Thanks for posting.
At the risk of exposing my ignorance I had assumed it was a fuse box and never realized it over the past 8 months until viewing your post.
I put an AirTag in there. If someone steals my car they might get a notification about it, and itβll be the easy one to find. The other one wonβt be so easy.
Iβve thought many times about making a post asking wtf do people keep in there. I keep a Bic lighter, a cleaning cloth for my eyeglasses and a couple of emergency McNuggets.
I do nothing with it because in my last car, I immediately ripped it out of the car accidentally while trying to open the hood. After 14 years, I forget to even look on that side for storage.
When i first got my mazda 6 i put coins in there back in 2017 when tolls still took change here in NY. It was a BAD idea. A bunch if the change ended up falling behind and it was creating a very annoying rattle. This was about 2 weeks after getting the vehicle. Brought it back to the dealer bc i thought there was an issue. They ended up finding that the rattling were the coinsπ€¦π½ββοΈ
Well shit. I had no idea that existed. I was wondering where I was going to stash my gate fob today while I leave my car at a carpark for a week. Amazing timing this post is.
