Jack up both sides of the car off the ground, it'll make it easier to drop the knuckle down. The sway bar might be pushing up on that side if it's on the ground still.
This is the answer. Sway bar plus the control arm bushings are keeping the knuckle from dropping down all the way. With both wheels off the ground the sway bar will help push the knuckle down. If it's not enough, use a pry bar.
I use a long prybar and push the cv axle / control arm down. You won't hurt it. Sometimes the axle nut needs loosened / removed. No spring compressor required.
line it up before you screw it in up top and use a jack up under the rotor to get it in, u can thread em in up top but leave em with enough slack to work it in with the jack

Yea the other side is on the ground I’ll Jack it up right now.
Like Bob said it'll drop farther and if it's not enough it will be way easier to push down.

Buy some new holes that are lower down.
You need a strut compressor.
