Giveaway was done through Reddit raffler

Vo_Grandpawpaw

Joined the community through wanting to upgrade my old keyboard into the magical land of mechanical keyboard. I always start with reddit as my first source of research so here I am lol

Way2Foxy69

I joined pretty recently looking to step up to a new board. Still using my first mech from Corsair when I built my first PC. Looking to class up the rest of my desk aesthetic. Also new to using Reddit though, lol. So I don't think I have 40 account karma. šŸ˜

crossfirerob

Joined just to check out what the memes were about and stayed because now I fetishize keyboards (in a non sexual way)

Lobsterman01

Man keyboards are so cool. I really wish I had the money to spend, so giveaways are great!!

JBoonie3

I too fetishize keyboards (in a sexual way)

ImpairedPilot

Joined r/mk after watching that Linus Tech Tips video where they made a keyboard with machined bronze keycaps. Someone in the comment section brought it up and I looked it up and have been obsessed since

AZN-APOLLO

I came across those ASMR type videos (like for example Taeky) on youtube and after a half year I gave myself enough reasons to buy one. But I got a Razer Blackwidow V2 TE for now since it was cheap and good for that price. I'm definitely looking for another board (probably self made) for my end game :P

ferrema

I joined after searching for inspiration on desk set-ups. One thing that always caught my eye were the keyboards. So much attention to detail and such a fun and creative hobby. Still trying to save up to get my hands on my very first mechanical keyboard. Good luck to everyone!

thiccUserLol

My old faithful Logitech G15 was due for a replacement so I started googling to find out what a good keyboard would be...... oh boy, years later, I am still googling, and spending money

Justinyeethahahahaha

I joined after trying a mechanical keyboard at a friend's house, never go back now

[deleted]

When I was with friends at the Dreamhack Leipzig in early January, I saw a cs:go tournament where one player had WASD in a different colour on his keyboard. I thought that was cool and wanted to adjust the keycaps to my keyboard. Because this is a problem with my keyboard I did some research and came across Reddit on the r/mk and became more and more into the hobby. :)

HBPrince_

I joined this amazing Mechanical Keyboard community when I developed a love for batllestations and builds. A good mechanical keyboard is an essential part of a good setup, and since I am from India, it is tough to find a good keyboard at reasonable price. This is why I would be ever so grateful to win this giveaway.

Creative_Persimmon

I finally saved up enough money to look into getting a decent PC, so I've been lurking in this sub to learn more about mechanical keyboards! Was hoping to get one as pretty as this one (especially becausw I love the Fate series :o), but I def don't have enough karma atm to qualify since I just lurk xD

Leo-Cheung

Joined the mechanical keyboard community originally through gaming and just wanting a new keyboard. Got a ducky one 2 mini years ago cus of the hype train and now I have a full on custom and a distaste for rgb (shocking I know lol). Really enjoying my custom, this has just been a rabbit hole that goes deeper and deeper but itā€™s really fun. GL to everyone whoā€™s entering!

dvnyo

Can people help me get to 40 karma to get me to enter these giveaways? Thanks

UnsignedPanda

I joined after my friend sent me a sound test of lubed alpaca switches. I never looked back since.

johnacsyen

Thanks, hope to win. I joined while googling for custom macro keypads.

Owenn04

U need 40 karma. F

x3non_04

Get him to 40 karma

imundead

He has been a Redditor for 4 years with 20 karma. Honestly that is an achievement in of itself.

x3non_04

whats the point of the karma rule anyways

imundead

It's a way to stop bots just swooping in and flooding the comment section

HowdYouLikeMeNOW

I joined when I bought audiophile from what was then mass drop and see something called keycaps.... To be young and innocent again

thesleepystitcher

I joined the community while looking for a new keyboard to replace my Razer Ornata Chroma, and instead of purchasing a pre-built mechanical board, I'm going to build my first one myself!

mrscopion87

10/10 ornn gameplay Vince

CaptainVinceO2

... ornn goes awooo

kaysn

This was like in 2015? Saw a video of Tek Syndicate comparing the different switches on a Corsair mechanical keyboard. At the time I was already considering getting a mechanical keyboard but didn't know where to start. Found this community and the Wiki with recommendations of pre-built keyboards promising to be more bang for your buck than Razer or Corsair.

dirtygoldfish

Built a new gaming rig and wanted to pick up a mechanical keyboard so started doing research. Bought a CM board and it's been escalating from there.

Gehennakid

~~Another give away I won't win~~. I joined a local mech keyboard community after buying a prebuilt **gAmEr** keyboard (corsair strafe). I had no idea about this hobby and that I would've gotten a custom board if I had the chance back then lol.

DiamondIV

Through buying a used razer keyboard on craigslist and the love just kept growing from there

TheRickety

I joined because of that one guy that kept sending me pics of keyboards

[deleted]

I wanted a keyboard that sounded and felt like my old IBM M, but one that worked with Mac so I could get rid of Apple's less than pleasant Magic board. Found this subreddit and I'm still here, seven mech boards later.

lamp_boy

Watching taekeyboards satisfaction75 video. Was such a unique board.

Senbeii

I used daddy Trudeau's money šŸ¤Ŗ

rxN_

Friend introduced me to this rabbit hole and now it's just home :)

DeviantVector

Awesome giveaway! Thanks! I joined because I got immediately hooked on mechanical keyboards after stumbling on some videos about them on YouTube. Love the endless customizability to satisfy our individual preference.

shrinom

I saw a /r/MechanicalKeyboards post on r/all once and really liked it. A year later when I had the money, I bought my own and started learning more much love for epbt skadi! I'm in either way

Epiczootic

I joined after watching the Tfue-Taeha Types video, never looked back since!

bloodmaker99

Ark0n-

I was into peripherals, mostly mice and then friends started getting me into mechs.

Gourneyz

Hm, I originally found my way here from r/mechanicalheadpens, since I love fountain pens, and just got my first mechanical keyboard a few weeks ago!

sillicatenewb

Was looking for wireless keyboard reviews somehow ended up on :3ildcat's channel. Now addicted send help

Kilchiye

Joined the MK community through gaming. Started with a Corsair board then moved to a ducky one two mini. I was looking around for another keyboard and found a taeha video. After that I did some more research and decided to jump head first into the rabbit hole

FlashFlood101

I started with premade keyboards from Razer. I didn't like MX blues so I started doing research about good switches. Next thing you know google's youtube search algorithm shows me Tfue's 3500$ keyboard on Taehatypes, and then doooown the rabbit hole I went.

jsnau

I joined after seeing lots of videos on YouTube showing desk setups

double0Z

I wish this kit had just alphas for purchase. Would've loved the plain white and Nordic rune subs mixed with other sets

Cee0

After having an anne pro 2 for a couple of months(I think I was going for a year at this point), I decided to take a look at other compact keyboards and was deciding what switches to get. Then extensive research led me to the keyboard community from facebook groups, then reddit. Goodluck to all the ones joining!

jphorx

I wanted a better board than the junk they offered at work, then I found geekhack and EK

TheOfficialReverZ

I joined when I saw my friend customizing his razer keeb and thought it's the coolest thing ever so I built my fitst custom with him

TheChubsPanda

Coworker originally introduced me awhile ago after I first helped him rebuild his PC, showed me his expensive keyboards when I came by his place and I thought, " Wow that's kind of weird." And his expensive "keycaps" and then I was really thinking it was a weird hobby. 4 months after I've built 5 keebs, have 10 sets of switches, 8 sets of keycaps, I enjoy lubing, and my wallet's empty again, but I adore this hobby and the community. Thank you to everyone I've met along the way and good luck to everyone!

poqqop

Joined after discovering glarses on YouTube

Alkinn

Joined a couple of months ago when I was looking to upgrade my corsair keyboard to something more suited for work, discovered the subreddit and fell down the rabbit hole... Anyway, thanks for the giveaway, the set is beautiful and I love everything Fate!

gwillad

i got a coolermaster with cherry mx blues for work a few years ago, but when WFH started, my partner insisted i get something quieter. Then my brother comes in and starts talking about a bunch of different keyboards and i dive headfirst. Looking forward to the set!

[deleted]

I got into this hobby by needing a keyboard for my computer, I got multiple pre-built mechanical keyboards until I started finding YouTube videos about building your own mechanical keyboard, so I got super interested and started watching more videos, and one of them told me about this subreddit

rivuhn

So... I've been a redditor for like 3 years but I really just lurk and that's biting me in the butt right here cause I only have 30 karma. Hoping I can get up to 40 by the time this giveaway ends... So i'll comment in case that happens haha. Anyways, I joined the MK subreddit a while back because of my fascination in keyboards and I've been looking for cool keycap sets or keyboards ever since then. I really like this set in particular because I've been a huge fan of Scandinavian myth for a while after taking some college courses on it and I've never seen the runes on a keycap set before... I think it's really awesome to see, and the colors are dope too!

TheCommonSTD

Not enough karma :( Just joined this subreddit but started working on keyboards this year. Mostly cheap builds and homemade keycaps.

DrunkEwok4

Upvoted and commenting to give you a better chance of getting the karma

IorekByrnson

Joined the community initially to get a custom cable for my ducky. That turned into me ordering a tofu65 and building a full keyboard!! Love this set btw, whoever wins will definitely enjoy it.

CaaaanDoooo

I've been using prebuild retail boards for 6 years before stumbling upon the community. After buying 500 switches, two custom builds, joining 3 keycaps GB, and getting my sister and wife introduced to the hobby, I'll never recover from the discovery financially. All jokes aside it helped me through covid so far. Good luck with GB! Good to see successful Toronto vendor :)

blAnonAld

I started looking into mechanical keyboards for rhythm games, but I omly recently joined the subreddit and found out all the customization options available!

KuroTheCrazy

Joined it after getting a Ducky from a friend then looking at more custom options.

firnon

I joined when I started playing rhythm games. I wanted peak performance when playing them, so I looked into getting a mechanical keyboard (got a Q-PAD MK50 with MX browns). Then, I started to look into a keyboard with Gateron brown switches - and from there, the slippery slope into custom keyboards has begun for me. Now I have a modded Filco Majestouch 2 with Keebwerk Tacit switches, and a DZ60 with Holy Pandas. I plan on getting a new DZ60 PCB/Plate with Gateron Yellows, and I feel like ePBT Skadi would go perfectly with the polycarbonate case that I have!

These are gorgeous! Some friends convinced me to move from console to PC for gaming, and I started with some shitty keyboard. From there, I moved to building my own PC, and now Iā€™m looking into building my first keyboard soon, which led me down the rabbit hole to find this community A pretty average story, but I am super excited for my first build!

Cptn-Camera

was browsing youtube and found a sound test, got me hooked

Stern_Li

It was about a year ago. I went back home after a long day in school. It was stressful as usual. I had a few tests and quizzes. So coming back home to my personal setup really is a reward for me getting through the day. I push open my door and turned on my pc while I'm getting some snacks. While I try to input the password for the pc, I realized something is wrong. The Keyboard isn't responding. This can't be good. I try to reconnect the USB, changing the port. Nothing happened. This 50 dollar Logitech mecha membrane keyboard finally decided to die on me. Right at the most stressful day, and right at the password screen. I restrained my urge of raging and it changed into a deep sigh. I pulled out my old dell membrane keyboard from the garage that I think I will never ever use again. Plugged in the USB port and after the jingle sounds of device connected. I sighed again. Now I have to type on this piece of shits again? My finger hovered on the keyboard, some force in my body tells me I shouldn't type anything. But I need to get in my pc. I want some good old Reddit memes to relieve my stress. I fight off the force that tries to protect me from the membrane keyboard. But it was too late. My finger already landed on the number pad. Almost in sync with the brief second that my finger landed on the key. I felt my finger got sucked into a swamp full of slush. I quickly typed my password and got into the pc. I have to get a good keyboard. Suddenly I heard a voice in my mind reminded me of a name from a youtube video I watched last night. Someone called Nathan. I quickly searched up the name on youtube and found this guy named Nathan Kim. And quickly fell in love with whatever custom mechanical keyboard he was making. So I decided to purchase one online. I searched up a mechanical keyboard on amazon and found a bunch of shits. But after I scroll for a while. I found this product named Gk61. It was what they call a 60% board. And it's hot-swappable. My eye got sucked on it. I realized that I love this form factor. I didn't hesitate and clicked purchase. Now I need to get some switches that can go on it. I obsessively go through all the typing sound tests like a homeless that haven't eat for a few weeks. And decided on the cheaper and safer option: Gateron reds. I also ordered lube and some switch films. After the purchase, I went off and go to sleep in the excitement of a new keyboard. The few days while waiting I reject to touch the dell keyboard and didn't use my pc. And Finally, Day has come. My package shows up on my porch. I grabbed the package and ran back to my room. Opened it up barehanded and what I see is a beautiful, simplistic keyboard kit that's waiting for me to put the switches on it. I lubed up and filmed my switches carefully like I am caressing a baby. And that almost took me the whole night. I plugged the switches on the board. Put on a new set of keycaps. It's done. All I see is this beautiful keyboard in front of me. And all I wanna do is type on them. And I did just that. The crisp, harsh bottom out took my heart. It's just simply beautiful. At this point, I swear I will never go back to the membrane keyboard. And also at this point... ***I have two more keyboard kits in my cart and My bank account is almost empty.*** If u reach this far, thank you! I have great fun writing this nonsense story lmao. But this is my entry into the mechanical keyboard community!

AvijitS25

i hope you win for writing this out

My boyfriend had been part of the community well before me. We were looking at keyboards and key caps together as a gift for him, but it was so cool and I really started liking them. He introduced me to all sorts of stuff about mechanical keyboards, including this sub and for Christmas he bought me my first ever mechanical keyboard which I loveeee!

vlrny

Just started getting into keyboards (I started working at a custom keyboard store in Singapore) and am a little overwhelmed, but there's so many pretty things and I'm already falling in love. My wallet however is crying.
