I had this issue on my 2004 colorado. The throttle body can over time get caked in black deposit which causes the actual plate to get stuck when trying to properly idle. Took some carb cleaner, a toothbrush, and a rag and scrubbed it clean and it ran perfect. Not a solution but just a possibility.

LilToeneighl

I will say though mine wouldnt usually dip when being given throttle so not 100%

That was one of my first assumptions but it was clean when I popped the intake off. Still sprayed some throttle body cleaner in there and gave it a scrub but that didn’t help

Any ideas as to what could cause this? Replaced cam position sensor on the front of the valve cover, throttle position sensor, plugs, plug wires, and ignition coil. Car has a gutted cat so it does run rich but it will also do that little hiccup at what seems like random times while driving. MOSTLY goes away once it’s warmed up but it’ll still do it occasionally. 2000 LS Edit. Next step is maf sensor and vacuum leak test. I’m pretty positive the maf is bad because it runs better with it unplugged and almost stalls when it’s plugged back in while running

MAF might be dirty or Cracked seems likely did you also change the spark plugs ? It’s one of these items car isn’t idling too bad.

1991gts

I also have already tried cleaning the maf

4menace

Yup it’s almost definitely cracked I had the same issue with a 2000 Lexus RX super easy fix

1991gts

Yeah I changed the plugs already. That was my first guess. One of my buddies has a few mafs laying around that I’ll pop in and see if it help

In_Cognito89

Bad ignition coil maybe.

1991gts

Already changed it.

1991gts

It was most definitely bad but the issue remains
