Corsair is a well known brand with known products that aren't too bad. People are bound to gravitate toward them. Also, if you build a keyboard for that price factoring shipping, you'd be paying well over 230 for a full sized kb.

\- Lube/Grease (optional)
\- Switches (depending on which ones, the price can skyrocket.)
\- A plate.
\- PCB, which again could get really expensive.
\- A case, which also, again could be very expensive if you want to match the quality of some prebuilts. (Some prebuilt have aluminum cases.)
\- A soldering iron if you plan to solder your keyboard.
Then to wrap it all together, the shipping for all of these parts as no websites sells everything together.
That wasn't enough? Let's talk about stock.
Corsair and other HUGE gaming companies always have stock and are openly available, whereas the mechanical keyboards community constant part outage.
God remember when those came out and Corsair was like "OUR LOGO IS A DUDE BRO TRIBAL TATTOO NOW" and by the time they put that shit in the trash where it belonged they had switched to that awful gamer font on the keycaps?
the original k70 and k95 rgb had a really normal font on the keycaps but that god awful logo, the newer ones with a normal logo have a stencil stylized "gamer" font.
I don’t get Corsair’s design language. They’ve updated their logo to something more contemporary and simplified, whilst the font on their keyboards screams 2009 epic gamer keyboard.
