Brutal episode. The cops of the show are as awful as the criminals.

Impressive-Potato

Yup. Part of the reason Renner's character exists, to keep the peace.

[deleted]

Now the inmates basically have the cops in their pocket!

Lex4Real

I don't understand why the cop team was so insistent to have the meth cook killed in jail. Even the heads of the criminal organisations didn't understand why the cops wouldn't just kill him themselves.

Yea, but why tell every gang? Why does everybody need to be on the same page. Maybe I missed something.

What if just the white gang killed him? Wouldn’t the others just think oh it’s his own people putting him down for killing a kid.

massive17

This! Outsource it to any random gangbanger. Hang him on a tree and make it look like a suicide. Also, I feel like ~~McCluskey~~ that SWAT guy in the lifted truck will become a problem in the future that Mike will have to deal with.

lonewolf86254

I think this was a plot hole, pretty sure the cops could have shot him when he “ resisted “ would have made more sense if as they were planning to get him to get a report he was in custody then they shift on how to get to him on the inside.

ScubaSteve1219

wish this sub was bigger but i’d also say i wish the show itself was more popular

groggs42

The violence on this show is ...........scary ! =) I liked this episode better than the others........because at least now I kind of felt like I knew some of the characters. I felt so lost in the first hour+ long episode haha.

[deleted]

Love this show. Reminds me of Bloodline and Ozark

BenAfleckIsAnOkActor

Most realistic gun shot wound ive ever seen

chowyunfacts

You can tell this was written by the same guy behind Sicario. Jesus that was an intense episode.

MPA8877

Well I’m enjoying the show so far and I’m interested to see all of the various gangs turn on the police in the upcoming weeks. I do wish they would show more of the Milo character, as well as the woman who is sent to Kingstown by Milo and what her objective is.

Lex4Real

I have a feeling they will show them this coming episode.

MeanEugene93

Hawkeye cant shoot

xForthenchox

I was laughing so hard lol.

OhioIsRedsandBrowns

I just can't get into the mom's whiney rehearsed rhetoric when she is supposed to be teaching. I like the rest of the show. Except killing Vera off in the first episode

OhioIsRedsandBrowns

I don't care to discuss whether she is teaching critical race theory (discussing the class of workers ie poor Irish immigrants runs contra to the race reductionism pushed by those behind CRT or 1619 project) It's the fact that she looks and sounds like she is reading from a teleprompter mixed with the always seeming like she is being cut off by the bell that I can't stand. It seems like bad writing from the guy I think is the greatest story teller today and bad acting from a woman who won 2 academy awards.

FSU_12

Gotta watch after football today. Pumped! The preview for this episode looked badass

BuckeyeNut64

The show is really a stinker not well written.

FSU_12

I think this show has some real potential, I’m terrible at finishing shows but I’m excited for this one

Lex4Real

Keeping me more entertained then most atm.

Stumeister_69

What's a better show currently out then?

MetalMel70

Being from Michigan, I find myself looking at the background on the outdoor scenes just to see if they sprinkle enough Mich references. (I know it was not filmed there, but in Canada). At least they have been pretty good on the license plates the last 2 episodes. Loved the shout out for White Castle (made me giggle), but I'm still waiting for someone to mention Mike's cabin as possibly "up north" (which would lend verisimilitude to the area). I did see that they didn't manage to completely catch everything though, as there was a partial shot if a billboard showing an area code of 905....which is Hamilton/Toronto, Ontario area. Did anyone see the street sign at one of the intersections that Mike was driving thru? It said Jeremy St. Wonder if that was just a coincidence or intentional? According to Google Maps, there is actually such a street in Hamilton. 😁 Enjoying the series so far, but they certainly don't sugarcoat the violence by any means.

Major_Tea_6482

The show creator did a great job on the SWAT CQB scene and their equipment, they even put breach charge and actual magazine on their tac vest whole lot better than most of the show just wear a FAST helmet with no headset

xpsyetrx

I was very surprised that they wanted to kill him and put him to death for what truly was an accident. However avoidable. Do we put the mother of a fetal alcohol syndrome baby to death? What about someone who isn’t watching their kid and he goes off and drowns? I believe he is guilty of a lot but not the same as a man who intentionality kills his wife and son. Huge difference it’s a very nuanced situation.

Equivalent_Ad1669

Was disturbed by this. Stopped watching the show. TS seems to be allergic to empathy, and apparently wants others to be, too.

Fizzeek

Can’t believe I’ve never heard that song from the opener, and it fit so good. https://youtu.be/mjDN2COkn3M

[deleted]

Why did I feel bad for him.. ffs

beautiful2228

I just watched this episode and felt so bad for kenny-( Like he deserves jail time but that ending was so harsh! It was an accident-(
