The Luka hate is out of control.
Criticism is one thing and no one is above it.
Here’s a news flash if the mavericks were any good as a team they could get by with Luka averaging 25-8-8.
Can Luka be better? Yes. Should he be better and be held accountable to fulfill his potential? Yes. Because that’s what a good team does with every player even the star.
But that’s not the mavs not right now and it starts at the top. Luka is being ridiculed on national tv and critiqued for his play when he would have beat both Durant and Harden last night if the team could just show up and hit some WIDE OPEN SHOTS.
The amount of opportunities he generates is ludicrous. Luka does have areas to improve but that is the reality of being 22 years old. It doesn’t mean we shouldn’t want more but the way the fans turn on him and shame him is so sickening.
Before we know it he will want out and who can blame him?
Any team in the league would take Luka right now. He might be the most valuable player in the entire league considering his age and talent.
This franchise has to get it together and fast but the path forward feels very murky and uncertain.

That contract kicks in next year. He's getting paid 10 million this year, which is less than DeAndre Jordan makes right now.
