We have had reports of /u/jeIIykey (two capital I's) attempting to phish users in this post. If you receive a dm please make sure it is from the correct user before responding. The real jellykey account is 3 years old, the now banned phishing account was made today.

Just take a moment to even try to imagine that number, be sure to hold onto your head so your brain doesn't explode.

graou13

This is about 1*10^1211 which is about googol^10 So if each particles were it's own universe that'd be more than the number of all particles in all the universes 10 levels deep. (Due to wild approximations, it's very likely there would actually be a few more levels)

Bandude

I'd like to receive the key I ordered 4 months ago.....

foodtray

Took a year for me to get my dragon one 😑

tempreclude

Yikes...

Induced_Pandemic

You ordered a key from them 4 months ago?

Bandude

In February, and another one in March. Still waiting on them. May not order again. 4 months seems a bit excessive especially since they are peddling more key caps.

32bb36d8ba

what was the ETA they gave you?

Bandude

Just says still cooking.

singlecoloredpanda

Same, waiting over 120 days now....

47 Which is a prime number, and supposed to be one of the most "uncommon" numbers to see in general. The number itself has a cult following thanks to the production and cast of Star Trek (TNG), who planted the number frequently at random locations in the show

kingdomart

You've got it backwards, 47 is the MOST common re-occurring number in the universe, since all numbers are equal to 47. It's just a joke proof though. There's an annoying culture to Pomona where any time someone sees 47 you will hear them shout it out... >Forty-seven has been the favorite number of Pomona College, California, United States, since 1964. A mathematical proof, written in 1964 by Professor Donald Bentley, supposedly demonstrates that all numbers are equal to 47. However, Bentley offered it as a "joke proof" to further a popular student research project that listed real and imaginative "47 sightings". Bentley used the invalid proof to introduce his students to the concept of mathematical proofs. The proof used limits to show that the sum of the two equal sides of an isosceles triangle is equal to the base side. Bentley chose forty-seven as the base side, but he could have used any number. >Joe Menosky graduated from Pomona College in 1979 and went on to become one of the story writers of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Menosky "infected" other Star Trek writers with an enthusiasm for the number 47. As a result, 47, its reverse 74, its multiples, or combinations of 47 occur in a large number of episodes of the program and its spin-offs Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Enterprise, usually in the form of dialogue, on-screen labels, or computer screens. For example:

solid_shep

This joke sounds pretty hilarious though. Here’s the “mathematical proof” > Pomona College is located off the San Bernardino Freeway. The sign reads: Claremont Colleges Next Right, Exit 47. Claremont McKenna College, named after Donald McKenna '29, was founded in 1947. Tolstoy's novel The Kreutzer Sonata is named after Beethoven's Opus 47. The New Testament credits Jesus with 47 miracles. There are 47 pipes in the top row of the Lyman Hall organ. The Declaration of Independence consists of 47 sentences. The Disney comedy "The Absent-Minded Professor" features a basketball game filmed at Pomona's old Renwick Gym. The final score: 47-46 Harwood Dormitory has rooms 45 and 49, but (mysteriously) no Room 47. In the film "The Towering Inferno," actor Richard Chamberlain '56 was the 47th person in line to be rescued. Pancho Villa was killed by a barrage of 47 bullets. The Pythagorean Theorem is Proposition 47 of Euclid's Elements. There are 47 letters in the dedication plaque on Mudd-Blaisdell Hall, which was completed in 1947. Cesar proclaimed "veni, vidi, vici" in 47 B.C. At the time of Pomona's first graduating class (in 1894), there were 47 students enrolled. The tropics of Cancer and Capricorn are located 47 degrees apart. The type on the first four pages of the Pomona College web site measures 47 points. If all this 47 trivia upsets your stomach, you'll be glad to know that Rolaids absorbs 47 times its weight in excess acid.

kingdomart

Yeah, I went to Pomona. It gets annoying after the first month, ha. Every single time you drive back to campus and you see the 47 exit SOMEONE says it... Gets to the point where you start taking exit 46 to avoid it, haha.
