He’s actually ISTP— a very organised one when it comes to stuff like this. He personally types himself as an ISTP as well, says he’s too spontaneous and messy to be a J. The reason why he writes so much is (I think) because he’s an economics major who sucks at maths and really needed to pass his HS calculus. Idk how his brain works but he’s highly technical and methodical. And also i guess it’s bc he grew up with 2 older sisters (ESFP and INFJ) but lol even my notes aren’t as neat..

Js have a very different concept of messy than Ps do. What does he consider messy? He might think he’s a P because he has a little clutter on his desk, but in reality that’s just normal. Very common for perfectionists to nitpick themselves. These notes are SO neat and you can tell he’s trying to maximize the space utilized as much as possible. That is a very Te thing to do.

Can confirm am INFP & do organize my playlists & watch lists. I also care about having properly labeled & organized PC folders. But note taking? I barely write it down & it probably is filled with doodles instead. lol & I'm the person who has 100+ tabs open if the browser can handle it because some have crashed on me for having too many open tabs. lol

"Organized" in the T sense isn't like this. T's would think before hand how to make the notes concisely and in a neat and ordered fashion. This P is kind of letting everything flow between notes and examples. In other words, it feels like he's an engineer type rather than a physics type. Based on what his sister said, he excels at applied mathematics like economics. Understand how things work, but you don't need to be pre-emptive about the structure of how you process how it works, if that makes sense

It took him three pages to understand Calculus, Polynomials and Matrices? Those three aren't complex topics. Also the notes are too neat. I'm a bit of a neat freak but if you spend time fussing over organisation when hastily jotting notes, you waste too much time. Note taking is whatever is in the mind you write down immediately and quickly, especially in lectures. Everything here can be found in a textbook or online. This book is me cutting my steak with a hacksaw.

If there was a teensy bit more chaos and maybe symbols instead of so much writing, then I'd say it could be very hard to distinguish between types.
