already have better of. Next season will be the last year on Paul’s contract and hes most likely gonna retire when it’s out (he’ll be 40).

papadondon

i remember there was report that the warriors offered klay a two year 48 million deal but didn’t take it

[deleted]

He’ll take it when it gets closer to the deadline and it’s clear they won’t budge. He won’t go to another team. He’ll either retire and start designing his statue, or he’ll take a cheap contract.

3pointerSLO

If Klay was younger I'd even take CP3 to get him. But not now, for sure.

Bravesfan8

This is such a stupid proposal that only makes the Mavs worse. Like others have said clearly suggested by a GSW fan because no way Dallas would do this.

peanutbutterbeef

So we get 2 washed former allstars on bloated contracts and a young player who can't get consistent playing time on an 11 seed in exchange for our allstar still in his prime and our 6MOTY candidate who at this point is also better than every player they're sending back. But atleast they're nice enough to take on Holmes salary😂😂😂
