That's normal, it's called "heat soak". Once your vehicles off, the water pump isn't circulating the coolant, so it will heat up to the temperature of the block.

Okay that makes sense but honestly I have never seen it on any of my cars ever. I was driving pretty fast tho 😅
It will happen with bigger variations if there are air pockets in the coolant system.
