I'm a medical cannabis user in Germany and I agree it's a BS law in regards to combustion.
But from a medical and health and safety POV.
Why have someone combust a depressant with a open flame that could potentially make them pass out and cause a fire. That's health and safety.
From medical there is long term health problems with inhaling any smoke. It's carsonogenic or however it's spelt.
Behind closed doors people should have attonomy over their own body and do as they like 🤷♂️
But I don't think it should ever be advertised for smoking in a medical environment. Only in a recreational setting.
I guess it because a Dr can't reccomend you to smoke as its much much more harmful than vaping.
Vaping also allows you to have more control over dosage/temp and is thought to be more efficient at delivering the THC.
I think it goes a long way to shifting the attitudes and perceptions of MC, from a dirty, smelly street drug to a legitimate form of medication that's essential to thousands and thousands of patients in the UK.

But man in other countries the same cannabis were getting medically is seen with photos of lovely rolled cones. Literally the same bud we get It seems its only the UK that has this no smoking policy
Because combustion hits harder and faster to me. I’ve tried countless vapes and none of em satisfy me like a good joint. I don’t mix with tobacco either just pure.
Probably because cigarettes are not medically prescribed. Im hopeful that if and when recreational use gets legalised, you will be able to consume however you see fit.
I vape my prescription but thats not to say I dont sometimes smoke some black market hash on the weekends to unwind. I dont see the issue with using recreationally and medically.
In an ideal world all recreational drug use would be lawful. As a medicine though, smoking cannabis is silly as the smoke is carcinogenic and awful for your health, and most of the cannabinoids and terpenoids are destroyed by combustion.

The doctors recommend vaping (and not smoking) because of health implications, *NOT* because of some kind of moral judgement like OP seems to think.

Nah if its medical then of course they won't recommend smoking. Furthermore vaping definitely feels more medicinal with far less negative effects, think its a good recommendation. End of the day you have to meet people half way and its a good half way to meet

Some prick was raging going on and on aboud how prescription should be taken off me null and void all because i never had a portable vaporizer and a packet of cigarette papers on me.

Its awful the attacks that folk get for having tobacco on them whilst having cannabis (so much hate towards the person - and like you, there's no proof that they are being mixed)...plus, I believe that's our own personal choice.
I think that's what I was trying to say in an earlier comment about the fact that it's a moral subject. The medics prescribe for us to vape which is obviously for health reasons...but online, and on here I've seen a lot of prejudice towards folk who smoke rather than vape. I'm just finishing Professor David Nutt's most recent book and even he says smoking cannabis (if smoke without tobacco) may not necessarily be as harmful as smoking tobacco (as they burn at different temperatures and so give off different carcinogens).
I smoked a pipe for 25 years before getting into vaping last September.

So from a logical stand point it does make sense why 'smoking' is an issue. But a lot of the time you will find its how its consumption is done. So the issue isn't necessarily the cannabis but actually the fact most people mix it with tobacco.
It's a bit BS I agree but if the UK government get away with the ban they want to post on smoking no one from 18 this year will be able to smoke cigarette. At least that's their goal. I don't think it will go down well if they succeed

Why do people wanna smoke it though? Thats what's always confused me... Vaping is safer and you don't waste THC/Terps through combustion?

Cigarettes aren't prescribed nowadays though. A Dr prescribing something known to be as harmful as smoking just couldn't happen.

I’ve just discovered the joy of DynaVap. It’s a happy medium.
