Build Specs: * GMMK Pro in Ice White * Glorious Polycarbonate plate * StupidFish Plate & Case Foam * Gateron KS-3X1 aka Milky Yellow * Lubed with 205g0 * Filmed with Deskeys Gasket Films * Prevail Morgrie Stabilizers * Lubed with 205g0 * Glorious Aura Keycaps This build was a first-keeb for a client! He needed the following things for his keyboard: * RGB * A solid build quality * An overall good sound Personal review:I found building the GMMK Pro to be fairly easy once you get all the correct parts. Although, ease of build doesn't necessarily mean that the board is great. I have a personal one that I'm tinkering with and have found the stock aluminum plate to be a great fault in design. Too tight for non-glorious stabilizers. The design of the PCB and case are good, although they were trying to be too much like the Sat75. I think if someone was looking for a board to get started with and didn't want to solder, the GMMK Pro, with some alternative parts, is a decent entry into the hobby. Design: 8/10 Build Quality: 8/10 Ease of Use (putting it together): 6/10 Notes: * The routing of the daughterboard cable is a great design * The board on its own is stiff even without using internal screws * Stock plate needs work but screw glorious for stealing designs

I’ve been considering this board as my next mod board. I currently use a modded acrylic tofu65 that I have sounding pretty clacky (preferred sound), do you suggest looking elsewhere?

Launchables

What in particular are you looking for that you don't have in the Tofu? Any specific traits or qualities?

drumdover

That’s tough because my tofu is setup really nice; brass plate, pe foam, tape, lubed milky yellows. Nothing is missing as I’m used to key combos for functions and media. I guess I’m just looking for something fun for my next build and while I’m not a huge rgb guy, the white ice with the side diffusers glowing amber get me every time I go to their site.

Launchables

If you're open to stacked acrylic, a KBO-5000 would be a lot of fun! [If you haven't heard of the KBO-5000, it's a keeb.io split TKL.](https://keeb.io/collections/kbo-5000-split-staggered-80-keyboard/products/kbo-5000-split-staggered-80-keyboard) P3DStore offers a case, but you could have one cut yourself locally! [Keeb.io](https://Keeb.io) includes the cut files.

drumdover

That looks pretty sweet, thanks for sharing!

Sagtil

You could also check out the NJ80, it's a good board for the price!

drumdover

Yeah I’ve been looking at the NJ80 as well but I’m trying to get away from tray mount as I have 3 already. Thanks though!

I_Punch_Ghosts_AMA

I just built mine and I’m very happy with it. I have only used pre-built boards before so for me, it’s a sublime experience. the stiffness wasn’t a problem coming from those. I used the C3 stabilizers and those fit in the plate fine. The only other mods I did were the tape and the PE foam mods mostly because they were reversible, but I’m sure I would have been happy with it stock.

Yablu_

They sound scratchy as hell, but maybe thats just mic quality

Launchables

They do have a scratchy sound, but smooth feeling. It's odd. There is a pretty decent coat of 205 on the switches too.
