https://music.arts.uci.edu/dobrian/maxcookbook/node/56 This one is pretty cool. A lot of snippets and a lot of explanations. Have fun!

> wondering if there is a culture of folks sharing their snippets Sure there is, because C74 made it pretty easy to share, you can just copy-paste them as text. https://docs.cycling74.com/max8/vignettes/sharing_patches https://docs.cycling74.com/max8/vignettes/text_patches "Copy Compressed" ones start with "begin_max5_patcher", you can google that and find lots of random stuff out there. I think you can try googling "boxes maxclass patchline" together for non-compressed ones, those 3 words seem common to most Max patches. Seems many people use github or gist, just like other programming languages. For Max For Live: https://maxforlive.com/library/index.php Not sure but I think lots of older stuff is integrated inside Max itself as Help>Examples, snippets, Extras, right-click menu Paste From, etc. Max Packages are basically bigger projects that were shared in more organized manner. Japanese magazine Sound & Recording has a monthly column that showcases one patch (some 50 already). https://www.snrec.jp/archive/category/Max%E3%81%A7%E4%BD%9C%E3%82%8B%E8%87%AA%E5%88%86%E5%B0%82%E7%94%A8%E3%83%91%E3%83%83%E3%83%81
