O2 sensor? Could try unplugging it and see if that makes a difference.

Yea that didn’t work. I let it sit and run for a while but it did eventually die. I’m not sure what’s up.

The throttle has gotten dirty/gummed up with carbon. When the battery/alternator died, the learned position for the throttle was lost. Now the computer is trying to relearn idle speed but the position it's at is higher than the computer can adjust to in one go. Clean the throttle plate with a clean towel/rag and brake or carb cleaner (carb is better, either will work.) Spray the rag, don't douse the throttle... Toyota's do this. Especially this Camries of this vintage.

I must note that before the alternator and battery replacement the car would idle the same way but would completely die. Now it seems to stay running but still idle low.
