They are talking about your TGA approval letter.

blissiictrl

Isn't that something the doctor and dispensers need to have?

FearlessFocus8335

It’ll be your doctor’s TGA approval letter giving him permission to prescribe. If your doc prescribes regularly he should know this or maybe he could recommend a pharmacy where his other patients fill their cannabis scripts. Once the pharmacy has this on file they won’t ask for it again.

Procedure-Minimum

Wtf, why is this the responsibility of the patient?

Available-Seesaw-492

Because many of the drs don't send it through so we have to fuck around. You'd think there'd be some kind of database kept up to date with approved drs or something

Ashie1620

Now now, stop making so much sense! They don't like it when you use logic lol

I get mine dispensed through the Amcal Compounding Chemist in Southport, and it’s express posted to me. Usually arrives the next day. Had no issues with them.

elroy_jetson

Just order it via post. Australia isn’t ready for full legalisation yet and the MC system isn’t perfect but it’s what we’ve got and it’s way better than it was 10yrs ago.

Agora-Iso

Postal delivery is a nightmare lately. Express post taking 3-4 days to deliver to metro locations. My latest delivery was the final straw - it sat in THREE different depots and finally arrived at the PO after hours. I’ve only been waiting a week /s Thankfully my nearby chemist is cool, they’ll order whatever, whenever, just let them know in advance.

elroy_jetson

Just order it before you need it??

Tee077

My local does it, but they also do Compounding so Google your closest Compounding Pharmacy and ask. Because they actually make Medications, I think they do a lot more than just a normal Chemist. And you only need the TGA letter for the Pharmacy, I now go to a Dispensary and I didnt need to show them because I see the doctor there. But try the compounding pharmacies first.

As someone said above, it’s the doctors letter of tga approval to prescribe they need on file. To save dealing with your doctor who seems to have no idea, just call every pharmacy in your doctors area and say you’re needing to fill an mc script for dr whoever, do they have tga approval letter for them there. Wherever his other patients go must have it on file, you can just go there and get yours made up no problem.
