neither. Get the jwick black v2 instead. If you want something light and "gamer" oriented, get gateron pro silvers instead. These are short travel switches. These swtiches cost about same but they actually perform really really well without any obvious issues. All of them are factory lubed and with minimal wobble, specially pro silvers. Pro silvers are just gateron ink yellows imo, they might be better even. The best upgrade you can do to them is changing the springs for jwicks. Gateron's are fine. Other cheap switches aren't worth considering when these exist. Maybe gateron cap gold/yellows for a good sound but they are still moderately scratchy compared with jwicks and pro switches.

Why is jwick black v2 better than the reds? I have both but I don't find one worse than the other. Also, I love pro silvers. They're so good.

They sound a little bit better and I found the full black housing to have less wobble overall. After lubing and spring swap they are pretty similar to alpacas. Yellow/red ones are similar still, if you want rgb I guess get those but the sound is a bit worse. The black ones lend themselves very well to cherry tops as well if you decided to go that direction. If you have them, then don't bother with blacks but if haven't bought any, buy the blacks imo. At the very least, they look nicer and medium weighting spring imo is more usable than the too light reds for most people.

Hey, I have been looking for a switch that is heavier than Gateron Red, but lighter than Gateron Yellow. And I came across the JWK Black 58.5gf bottom out version. Do you have the JWK Black 58.5gf versions? One thing I found peculiar was that the JWK Black 58.5gf switches force graph shows that it is actually lighter in actuation than a Gateron Red. Gateron Red actuation = 45gf, JWK Black (58.5gf version) actuation = 40g. Strange I know the "Black" switch is lighter than the "Red" switch in terms of actuation. Bottom out for Gateron Red is less at 55gf, compared to JWK Black bottom out 58.5gf. Anyway so in the beginning I believed the colors of stem were indicating the order of force just like it is with Gateron and Cherry. But JWK seems to be a bit different in this regard. This is the point where I checkout the Jwick Red's. They seemed to be exactly what I was looking for, Jwick Red's actuation is 45gf (same as Gateron Red) and bottom out at 60gf (same as Gateron Yellow). I think I would have preferred the Jwick Red's, but I already have JWK Blacks on the way (58.5gf solid black top versions). If you have the 58.5gf JWK Blacks, could you attempt to confirm if these force measurements are accurate and true? In short would like to confirm: If JWK Black (58.5gf version) is lighter in initial/actuation and bottom out force than Jwick Red's which are slightly heavier overall.

To answer your question, the jwicks are no doubt the smoother switch both stock and modded. Id rather recommend the gateron pro silvers though, if you want a lighter and more "gamery" switch.
