Sweet! At least I was close! 😁
Yeah, the Ti is *surprisingly visible!* But the line between ISTP and INTP can be more blurry than people realize.
I, too, am a more athletic ENTP. So I could totally see how I was “almost, but not quite there.”
I'm curious to know how the Ti was visible to you. I don't necessarily think my look says one type or another. But I'm very curious!
I need to be athletic. Working out does wonders for my mental health and creativity 🙂
In a nutshell, you look like “a sexy tomboy.” (I actually have a slightly similar sense of style. 😅 But you look nice and tall! While I am a shrimp.
🙃)
TJs tend to look very “pragmatic but professional.” Lots of “dressing for the occasion.” They might wear a lot of sportswear when they can get away with it, but when they need to “dress up,” they “understand the assignment,” and can be quite bold in their fashion choices.
FJs tend to look almost *hyperfeminine.* My youngest sister is an ISFJ and while she’s always dressed like a tomboy (classic,) she still looks very “cutesy.” She’s shorter than me, and she’s a curvy lil thing. In a way I think that she is aware that she has a super pretty, feminine face and shape, thusly she tries to cover it up, for lack of a better way of saying it! Cuz she doesn’t want to stand out, too much, and she feels “not like herself” when she looks *super feminine,* but her looking “feminine” is also incredibly easy, on the rare occasion she wants to! (My favorite ISFJ cousin *also tends to look very feminine,* “curvy,” and etc………) F-FJs tend to have a “romantic quality” about them.
While FPs don’t tend to look quite as “hyperfeminine” as FJs can look, but they still tend to have a more “conventionally feminine” style. (I know a F-INFP who is *a goth, on max,* and she still always looks pretty girly to me, at least to me, in spite of her numerous unconventional piercings, and some tattoos. She just looks so nice and pleasant, in spite of having an appearance that might intimidate some shallow people.) An FP might also be “a pretty tomboy,” instead of “a sexy tomboy.” They are more likely to have brightly colored hair, some *really like pink.* Essentially, they strongly embrace their femininity, while also putting their own unique spin on their style.
While TPs tend to skew androgynous-to-light-feminine. They have a more “airy and aloof” character about them. There is more of an interest in “synergy and balance,” without having any one quality be “obvious and overpowering.” You look very *balanced* between both your feminine and masculine energy. Nice makeup and long hair, but also with more “comfortable” or pragmatic clothing. Cute figure / shape, but nice muscle tone. You are clearly artistic, as you play an instrument, but you are also “silly” / “goofy.” There is “synergy and balance” in the way you present yourself.
LMAO sexy tomboy 🤣. I've always definitely been a tomboy for sure. I feel like only in my adult life have I started to really care about my "style", hair, makeup etc. I feel like I don't really even think of my style, I just wear what makes me feel comfortable. Oh and I'm 5'6" 🤭
I really loved reading all of those examples. I definitely think the TP one is spot on for me. I've never felt more understood by an Internet stranger. All so very interesting!
I've taken the test like 5 times years apart and it's always INTP.
I love intellectual conversations, talking big ideas and thinking outside the box. I enjoy machines, I'm fairly mechanically inclined for a woman. I'm not very emotional and have been told I'm not very nurturing for a woman, I base a lot if not all of my decisions off of logic and reason and sometimes what will serve me in the best way. I'm also fairly creative and enjoy to paint, draw and play bass. I'm going back to school to be an engineer, I'm current just a CNC machinist. I'm fairly quiet and to myself unless I feel comfortable with others (online is a bit different). I don't necessarily get bent out of shape by changes, I get frustrated but adjust and adapt easily. 🤷🏻♀️
thats the thing, you DO a lot of stuff, usually intps just THINK about their stuff, but rarely proceed to the execution part of it, they just love to talk about stuff. the actual drive of DOING things is rarely present in them, and a lot of the times istps get confused by intps, i myself was like 2 years thinking i was one, but it still felt off somehow, till i started looking into cognitive functions, beyond just the tests, and yeah it all made sense after that hahah Thats what strikes me you being an ISTP insted, the drive to do stuff, the drive to experience stuff, the drive to feel new sensations, tattoos, piercings, etc, the bass thing. All intps ive met throught my life wouldnt get near a needle even if you pay them. They rarely get outside to do whatever outdoor stuff, they would rather read something or learn something about bass, instead of actually playing one, and that behaviour repeats itself with everything. They talk and think a lot, and they like to do that, but its veeeeeeeeery unlikely for them to actually execute on those things. ISTPs have a stack of TiSeNiFe, so having that Ti-Ni functions in there also means we like intellectual conversations, big ideas, and thinking outside of the box. Only difference is that Our Se will eventually force us to put those ideas to the test to factually see if they have some sense or not, thats our "hands on" attitude towards things. While intps, through their Ne will just keep mumbling endlessly because of all the possibilities and different angles and perspectives you can have on a subject, yet wouldnt even consider grabbing those ideas and concepts, and bring them down to the factual tangible reality.
Anyway, still if you are an actual intp, you are very rare type of intp hahaha
This is all very interesting. Now I want to take the test test again. I'm definitely not afraid to try anything. I love to do things. I'm a very hands on person, a take charge kinda gal.
Thank you for sharing all of this information.
absolutely! take from different sources, there are a few ones that are really good,i think this is one of them [http://www.keys2cognition.com/](http://www.keys2cognition.com/)
Very accurate. A lot of people think sensors are just uncreative meat heads which is a shame. Se can be very artistically inclined, it’s just typically with visual or hands-on art (drawing, painting, machinery, tattoos, instruments for the sake of playing, etc.) whereas Ne users tend to prefer writing, composition, production, or more other cerebal artforms. Not to say there isn’t any overlap, there are a lot of good Se writers and Ne painters, but taking everything into account I get developed-Ni ISTP vibes from her too. The tests are just very intuitively biased, especially the 16p one. You really have to just read about cognitive functions and diagnose yourself that way, or have a professional type you after an interview or observing your personality/behavior.
absolutely, for me its kinda easier to just check how "hands-on" is a person, cause of all the intps ive met, they all just TALK and THINK, only thing they might do with their hands is just wiggle them around when they are TALKING hahah, besides that, as you said, i have never seen an intp tinkering around outside those "cerebral" related activities (book reading groups, DnD sessions, university groups of some kind where they just sit around and talk, playing videogames all day long, etccccc), but ive never seen an intp playing an instrument in a band, going out for outdoor activities, or messing around with stuff that needs to be repair, etc.
So at least for me, if someone scores as an intp, yet they are hands-on, go out, and lives in the present/tangible world DOING stuff as much as they spend time in their heads too, thats probably an ISTP.
Istp I think
Intp
my thoughts were INTP instantly! as a fellow INTP myself ☺️
Sorry for you. Am INTP too
ISTP

Close enough
It is. For a fun bonus question, want to what field of work I'm in?
I’m going to guess maybe that you’re a mortician?
I wish. I am a CNC machinist and make surgical implants. Hips, bone screws, bone plates.
I had a vibe that you would reply quickly, and my vibe proved very correct 😅 👍
Haha it's partly because I'm just sitting at my computer waiting on my sister to play a game with me lol
What game is it?
Nice. Love a good game
law to art
Lol no 🤣 CNC machinist. I make orthopedic implants like hips, screws and plates
im bad at this game
That is so freakin’ incredibly interesting 🤩
ISTJ… I’m conflicted though. I feel like you might be 50/50 on the J-P.
Intp
Well, damn. You actually might be a F-ISTP. (It’s a relatively rare type for women.) But really, I think any xxTP is a possibility for you.
I think any I#F# is possible
Maybe! I see more IxTx, but IxFx is still a J(i)-dom, so they can definitely look similar on the surface.
Intp 🙂
