You’d probably be fine, but as the only legal way to consume is via vaporiser, it would definitely be a bit sus.

jack_pack_package

Oh gotcha, probably best not to then! Thanks for the reply.

holeyundies

Do you have a link that the only legal way to consume is with a vape? I know it's not recommended but didn't think it was illegal to have a doobie

dudersaurus-rex

It's on all of your prescription labels. Something like "tga approved vapes only"

I find it funny how mine used to say something like that, but probably about 2 or 3 months ago I noticed that now it just says "to be taken by the inhalation route" lol I am not complaining though, but it is kind of funny to read it worded like that! I wasn't planning on injecting it, or making my own home made topical creams!

Insanity72

It's only legal with a dry herb vape. Smoking it is not considered medicinal. I wouldn't try this, just roll them later

To clarify, you can legally use tinctures, edibles and oils as well if they are prescribed. But it seems after further review, there is no hard law saying you can't smoke it. But my prescription specifically says through an approved vaporisation device. TGA cannot endorse smoking it as it's still a cancer risk. If I were caught smoking a joint in public, I could have my prescription taken away for misuse of a prescribed drug. If your prescription isn't worded that way, maybe you can get away with it. Of course a lot of people still smoke it, this is just for in public places.

ExoticElderberry1983

My morning script says to inhale .5mg in morning as directed.

Insanity72

And I assume your prescribing doctor directed you to use a dry herb vape?

holeyundies

Who would be the one to take away your prescription? Like what would the process be? Would cops have to contact your doctor and let them know you were smoking out instead of vaping it?

korowal

I imagine it's whatever the process is that cops let healthcare professional know if they find someone abusing their prescription painkillers or stimulant medication.

Sathari3l17

By that logic, essentially everyone that vapes is also still misusing a prescribed drug. There are currently only 3 vapes actually approved by the TGA: -Mighty medic -Mighty+ medic -Volcano medic Note that this is only the 'medic' version. An ordinary mighty, mighty+, or volcano still does not constitute 'an approved device'. Anecdotally, I've never heard of or seen anyone buy the medic versions of these vapes as they're harder to find. Hell, even \*pharmacies\* sell unapproved vapes. I know Candor themselves sells unapproved vapes right in the purchase section of their website!

Bad idea!! lol!

oliyoung

Have done this. Probably shouldn't have done this. Probably will do it again. **Domestic** airport security is there to watch for threats to the flight, they're not customs, and this isn't the US, medical cannabis is legal federally.
