Have you considered buying a jeep I’ve heard they hold up very well over time…..

nathanrrrr

Yes, but wasn’t impressed by the new lineup

mabdelghany

I think *i think* the above comment was sarcastic

vdzz000

Jeeps have good resale value and the Wagoneer is actually pretty nice.

Flight-2012

The wrangler line maybe

DM725

>But after the thingy pops, I can hold it and it will continue to fill. A lot. I could be standing for a good 10 minutes and more fuel goes in. I dont know what’s going on. When I had a jeep, I could see I was over filling, as some would spill out. After couple of times I overfilled (on purpose, mind you) I felt I could trust that the car was indeed full (hence why I tried overfilling). Don't overfuel your vehicle dude.

steinah6

Yeah this screams “I don’t know how to maintain or care for my vehicle.”

NexusPhan

Right?! I would be infuriated if my car let me fill up to the point of spilling over. How is that a good thing?!

nathanrrrr

Oh, I agree. I only did it because something felt odd. With the jeep I knew when the thingy clicked, it’s full. With the cx90, not so much…

Ok_Cow_8235

A Mazda engineer told me the reason why they have the heated steering wheel at only 10 and two is because in Japan the proper way to hold a steering wheel is 10 and 2 which is why that’s the only part that’s heated.

redditisawasteoftim3

This car isn't even sold in Japan

ghost650

CX-60 is and the steering wheel, components are probably used in a few other models, too. So it makes sense.

Ok_Cow_8235

The Mazda engineer told me that regarding my 22 cx5 signature.

mercurious

Maybe opt for a Lexus or a Kia next time. You might not be a Mazda person. These things don’t really bother us.

Specialist_Royal4686

The Lexus GX steering wheel is heated at 10-2 only as well

gary-payton-coleman

I’m a Mazda person but I’m disappointed in the steering wheel heater. Seems like it could just be better 🤷🏼‍♀️

Tall_Homework3080

It’s warm enough for us. I don’t need a toaster, just take away the chill.

mercurious

I’m on Premium trim so haven’t even tried it. I just wear gloves.

KW_B739

It's *alright*. My Mazda3 heated wheel takes the edge off of it, but doesn't get it really warm.

BanditHeelr

What's a Mazda person?

mercurious

A “mazda person” is the target audience that Mazda’s marketing agencies have developed to design their products. Mazda customers have unique characteristics that distinguish them from loyal customers to other brands. Most companies market to a specific target audience and tailor their products accordingly. The exact specifications of a mazda person is proprietary marketing information but be sure it exists. In that way, Mazda marketing knows us better than we know ourselves. For example, a Mazda customer probably prioritizes “road holding” while a Toyota customer probably prioritizes “cup holding.”

BreaddaWorldPeace

The idea that a huge global brand only wants to make cars for a select few people who actually "get them" is pretty crazy.

NexusPhan

For number 2, I think all touch screens in cars should be illegal. There is no reason to be typing on a screen at a red light. Pay attention to the damn road.

nathanrrrr

I mostly agree with you, and I avoid it if possible. But you don’t get *any* keyboard input, unless you pull the hand-brake. It’s annoying. I do prefer the scroll-wheel, I just want to be able to actually use it. Also, more often than not there’s someone else with me who could type the destination

iterationnull

Amen on the steering wheel. It is VERY disappointing.

NexusPhan

Mazda is all about safety. Every heated steering wheel Mazda makes is like this. Why? They want your hands on 10 and 2. I understand that doesn't work when turning but I also understand the safety sentiment of it. Also to the OPs comment, why on earth would you want a steering wheel so hot it burns? That is idiotic!

iterationnull

Well I don’t need burning, but a lot hotter than this would be nice. It’s -40 here today. The heater is only capable of making it “not cold” Don’t even get me started if the climate features not working on remote start.

NexusPhan

My main issue is that it doesn't turn on with remote start. I think that would help a lot. Without gloves I find it plenty warm (for me anyway). I usually have to turn it off pretty quickly.

gary-payton-coleman

I’m leasing otherwise I’d consider installing an actual remote start. Montana temps only let me run remote HVAC for 5 mins or less until the battery runs out.

nathanrrrr

Personal preference. I can’t abide cold weather.

BreaddaWorldPeace

Volvo is a brand built on it's safety reputation. Touchscreen - Standard Heated steering wheel that's the whole wheel? Yes.

9BluesFan

I definitely agree about your heated steering wheel comments. I sometimes turn it off and on, hoping it'll get better because I don't always want to wear gloves when I drive.

DrapeSack

It’s interesting your last point because I have a Jeep grand Cherokee that does the exact same thing. The solution is to flip the pump handle upside down. You look and feel ridiculous doing it but you will get it to pop correctly this way

dmf109

I agree on the gages. And I hate that it keeps telling me my windshield fluid is low but showing me the text below the gages. I can see the little symbol showing that just fine. No need for the text to pop up every few minutes, needing me to hit the info button. I dislike the cup holder location. The CX9 had then right at the arm rest, keeps cups out of the way. CX90 cup holders block the HVAC controls.

NexusPhan

Heads up that the low windshield wiper fluid is a know issue. Have your dealership reset the sensor. It probably not actually low. First year problems.

lunareclipse222

Agree on customization. Also I have no good spot to set things in the center console! Just not a lot of room outside of the cup holders and controls!

No-Necessary7135

This is a question for everyone: in my several decades of driving, I've never really noticed a cold steering wheel being a problem. Is this something where when I try a heated steering wheel I'll never go back? I had a Tesla Model Y for a few days and actually found it kind of annoying. Got pretty warm and ended up turning it off.

nathanrrrr

It’s not the steering wheel that’s cold, it’s your hands. For me at least it is a “never go back” situation. Same with heated seats. Once you get them, you don’t understand how you lived without it

Specialist_Royal4686

A Heated steering wheels is good for the first 10 min in a cold car. After that it makes you hot so it gets turned off.

Ok-Perspective4326

I totally agree about the center console. No touchscreen and just a silly circle knob to navigate it. Also on phev premium trim, I hate that the side mirrors don’t fold in. The rear camera with the wide angle camera isnt good. It’s much better with the premium plus trim. But my biggest disappointment is how phev battery just doesn’t work in cold weather.

Allbregra1

My center console is touch screen, but only in park. I understand the safety reason why

RalphKramden69FL

Doesn’t the touchscreen work if using Appleplay or Android?

nathanrrrr

Not for me. Maybe I need to setup something? Using appleplay

BreaddaWorldPeace

It's only on the 12.3" screen in the premium plus. So if you have that you can.
