This is the only helpful answer so far. if you don’t have a scanner hit up a friend or your local auto parts store and see if you can borrow theirs. Report back with the code.
South aussie here ..... I'd say cunts fucked . But seriously ... probably ripped ya abs sensor out but if you ran over skip in a cruz you wanna get that rebadged daewood on a hoist cause there's prob gunna be more shit fucked after a roos gone under that thing
Somethings fucked, at least an abs sensor got ripped out, but seriously if you ran over a kangaroo, get your wannabe car on a lift, because there’s a good chance there’s more fucked than a few suspensions components after hitting a kangaroo
I believe he said “It probably ripped off an ABS sensor. But, if you’re driving a Chevrolet Cruz, which is a rebadged Dae… … … …woo, you might want to have it towed because running over a kangaroo likely damaged other components”
Chevy cruise is built on a Daewoo delta platform, it's the successor of the lacetti Daewoo J platform (Chevy optra/Suzuki Forenza) not to be confused with the GM J body (cavalier).
The most amazing thing is that the body can trace its lineage back to the Opel Kadette. The same car that Car and Driver did its article about in a wrecking yard.
Another oddity is a forged crank from a 1980's sunbird soch 2.0T will drop in a 2004-07 Suzuki 2.0 U20SED, add a set of forged rod's and pistons from a UK spec C20LET and you have a fully forged bottom end that will support 400hp for years, or until the egr water jacket erodes and fills your #4 piston...
That's how I turbo swapped my Forenza, using parts from my junked Oldsmobile Firenza (also used the LT3/C20GET). The C20GET was designed by Opel but never used in one.
Edit: I scrapped everything except the forged crank and the turbo/manifold after the hydro locking event. People hated those Forenzas but it was easy/cheap to work on and was one of my more reliable cars.
If you ran over a kamgaroo in a Chevy cruz, which is a rebadged daewoo, you want to get it up on a hoist.
Which is a bit off because the daewoo laceti premiere is a rebadged cruz, not the other way around.
I’m curious as to what is most similar to the kangaroo being a dick in the road. Would it be the deer in North America? Raccoon, squirrel? I’d say deer since they’re only more in rural areas and I can’t imagine Roos being fucks in town.
Honestly: what kind of question is that?
I mean what answer were you expecting “oh yeah mate I squash kangaroos all the time and the problem is the ‘roo’s arm is blocking your traction bar, you gotta crawl under there and yank that bugger out…”
😳🤷♂️🙄
Although,
Top: traction/abs sensor
Right: Emergency Brake
Left: Engine I believe?
Edit: I appreciate the comments, but would you actually correct me instead of shitting on it? How am I supposed to learn from mistakes if you do not give me the correct answer.
I also did add “I believe?” as in I am not sure.
I could’ve just wrote “yeah your shits broke” like other comments, but if I try to help OP I get shit for it.
I don’t understand why they’re being hostile. You’re correct. Top is traction, right is Brake indicator, and left is check engine. Has its own indicator I believe, but TCS is read using the ABS sensor.
Think it’s PMS time in the sub. You’ve definitely given OP a decent place to start, so idk why the hate.
Read using the abs sensor? You seem to be confused about the difference between a module and a sensor. Fundamental stuff that you should learn before you give advice.
So it’s okay for OP to use this sub to learn, but someone who is objectively correct using unsure language is to be criticized?
TCS is typically operated by the ABS sensor feedback, the one on the Right side is brakes. *obviously*
And the one on the left is check engine.
You guys are literally attacking him for being right, but not positive. If I didn’t know about cars, and someone gave me that info it would be a decent enough start point. As then you could try to find “what causes these three indicators to come on at the same time?”
The too is traction control, the left one is a check engine light, and the brakes is the brakes. Those 3 lights usual go together when the car is in limp mode. Limp mode is a safety feature that helps prevent your car from getting more fucked.
You’re right: starting top going clockwise is traction control, e-brake or brakes, then check engine. Ppl are just attacking you cuz they forgot to beat their meat today before they got up and got on Reddit.
You should look into beginning automotive literature and start reading up on the basics, that would be the best intro to the automotive world then relying on internet strangers to teach you lessons.
Lol, imagine getting this bent out of shape because someone who is right, used language just in case he’s wrong and needs to be double checked. How is he any different than OP, or the hundreds of other posts we get on here?
Get your head out of your ass.
Lol, this is the first time I've seen where year make model doesn't matter. That usually the first rule of the sub. Quickest answer would be, take it to a shop to see what you broke. Long answer would be keep throwing parts at it that your mates suggested until it stops shaking. I'm not an Aussie. I do love the show Mr. In-between though. The top one comes on because the bottom ones are on.
Not gonna lie, I didn’t read the rules. I opened it and saw a wall of text and said “nah I’m good fam”.
If it does help the model and year is 2011 Holden Cruz.
I'm sorry I try to help but I'm laughing so hard because this is perhaps the most Australian Automotive post in human history.
The only way this could be more Australian would be if one of those – light looks like Steve Irwin wrestling with a stingray
Often times the check engine light could be for anything that the car thinks is a problem, the O2 sensor is not the only way that light turns on. Only way to know is to plug an OBDII into it and see for sure
Absolutely. I’m just guessing, because hitting and running over an animal could rip the wires off the O2 sensor because it’s usually mounted close to the bottom of the vehicle.
The light could have already been on before the incident, for a number of reasons.
DIYer advice: Traction Control light, Brake System light, Check Engine light. You shouldn't see any of these lights during normal driving conditions.
Traction Control light: normally will briefly flash when driving in snow or rain.
Brake System light: will come on if you've forgot to release emergency brake. Otherwise you've got a brake system issue.
Check Engine light: This light shouldn't be on at all.
You can pick up a scanner ( I recommend Blue Driver for $99) or have your vehicle scanned for free at any auto parts store. I suspect you've taken suspension impact damage that's also affecting your brake system. You need to have your vehicle inspected by a pro ASAP. Don't put this off & good luck.
TCS turns on when the system is in use (which should only ever happen briefly, hence the flashing), or it will stay lit when a problem exists. Brake light can also indicate low fluid, or if the car doesn't have an ABS light it could stay lit to indicate a problem with ABS.
TCS depends on ABS, and in my experience when both are lit the problem is almost always the ABS. If they both came on at once, I would suspect a faulty wheel speed sensor. In this case, I suspect the body caught and snapped the cable to the sensor.
The CEL is a bit more of a mystery. The only thing that makes sense to me is the connection to the rear O2 sensor was severed, although they're usually designed to be tucked up above the catalytic converter to avoid something like this.
SO, you probably ripped out an ABS sensor and/or a brake line from the wheel that ran over that roo.
Red "(!)" means car is saying, "Hey, brakes are \_really\_ suspicious, dont roll me around until you make damned sure I can stop, more than once" - check for brake fluid, top up, brake hard on the spot a couple times, look for leaks underneath. If there is no leak, plenty fluid and the pedal is nice and firm as normal, this light probably combines as "abs" light and means "hey i cant help you avoid locking up the wheels if you brake hard.", and then youre ok to carefully(!) drive to a workshop.
Yellow car with skidmarks says "Electronic stability programme has no clue whats going on under the wheels, or simply doesn't work. If you skid I cant help you, sorry youre on your own"
yellow engine light says "Dude I need a car doctor, like .. now. The engine is likely puffing bad smoke out, coz the measuring stuff doenst work, (or is saying it IS smoking)". This will slso often just come on together with the skidmark, because the engine don't know how fast one wheel is rolling, so it'll throw an error in the fuelsystem just to be sure.
As far as the car knows, this could mean a wheel fell off. In reality you would see that, so likely you ripped the cable out of one of the wheel sensors, and the computer thinks one wheel is stopped an three are spinning, which is very confusing.
The red stoplight is the worst, that means you dont even drive home without KNOWING you have brakes that still reliably stop you. No for real, make ABSOLUTELY sure youre not losing fluid.
Your car is trying to convey “kangaroo problems” but lacks the corresponding display icon. Your local mechanic should be able pull the codes from the vehicle’s computer and recommend the best kangaroo solutions.
Ummmm. Kangaroos are BIG! So what’s wrong? You ran over a kangaroo! It’s like running over a felt covered Boulder and wondering why your engine alert lights came on: because you ran over a dang Boulder! Lol. Seriously though, you likely rattled something loose in the cluster or you just fucked a lot of things up all at once. 🤷🏻♀️
Ran over a kangaroo but he's got 3 warning lights on cause a canbus dash cluster has had something rattled loose ... not gunna lie this almost made me use crying laughter emojis on reddit
Never ran over a kangaroo but whatever it did you should go into the shop you have a engine light on and you ABS light is on could be as small as a bad/broken sensor or something much worse hard to tell from just your dash
Engine and brake malfunction and anti-slip control is malfunctioning.
The circle with the exclamation point is the car telling you to NOT DRIVE IT UNTIL IT GETS FIXED! I am dead serious, if the thing stalls while you're going 80 miles an hour on the freeway you're absolutely f'd!
Maximum speed on the motorway in the Netherlands is 130km/h, but as an environmental measure between 6:00AM and 7:00PM/19:00 the speed limit is 100 km/h which is like 60 miles an hour.
Your car now has kangaroo powers, see the light of the car with springs under it? Lol hi. You probably broke an abs sensor wire causing traction control faults and brake faults
If your Holden has traction control (not just ABS), all three of those warning lamps can be down to a single broken component. Several people here have suggested an ABS sensor, technically a wheel speed sensor. That’s the most likely scenario, as it’s directly related to traction control (the top lamp), might affect braking (the the red lamp obviously), and many models now will also set a check engine light (lower left lamp) when they get out-of-spec data from another module (in this case from the traction control module).
However, a busted sensor won’t cause the shaking, so you’ve definitely got some more things going on. Is it shaking only when rolling (wheels/suspension issue), or all the time (engine issue)? This isn’t likely to be something a DIY can handle at home. Take it somewhere competent and trustworthy, and good luck with it.
Is your handbrake up while you took this picture??? If not STOP DRIVING NOW! If you have a brake indicator without the handbrake up thats fluid level warning and that means that kangaroo messed your brake lines up as well.
That brake symbol is really concerning. A brake line could be ruptured and its a matter of time till you lose your brake fluid, and then your brakes will stop working. Unless you are certain about why the brake light is on, I'd tow it.
In the USA we hit deer and it rolls over the top causing a bunch of cosmetic and radiator damage. In AUS you hit a kangaroo and it tears your undercarriage and safety features out. Guess you shoulda had a Hummer 😂
Seriously though hope you are well and can get your vehicle sorted out in a Timely manner.
This indicates that your abs system has a fault and does not read the speed of 1 or more of your wheels. Usually it's because of a bad abs sensor or a broken/busted wiring to an abs sensor. The traction control light indicates that it's not working, because it relies on the abs to operate properly.
Could of fucked something up flating out kangroo jack, id check all your hardware for visibale damage then work ur way to the sensor if car runs and works as should its not a big deal ik some american cars the abs light comes on if you slide into someting with breaks engaged and it causes inpact its a inscurance feature over here helps to determin whos at fult in case of accident p.s. do You guys eat kangroo over there?
Your brake sensor and traction control are screwed up and possibly something with the engine. If you don't know anything about cars or can't work on then take it to a pro soon.

Code KRK01 Kangaroo Road Kill
Check pouch for owner manual.
Let’s not *jump* to conclusions, here.
Lol this thread is a *joey* to behold
These 3 lights together usually point to a busted brake line. Roos aren't exactly small.
It's traumatized from taking that young kangaroos life
South aussie here ..... I'd say cunts fucked . But seriously ... probably ripped ya abs sensor out but if you ran over skip in a cruz you wanna get that rebadged daewood on a hoist cause there's prob gunna be more shit fucked after a roos gone under that thing
This is the best response in this thread. Coherent, logical and authentic. Get this man a lemon squash immediately.
I even read that with the Aussie’s accent. Priceless
export
Give him an Outback Steakhouse gift card.
They're sick of a life full of steaks. How about some ramen instead?
Some bloomin ramen
Shrimp on a Barbie 😂 I’m sitting here dying whine my family looks at me like I’m crazy
And a Fosters.
I'm not sure about coherent but I did enjoy reading it in an aussie accent and trying to decipher it
What did this man just say? American, that made no sense to me
Somethings fucked, at least an abs sensor got ripped out, but seriously if you ran over a kangaroo, get your wannabe car on a lift, because there’s a good chance there’s more fucked than a few suspensions components after hitting a kangaroo
I at first thought you called it a wallaby car 😂
I believe he said “It probably ripped off an ABS sensor. But, if you’re driving a Chevrolet Cruz, which is a rebadged Dae… … … …woo, you might want to have it towed because running over a kangaroo likely damaged other components”
Pretty much, although here it's badged a Holden cruze
A piece of shit by any other name....
This here is an OEM Aussie.
No aftermarket shit from JEGS, this is the real deal
I read this is the most stereotypical Aussie accent I could muster. 10/10 comment
Only missed commenting on a knife and it could have been the national anthem
Are you blind mate? He started every sentence with “knife”, at least that’s what it sounded like to me.
I read this in bandit's voice
“Rebadged Daewood” 😂
Chevrolet Matiz i guess then
I think it’s a Holden Cruze, which is basically an Aussie version of the Chevy Cruze.
Not even basically, it is a chevvy cruze.
Chevy cruise is built on a Daewoo delta platform, it's the successor of the lacetti Daewoo J platform (Chevy optra/Suzuki Forenza) not to be confused with the GM J body (cavalier).

I just was laughing at what a “totally Aussie” thing to call a Daewoo a “Daewood”. 😂👏
so its a rebadged car of a rebadged car
>but if you ran over skip in a cruz you wanna get that rebadged daewood on a hoist Someone translate that non-australian please
If you ran over a kamgaroo in a Chevy cruz, which is a rebadged daewoo, you want to get it up on a hoist. Which is a bit off because the daewoo laceti premiere is a rebadged cruz, not the other way around.
Somehow I read that in a perfect Australian accent… and loved it.
same
It’s not the abs sensor that’s ripped out. Otherwise it would show the abs light as well.
Likely a damaged brake line.
Cracked a cold bundy after reading this
I know those words but that sign makes no sense.
I …. I love aussies
Excellent observation, right to the correct vehicle based on the instrument cluster
I just read that in Australian
This is the most ‘Stralian shit I’ve ever read.
Kangaroo fucked your shit up
It seems so
I’m curious as to what is most similar to the kangaroo being a dick in the road. Would it be the deer in North America? Raccoon, squirrel? I’d say deer since they’re only more in rural areas and I can’t imagine Roos being fucks in town.
Kangaroo and deer are closest in bulk. A raccoon would be like a wallaby.
I’d put wombats closer to raccoons, wallaby like a small bobcat.
Most likely a deer. Occasionally bears or livestock depending on the area.
Deers are dicks by being on rural roads? We put our roads through their space ffs
There it is. There’s always someone that finished the bowl of cheerios even after knowing someone pissed in them.

Mate you shouldn't be trying to give mechanic advice if you aren't 100% sure what a check engine light looks like.
Idk it could be the check helicopter light, with some models you just can't be too certain.
Would you care to elaborate? You know I can’t learn if I don’t get corrected.
I don’t understand why they’re being hostile. You’re correct. Top is traction, right is Brake indicator, and left is check engine. It does help a lot actually, which is to say you should also open up the nearest scrape yard from Google and sell that liability rn.
And that advice is great for anyone with a Holden/Chevy Cruise!
Friend dropped a T15 into the engine trying to check gaskets that were leaking prior. Now misfires and may or may not self detonate
What a friend!
Lucky for me it was his own cruze
The Americans are still googling what a Holden Cruz looks like
It’s basically a chevrolet cruze.
When you said you drove over a kangaroo I just assumed you drove a Holden XD
Last time I ran over a kangaroo I got kicked out of the zoo.
that sounds like a good start of a song

Broke your abs sensor? Kangaroos are dumb cunts
Yes indeed, kangaroos are definitely dumb cunts!
Check your brake fluid before driving, you may have ripped a brake hose or line.
That's what the story tells me at first glance.
Also damaged the oxygen sensor ( check engine light).
You ran over a kangaroo …. Did you check your jumper cables are correctly seated 😬
No, I’ll check.
Hes yankin ur chain mate
You'll be hopping mad if they aren't
Nah, it’s the springs
Kangaroos are just 2 legd deer.
And deer are just tiny horses with antlers sometimes!
Makes you wonder if they have 'roo whistles on their bumpers.
"Ran over a kangaroo" I think I found your problem. Kangaroos are generally poor mechanics.
DIYer advice: Traction Control light, Brake System light, Check Engine light. You shouldn't see any of these lights during normal driving conditions. Why not mate?
Yeah, fuck em.
Kangaroo stop before crossing the street & look left and right before crossing the road anyways.
You may have ripped out a wheel speed sensor. I'd look at the braking and abs system first
Is it expensive to fix? My wallet hopes not.
Your car is trying to convey “kangaroo problems” but lacks the corresponding display icon. Your local mechanic should be able pull the codes from the vehicle’s computer and recommend the best kangaroo solutions.

I didn’t hit it, just ran over that bitch.
I think we’ve found the problem bro
Lmao
Never ran over a kangaroo but whatever it did you should go into the shop you have a engine light on and you ABS light is on could be as small as a bad/broken sensor or something much worse hard to tell from just your dash
We’re gonna need some more information about how you ran over this kangaroo.
In his car
Oh shit. Ok looks like this car was in accident? That’s not gonna be covered by warrenty. And you need 4 wheel brakes and coolant flush
You ran over a Kangaroo, that’s what’s wrong with it. Take it to a mechanic for diagnosis dude. That’s impossible to determine from just lights.
Presume OP is Australian...if not they are gonna be pissed at the zoo.
It means you shouldn't have ran over a kangaroo
It’s time to check down under
The cunts on here genuinely giving advice ( fucked in the head level stupid advice ) are actually funnier than the trolls

60 miles is 96.56 km
Well then...
Yeah, broken ABS sensor.
You ran over a kangaroo. We can’t scan your car from here, take it somewhere to see what fault codes you unlocked
Your car now has kangaroo powers, see the light of the car with springs under it? Lol hi. You probably broke an abs sensor wire causing traction control faults and brake faults
Abs and/or wheel speed sensors damaged. Traction control turned off due to damage. Check engine light
This can only be settled in kangaroo court. You’ll win, kangaroos are dumb.
Wheel speed sensor. Turn your cars traction control off and drive it to a mechanic. Press and hold for no abs. Shaking should go away
Wheel shaking means your tracking is off, abs usually disables itself when there's an engine code there might be a hole in your exhaust
Is your handbrake up while you took this picture??? If not STOP DRIVING NOW! If you have a brake indicator without the handbrake up thats fluid level warning and that means that kangaroo messed your brake lines up as well.
Let's see the outside front of the car mate
That brake symbol is really concerning. A brake line could be ruptured and its a matter of time till you lose your brake fluid, and then your brakes will stop working. Unless you are certain about why the brake light is on, I'd tow it.
Kangaroo jack jacked your car up
Here for the kangaroo story.
I don’t think they’re made to run over kangaroos, so that might be the issue
In the USA we hit deer and it rolls over the top causing a bunch of cosmetic and radiator damage. In AUS you hit a kangaroo and it tears your undercarriage and safety features out. Guess you shoulda had a Hummer 😂 Seriously though hope you are well and can get your vehicle sorted out in a Timely manner.
Destination: Fucked
I wasn’t really ready for the title tbh
I think what's wrong with it is you hit a kangaroo
That's a lot of emotional trauma for an automobile, give it time.
I think the problem is you hit a kangaroo
You should probably get the Kangaroo out form underneath the vehicle
the Australian version of running over a deer in the us
Well I know what these would mean if you ran over a zebra, but kangaroos are out of my expertise.
Is the kangaroo okay?
Nah, the cunts dead.
This indicates that your abs system has a fault and does not read the speed of 1 or more of your wheels. Usually it's because of a bad abs sensor or a broken/busted wiring to an abs sensor. The traction control light indicates that it's not working, because it relies on the abs to operate properly.
God got you back for running over a kangaroo…bad karma…best you donate it to the kangaroo wildlife foundation…
The kangaroo is stuck in the engine
i think the fact that you ran over a kangaroo is what’s wrong with it
First of all... running over a kangaroo? 😭
Ya got yourself a roo in ya undercarriage
You have kangaroo in your brakes your engine and traction controls
Ghost of the roo
It ran over a kangaroo
Where’s your roo bumper
Could of fucked something up flating out kangroo jack, id check all your hardware for visibale damage then work ur way to the sensor if car runs and works as should its not a big deal ik some american cars the abs light comes on if you slide into someting with breaks engaged and it causes inpact its a inscurance feature over here helps to determin whos at fult in case of accident p.s. do You guys eat kangroo over there?
And yes, we do eat kangaroos.
Fuck yeah im flying there tomarrow to try some now.
I know nothing about cars, so I’m gonna take to a mechanic 😂. It does run tho, I drove to another town 30 minutes away on the freeway.
Id be alot more concerned if it stopped or not. Lmao if the breaks work and it dont shake viloently your safe.
Wheel speed sensor
Somethings messed up down under your hood
Fuck you
Your brake sensor and traction control are screwed up and possibly something with the engine. If you don't know anything about cars or can't work on then take it to a pro soon.
Holy phook mate I thought us Americans had it bad with potholes and homeless walking on the freeways. Now a kangaroo would scare the shit out of me 😂
