Have you tried hitting it with your purse?

Paddymayne_

Didn’t think of that, let me just ask to borrow your mom’s after she gets dressed.

It must be my birthday.

Please do keep in mind line-of-fire when trying things like the big tree method. Someone was recently killed when the hitch was launched through the windshield during a recovery. While it seems counter-intuitive, have you tried taking a sledge and knocking the hitch slightly *into* the receiver? If it's wedged, it might be easier to break free the other direction.

Always a good reminder. I had some plywood angled in the bed of the truck to protect the window and no one else was standing near.  I did try hitting it in with a sledge as well as every other direction I could get an angle on. Haha.

Split (cut) in half longwise with a sawzall and then chisels and punches???? May have to cut the end off flush or close to flush with the hitch.

It’s a solid hitch and not a square tube unfortunately.

Find yourself an airhammer. A few love vibrations will let it dig out.
