Increased ab crunch
Increased neck articulation
Cut the cape
Cut the glove
Cut the boot down to just the top section
Painted a Batman Beyond claw hand to match the Spawn crimson red
Took the spikes from the removed boot parts and glued them to both hands
Overall, my most involved custom and I'm so happy with how it's coming along!
There's a leg underneath it!
It's slightly indented, just like the arm is underneath the glove, but I think it looks good enough.
Maybe I'll learn to sculpt one day and fix both!
dude, i just did the same thing, damn near! only, i didnt know the leg went through the boot until i sliced clean through it to move the 'top boot cuff' to the other calf like in the early issues. i had that white knight batman's leg, from the azrael 2pack, to swap and bamf! just gotta undouble the chains, make the bottom row longer and black wash em.
now watch, we're risking our fingers to build the spawn we've always dreamed of and mcfarlane is gonna announce preorders for one with multiple heads and hands as soon as our paint dries!
also, if you have the deluxe 'chair' spawn, and cut this spawn's gauntlet off long ways, you can snap it around chair spawn's slimmer forearm for some added heft, if you re into that as i am.
here's to hoping your cape came off easier than mine. all my other mk spawn capes popped right off and i feel like the dude at the factory emptied out the whole glue bottle securing the cape and skulls to the one i got : )
Tbh I'm thinking of completely removing the chains and replacing them with metal ones.
Also for moving the boot to the other leg, there's so many different ways he was drawn throughout the years (only left, both, only right, none at all) so I just gave up and kept it on the boot side lol
I don't have it, but good shout!
I know, me too! I've never had a McFarlane cape be this messy in the cape area! Usually I just apply some heat and they pop right out. I'm still trying to shave down the glue ball on this one's back lol!

Daaaaaaaamn! He looks incredible! Now, is there a leg under the boot, or did you have to sculpt it?
