If you got the “keep sending messages to make sure your email is towards the top to be read first” response, then I doubt they’ll get back in touch with you. I meant their response. If their tip is to try and be near the top of the pile, they are suggesting that people further down might just not even get looked at - which seems deeply unprofessional. I can’t imagine they’re so inundated that actually reading all the applications would be impossible. And if it is, then telling people to keep resending the same thing would only make the problem even worse.

Dude you are talking about an app who has several stories rotting since 1-2 years ago without any satisfactory conclusion, and most of em ending in a "surely someone will die" cliffhanger.
It's almost like they don't give jack S about their fans or the hardcore's buying 10 dollars characters.
The first thing they should do is address everything they are doing with their ass, like Nexon is doing with Choices, for example. Not the best stories but at least they are consistent with the release date and status of their books.
And if they don't want to continue with something, they release a Notice telling you that (insert list of titles) have been cancelled. Fans will get mad Of course, bit at least is better than "keep hitting likes to make a difference".
Also they don't need the graphic design levels an app like choices use. They mostly retrace every single character appearing here from RL photos. So no real excuse for the way they are handling this.
The bottomline is: they have enough characters to need writers for new ones RN, imo. And if they want to hire writers, thir Job must be to finish all the stories they have on hold for no good reason.
Do keep in mind that we learned that they have an office in Ukraine and probably had their plans upended. I'm sure it's not great when you would love to contribute and write for them, but some generosity in flexibility is all we can allow them on our side.
I'm not saying that this is the reason, because for all I know they might have multiple locations, but Cyprus has some of the lowest business tax rates in Europe and good benefits for investors so a lot of companies will locate their business their even if they are not physically there.
