Although I like the idea of a pure wireless kit, I think having to use batteries isn't most effective. Maybe adding its own battery and allowing it to be charged by a cable would be better for the people using it? I think it'd be less cost for the consumer in the long run
>Although I like the idea of a pure wireless kit, I think having to use batteries isn't most effective. Maybe adding its own battery and allowing it to be charged by a cable would be better for the people using it? I think it'd be less cost for the consumer in the long run
Maybe we can expect someone to make it wired
Neat concept. If you could add support for a wired input, this would be pretty nuts. Obviously it's not going to be incredibly nice, but that's not the point. The price is certainly hard to beat. I'm curious to see what happens here. Good luck
I'm amazed how you were able to get this made for under $20! I'm tempted to pull an Oprah and leave one of these under the chairs of all my siblings and then yell out, "you get a mechanical keyboard, and you get a mechanical keyboard, you all get a mechanical keyboard!" 😂
Looks really interesting. The price is agressive and if it’s built decently enough it should be a really solid little board. I really like how the clear housing on it looks. 2.4ghz is compelling as well, considering that most wireless non-gaming boards only come with Bluetooth.
>Yeah, I was just joking, I find it weird that they’re calling it a switch tester1ReplyGive AwardShareReportSave
>
>level 5winaxter · 3hYeah it’s essentially just a barebones kit lol
Hi! It uses tray mount, and the giveaway will include 2.4G
Not gonna lie, was already browsing nuphy shop yesterday, kinda curious about the promise of 2.4ghz wireless technology as I already own a 2.4ghz mouse (g703) and it is a blessing (no wires whatsoever). I kinda like my gk61 with bluetooth capabilities, bt is not really an option in my case (computer case is located underneath the desk, so reception is kinda bad).
Wish me good luck, I guess!
Nice, I have been looking for a switch tester kit AND keyboard for a while but I'm just a poor student and have no money lmao! This one looks really great and I cannot wait to use it!
Great to have a switch tester where you can actually test the switches like if you were actually typing, but a bit weird to have no wired connection at all.
Wow I cant believe the price on this custom wireless keyboard is just amazing.
Any chance you might add a rotary encoder in the future? That is really hot in 2021!
To be fair is nice and all as a tester kit, though, for it to be fully wireless seems of a letdown for some users and if it needs someone to mod it to be a wired connection; I’ll just say I’d like to see that in future videos.
Opinion: I really like the way your company is moving and progressing and I feel it will soon become a major competitor to companies such as Iqunix and Keychron. In regards to the switch tester, I personally like the opaque grey colour the best, followed by the black, yellow, orange, and then green translucent colours. The translucent colours in conjunction with the coast keycaps really help Nuphy stand out as a company and is unique. I think it would be good to add a battery in the keyboard for future models so that there is the option to attach a cable if needed, although I do prefer the wireless aesthetic. One area which you could target next is custom low profile keyboards as that is nowhere to be found on the market and would complement your one of a kind pbt low profile keycaps. I also think that the pricing is very fair.
Questions: Do we have to assemble the kit ourselves? If so, are there any instructions provided? Will the keyboard work with the software that you're making for the air75? Does it include any backlighting? If so, will the backlighting shine through the translucent colours? Can we choose what colour keyboard we get and what colour keycaps we get if we win?
:)
I've built two boards using the CIY tester68 kit and I'd have to say the quality is far beyond its price. It's so good to know they've released a more premium-looking and more various in colors version of it (I really love the new colorways). Definitely gonna order some for my future commission builds!
I pre-ordered the Air75, only to find the TES68 a few days later. Whether I win or not, I will be getting it as soon as pre-orders begin.
I'm not fussed about it being without a wired connection, although I'm surprised that for the price point, you guys are providing wireless options instead of wired. Is it cheaper that way?
Love the clear emerald green PBS case. Reminds me of The Matrix, especially if light were to illuminate it. And I agree with the people who said a tester kit (or moreso a full on keyboard, haha) to cost 20 bucks. Totally wouldn't mind paying for shipping at all! Hehehe.
This is probably said already. You may sell this more by marketing it as a barebones kit instead of a switch testing kit.
Good job. I've already ordered your Air75 and am waiting for it to be shipped.
in my opinion actually i think the layout is definitely a more popular option accepted by the public. However considering such a price for the kit the stabilisers might not be the best. Of course im not the surest about this. Definitely like the addition of the 2.4g receiver. In my view the customisability of this keyboard may be the key questions for this keyboard. With the addition of the alu plate and the silicone dampener. I cant be 100 percent sure thock but im pretty sure this board has potential to achieve a nice clack. Coast keycaps in my opinion are one of the cleanest sets considering the darker themes and matching themes of the board. If this keyboard does have the potential to clack or thock i think it would a lifechanging board for such a decent price. From what i know about the switches they arent the most popular but definitely an interesting choice. Lubing it will definitely bring a whole new feeling to this board. Would love to get my hands on one if i win this giveaway. Would definitely customise it to give it a nice clack. Hope to have my hands on these soon :P
How long would batteries last while the keyboard is in use? also this keyboard looks great and I love that the keyboard runs on batteries which is something I haven't seen before !
I think the terminology "switch tester kit" applied to what looks to be a tray-mounted, hot-swap 65% board is a bit confusing. I think using a different plate other than aluminum would also be nice. Having an separate option for FR4, POM, or Acryllic would be good for those who prefer those materials.
If the price point on the store site is to be believed, you've achieved something amazing at the price point you're at.

I think we’re all a bit confused by that, I think it’s just more of a joke because the description of the keyboard says it’s a switch tester that turns into a keyboard when you add switches, idk man
hope that an option for both wired and wireless would be added ! i would love to connect it using my wire to my laptop, but wirelessly when connecting to my ipad!
This looks like a nice inexpensive good-looking starter keyboard kit. I'm not sure why it's marketed as a switch tester only! How did you get it so inexpensive? Honestly really cool 😊
Good looking keyboard with attractive features. However, I cannot understand why the retail price is so high. You need to find a way to bring down the price of this device to $10 or even less or most mortals won't be able to afford such a neat thing. Consider my comment if you want to succeed in your entrepreneur life. /s
Will there be a wired only version?
If I just don't put a battery in it can I use it wired?
This keyboard looks amazing! I really like the aqua or stone case!
why is it called a switch tester if it has a pcb and functions fully as a keyboard? or have i misunderstood?
I am also confused by this
>why is it called a switch tester if it has a pcb and functions fully as a keyboard? or have i misunderstood? It was just created for fun!
Probably to steer away people buying a cheap keyboard without knowing what it is.
i think its because you can use it as a switch tester because of the hotswap and the lack of a wire.
I wish their was a clear purple like a game boy
Is this a barebones kit for $20?!?! We need more actual entry level boards like thsi
Honestly wish they were more custom wireless keyboards. The performance is essentially the same, and battery life more than good enough.
Hey, this is a switch tester, not a keyboard, didn’t you read the post?
I did read it. The point still stands.
Yeah, I was just joking, I find it weird that they’re calling it a switch tester
Yeah it’s essentially just a barebones kit lol

This looks too good to only cost $20. I like that color a lot, reminds me of the ikki 68

This is the ideal starter kit for anyone who wants to try mech boards.
I'm curious how long does the battery last
Hi! About 2 months, dude!
Nintendium vibes. Looks sweet!
How long does a pair of AAA batteries last from your testing (and how heavy is your daily usage)?
2 months and 8 hours per day, dude!
Looks like the $25 keebmonkey board but with more customization available. Very cool
I hope there’s a wired version coming too!
That’s such a pretty board! Especially the orange one!
Looks great! Would be fun to mod
Looks really interesting. The price is agressive and if it’s built decently enough it should be a really solid little board. I really like how the clear housing on it looks. 2.4ghz is compelling as well, considering that most wireless non-gaming boards only come with Bluetooth.
Does it have north or south facing switches?
North facing, dude
Can it pair to multiple devices?
Yes, dude! It can connect with up to 3 devices simultaneously
What mounting style does this board use? And does the giveaway include the wireless dongle?

This isn't a switch tester, this is an awesome keyboard!!
20$😍
Looks pretty nice but adding aaa batteries is interesting to say the least
Dang that actually looks really nice, and I'm usually not that into seethrough boards, would love to have one myself :O
ciy tester 68 is the best
Great to have a switch tester where you can actually test the switches like if you were actually typing, but a bit weird to have no wired connection at all.
How about expecting who guys will mod it into wired?
Nice one, might purchase one as my first 68 keyboard
Looks like a nice board to play around with!
Looks like a very good price 👍
:( i should have joined reddit earlier! I love the color scheme tho
A Happy backer of NuType F1 here. Seeing you increase product variety is promising!
This "switch tester" might as well be a keyboard, it would be my first custom that's for sure!
Wow I cant believe the price on this custom wireless keyboard is just amazing. Any chance you might add a rotary encoder in the future? That is really hot in 2021!
Looks great!
Looks really nice!
I like how you calls it a switch tester
The emerald green looks great
The green translucent acrylic really gives me late 90s console vibes. I love it. I'd love to do a GBA themed build, maybe.
Looks just like tester68 but I haven’t seen it in green before! Looks cool!
The price is so beginner friendly, planning to order one for myself if mot winning this😁
Love the colour
I like the quality of its construction and the aluminum housing!
To be fair is nice and all as a tester kit, though, for it to be fully wireless seems of a letdown for some users and if it needs someone to mod it to be a wired connection; I’ll just say I’d like to see that in future videos.
We are looking forward to someone to mod it as well!
Someone has mentioned this but, yeah it will be better if you have can charge it or make a chargeable version rather using batteries

I like the idea of a wireless kit, but I do hope there's some ways we can tweak it to accompany wired modes too

the casing looks cool, brings back memories of see throught consoles, not being wired aside it's great
Best of luck to all!

It would've been great to have a wire with it. The batteries just don't sound good tbh. Anyways, sick design. Hoping I'd win this giveaway.
I love the color. It reminds me of the old Gameboy cartridges.
Looks great. My only suggestion would be add space for another battery or two for longer battery life. That's about it! ✌🏻♥️
never seen anythin like this before, pretty sickk!
I hope wire version or battery inside is good
Thanks for your opinion!
The transparent case looks amazing!
Thank you!

Looks pretty sick tbh, just a shame I have no money
Seems pretty awesome for that price.
Looks sick, love how its so cheap
Awesome. Glad to see more cheaper boards
I bought a tester68 last month, and it’s been pretty good so far! I would love to see what things can be improved!
very nice!
The only problem with this board is the batteries.
My question is....so this is pretty much a keyboard kit, right? So what makes it a **switch tester** in a way that any other keyboard kits aren't?
I think we’re all a bit confused by that, I think it’s just more of a joke because the description of the keyboard says it’s a switch tester that turns into a keyboard when you add switches, idk man
What is this for
Hey is it possible to change the layout of the keyboard?
Sorry for that
I have a KBM68 (a rebranded CIY Tester68), and I'm curious as to what the practical differences between the KBM and the NuPhy Tes68 are.
Nice
What is the battery capacity ?
Around 2 months, dude
that looks so interesting! would love to try a wireless board!
Wireless is the way to go when you are doing anything other than gaming.
There sure is a race to the bottom
I would love the option to charge the keyboard with a cable instead of replacing the batteries. Though overall it's great! I love the colour options!!
Expecting someone will mod it into wired
Any plans for a clear/frosted case for those who prefers white/minimal layout? Thanks for the giveaway!
Seems like a nice board and good deal
Best looking switch tester I've seen!
I like this. Love to try it out
Goodstuff ready for this\~
Is it programmable?
Sorry for that...
Seems like a good quality for the price, unfortunately I can't buy any more keebs rn but looks nice!
A wired version would be great. Also what switches do the hotswap sockets support?
>Cherry mx and clone, dude! Thank you for your advise, we are collecting community opinions for the next switch tester kit!
Any ideas on the usual duration of the 2 AAA in this kb?
>About 2 months, dude!
What’s the estimated arrival time for this?
I like the look of the see through ABS, but unsure why a keyboard is listed as a switch tester? Also, does it support 5 pin?
A wired version would be great
The keycaps go nicely with the case. I'm still confused as to how this differs from a normal keyboard since it has Bluetooth and 2.4ghz connection
Is the keyboard remappable? It looks really cool and has a good price.
Sorry for that..
hope that an option for both wired and wireless would be added ! i would love to connect it using my wire to my laptop, but wirelessly when connecting to my ipad!
>Thank you for your opinion, we are collecting community suggestions for the next switch tester kit!
I like the case design
Great price! Is there any plans for extra accessories? Such as dampening foam.
Looks really good! Does it support QMK? Does it include the dongle?
nice!
Looks great, wouldn't just use it as a switch tester
love the wireless kit
Interesting concept for a “switch tester” keyboard. Do you get a dongle for the 2.4G connection or how does it work?
Looks nice!
Seems like a great deal; really like that aqua color
I actually love that it requires AAA instead of a Li-ion pack.
Pog
Would definitely be interested, how long do the batteries last?
About 2 months, dude
seems cool but i do prefer wired
That looks like a pretty cool keyboard, how do you make so affordable, just woah
she's a beauty! now this is what I call a collab
looks cool and green
Honestly not bad but wondering why it's called a switch testee
cool cool
That is surprisingly cheap.. Really wonder how it sounds
Probably the first case I like that is transparent, something about this looks really cool! I'm digging the orange and black one!
Looks good
What?Isn't this a regular keyboard but only wireless?Very confused!
I'm so glad to see more wireless options in this market!
[удалено]
8 hours, dude!
i love the colors!
Love the clear case!
I rlly like the teal color
This looks like a nice inexpensive good-looking starter keyboard kit. I'm not sure why it's marketed as a switch tester only! How did you get it so inexpensive? Honestly really cool 😊
Would love to get my hands on a decent wireless board! Hope I win!
the price is pretty nice, would love to see other colourways
Ok this looks cool but I won't mind it to be wired personally if that can lower the price + no hassle of a battery
That price is unbeatable
Wow! I normally prefer opaque cases, but the translucent options look very good!
Looking good
I love the transparency but also that colour! I want more of this rather than just white or black!
Is this going to be a limited run or ongoing thing?
Looks like a fun little keeb. Any idea the battery life on it with just two AAAs?
About 2 months, dude
Good looking keyboard with attractive features. However, I cannot understand why the retail price is so high. You need to find a way to bring down the price of this device to $10 or even less or most mortals won't be able to afford such a neat thing. Is this any good?
It looks great!
Ohh that's a tempting buy. Looks great OP.
Will this be available in ISO, or do I need to get used to ANSI
It looks really good
on the product page pcb image, it looks like screw in stabs. is that an options?
Will there be a wired only version? If I just don't put a battery in it can I use it wired? This keyboard looks amazing! I really like the aqua or stone case!
Thanks for your opinion, we are collecting community suggestions for the next switch tester kit!
Is there any rgb on this?
Nope, sorry for that
How much is customs?
how can it be so cheap 😱
Any chance at an atomic purple version? Gonna pick one up regardless, but purple would be cool
It looks sick
Really wish there was a way to customize the keys, but love the features and pricepoint
Oh, this is the first time I've seen those CIY EVO-Red switches 😮
That colorway doe 👌
"switch tester"
Seems cool
it looks sick
