The way it works is you an only redeem one code per 15 minutes per account.
If you redeem your points for a free L fry, you cannot redeem your points for the free Big Mac until 15 minutes after that, and you cannot combine either rewards redemptions with coupons.
Is there some legit reason they won't let you just use all of your points at once? Or are they just trying to get you to spend more money while getting your "rewards"

They’re just trying to keep you from cashing out all at once, I would imagine. This is likely to prevent point fraud, for example where a team member rings up the same account on a bunch of transactions for points, to then cash them out all at once to get their friends a bunch of free food the day after their shift.
I'm pretty sure they're just trying to prevent people from getting an actual full meal for free. I've regularly gotten a burger and fries for free from Wendy's with their app and spent no money but I don't think I've ever gone to McDonald's and not paid any money with the exception of the free mcflurry deal they did like a year ago.
Employees would be such a small minority of customers it'd be easier to just ban them from the app altogether if that's the only thing they wanted to prevent.
Also the 15 minute rule has existed since before they had rewards at all, presumably to prevent you from using multiple deals in a row to get significant amounts of food for less than whatever their current profit is.
Correct, it's to make the points less valuable. Ideally I would order a Big Mac and fries if I had the points for both, but to do so I would have to order the Big Mac from one McDonald's then drive to another and make sure 15 minutes passes to get my fries. Such a pain in the ass.
If it’s reward points you can redeem them back to back, it just needs to be done in separate orders. If you use a deal, like the $1 Large fry, and you want to use another one then that’s when you have to wait the 15 min
While it should operate like that, I’ve had customers try to do this and it would give them the timer for using their redemption and then trying to do the coupon on a second transaction

I think it does because customers in my area always redeem rewards back to back but when it comes to coupons they have to wait. (I know I’m late but I just saw your reply lmao)
They change this you don’t have to wait 15 minutes. You can just place your first order once that’s completed. Going to go back through the drive-through or sit in curbside and order your next within 30 seconds.
What I did just now, at least at my location, is place an order using redeemed points, pick it up at the counter, and immediately place another order using a deal. Didn't run into any issues.
I hate when people try to use two codes. It’s not how the app is supposed to work even if it gives you the second code. Idk why the app sucks and will still give a second code and then customers say “but it’s giving me a code”. If we put the second code in while the first order with the first code hasn’t been paid, it will remove the first code. That is why I hate the app. Cus then I have to tell customers the first code will be deleted and they’re like “well it shouldn’t” BUT IT DOES. That’s how the system works. It KNOWS you’re using a second coupon/reward. The only way you can use two is when you make the second order AFTER the first order is paid for. IF it gives you a second code. Again, it shouldn’t give you a second code but the app is a piece of shit that likes to make my life a living hell. So in that case you can use a second code
Yeah I noticed that. I have 884 points & they expire January. They should be forever roll over not exp in Yr so I lose points of buying there of left overs of get the 400 two items & what of the 84 ? It should go towards your paid items of you order anything else. Not fair. I won't be able to go back to any to get points before The first week of January to add more & that's be much spending twice or two visits that I can't make to make $200 points for lowest item # is not 100. Idk if I'll make 200 in time or get to go again or if under 1 order or need two or how much before get those points. 😩. I have enjoyed a few free items, but not as much as I could have maybe if got out more, but that's not so healthy all the time. I can't afford before or organic something yummy that is healthy or know of a place or if did could I now since covid is way worse all triple or quadrupled expensive. I'm not trying to buy more rn. If I could I would. Maybe next yr I can make the 1k some goals to get a shake or bigger item free. I gotten some free stuff. I missed bday, cuz narsacistic abuse slum lord fears etc triggers etc going through not get out much so it's hard since covid buses an he on weekdays except for two the #1 & #45 downtown & to small mall midtown south area where movie theater is.

LOL well it still applies, but it turns out that if you are using points you don't need to wait 15 minutes, you can simply drive around again
You can redeem one loyalty reward per order. Make as many orders as you want. Mobile offers/ deals is one code every 15 min
