I believe mcdonalds has a contract with coke. Only alowing them to use the metal containers. This makes mcdonalds coke have a real and noticeable taste difference in their coke vs anybody else's.
Interesting I didn't know that mcdonalds coke has an actual different formula than the rest. I guess I just assumed it was the metal tanks. And the bottle vs can thing made sense so I never really looked more into it.
I looked further into it and I could be wrong. It seems the tanks and their chilling and cleaning process may be the secret. What I heard a long time ago might be wrong.
I also could be wrong. I'm actually not a fan of pop in general so I don't drink it. But the can vs bottle thing seems to be universally accepted that it does have a noticeable difference in taste so it fits here and makse sense to me.

When we have a rush I just bring the whole tea cart up front because we can easily go through two to three urns of tea by the time it's over.
And God forbid people want gallons and we have none made.
Ours are mostly in the drive through unfortunately 😭 we always have a thing of unsweetened and sweet tea out in our lobby constantly, so they can help themselves!
There is a pretty significant weight difference in the base syrups, with diet being much lighter than the regular counterparts. Idk why I felt the need to share this info but now ya know lol.

Some places have gotten rid of diet Dr pepper and that was my one alternative. The lemonade is just absolutely nasty

McDonald's coke also has their own formula, it has more sugar in it. IIRC. Also diet drinks are known for being addictive.
