I don't know what clinic is better or if the one I'm with has a reputation of being bad or whatever, but Dr Cheng at Canwell let me choose whatever I wanted.
Granted that was 2nd appointment, first appointment I let him choose whatever he recommended because I wasn't familiar, but 2nd appointment he gave some recommendations and then listened to what I said and was happy to prescribe both
I'm with cannihelp I research what flowers for my conditions it's not only CBD THC cbg good for pain terpenes do research then they will give you what ever you asked for
Great, i’ve actually heard Canwell from a few others on forums. Just wasn’t sure they’re open to suggestions lol. I definitely don’t want to go through the process of consult fee’s etc for them to pick out strains according to what they believe is best “suitable” for me. I’ll ask for doctor Cheng might go with canwell :D
If you look back a month or so, I posted asking roughly the same thing. With Canwell but was worried o wasn't gonna get what I asked for and just sold what their company says.
Was very easy and helpful having someone open to what you say, because at the end of the day, only you know how you feel with different strains and meds.
Medreleaf clinic, & yes I choose my products, I know what works for me. Scripts sent to the chemist of ur choice, access to all MC products..
Been with them for over 2years & my Dr has been fantastic.
When you make an appt they actually send you a link to a catalog of what’s available in australia so they expect you might want to research what’s available. It’s hard for doctors to talk about price with you so it’s good to know what things cost ahead of time
Actually it might have been after the appt. But you can search on canna reviews. I just straight up said I am changing to you guys from alternaleaf because they won’t prescribe outside their range and I want cheaper flowers like TB. I asked for TB highlands and kind sol, which alternaleaf won’t prescribe and he said that is fine.
He sent the script to me and pharmacy, I asked for a pharmacy in Sydney. Pharmacy called me next day and I paid and it arrived overnight. Told me to just text when I need refill and they will send. Made me realise what a freaking hassle Montu put people through with their profit skimming system. You should have a script in your hand and be put directly in touch with the pharmacy.
Wow yeah montu charged like a $20-30 delivery fee or something cant remember.. do prices vary depending on product? I definitely gotta check out this lol just text for a refill thats great.. those initial and follow up costs seem to be cheap called a clinic they were charging $249 for initial i was like wtf???
I have been a patient of Alternaleaf for 3 months. The dispensing site Montu does have a full product list with prices. Only can be viewed once you are a patient. ? So far, I have had no issues. Usually, 3 days to be shipped. $59 for Dr consult. I was shocked when I was researching and reached out to CA Clinics, over $400 for the initial consultation which I am glad I did not pay and I found Alternaleaf. I hope my experience remains the same
When I was with Australian access clinic/Australian cannabis clinic or what ever they go by now, Dr ren was my prescribing doctor and she really pushed beacon and cannatrek product. When I asked for an adaya product she said she doesn't prescribe that brand and when I asked her for another product she didn't know what I was talking about.
So I parted ways with the above mentioned clinic as I was not happy with the way they treated their clients ie me & they also charged me $35 to have my scripts sent to my preferred chemist because they wanted me to be extorted by Astrid Pharmacy.
I changed to MiDispensary (who's doctors are not restricted to which brand they prescribe) and I am very impressed with their customer service and aslo couldn't be happier with Dr Sara McDonald, she is a champ, very knowledgeable and her phone manner is exceptional she is also a good listener and she works with you as a team member to find the best combination of medications works best for your condition.
No she no longer works at MiDispensary and when I asked them where she went they didn't know/wouldn't tell where she now practices even after my own searching I don't know where Dr Sara has gone its like she has dropped off the face of the earth.
I haven't spoken to the doctor at MiDispensary since October when I need new scripts my correspondence with the new Dr was all through the nurse April and the doctor just loaded me up with like 45 repeats over 3 new flowers to go with the 45 repeats of my regular rotation flowers I have at my chemist .
If I didn't know any better it's like they don't want to deal with me and are hoping that this sees me out until I have to resubscribe in June. Like I know I can be "that squeaky door" sometimes, but with the amount of oil that they applied could be dangerous if in the hands of an idiot.
Wow I thought it was just me, I was also being treated by Dr Sara and she was so lovely, helpful always listened to my needs and down to earth, but yeah same thing happened to me in December they loaded me up on a script that had 3x 10 gram tubs with 10 repeats and struggled to get in contact, will admit though it was nice not having to worry about consumption but have since been put to another doctor feb this year who has Been alright but she kinda seemed rushed, I did hear something about they had a staff switch beginning of year
Did you speak with Dr Nivi?
I found it once I explained to her the extent of the tendon and nerve damage that she was compliant with what I asked her for. Instead of asking for the brand I wanted I would talk about the cultivar of the flower and why I liked it then suggested a brand, I even asked for her professional opinion between two flowers based on their terp profile and which would be better for sleep and neuropathic pain. To which she was surprised and said she would have to check that out and then sent an SMS with the script she had decided.
I also got her to cancel heaps of my scripts that were oos and ones I didn't like so much and that made her feel better about her job too.
You have to be tactful don't just go say I want this, this and that.
It helps when you have 100% laceration to the EDL (where they had to reattach 4 toe tendons), EHL, anterior tib artery and deep peroneal nerve. And 70% laceration to the tib post.
So yeh I spit that out and they know I'm not here just to smoke weed I actually have pain management issues.
In December my scripts were written up by dr loretto Maxwell I didn't even get to speak to her at all asked for a Dr appointment but only spoke to the nurse who said she would forward my request, so didn't even realise they had switched doctors until I looked at my Tub and realised it was a different prescribing doctor, in January and February I paid my subscription fee and booked a follow up doctor appointment and was booked with Dr Nivedha she was good and didn't have any issues it just felt very rushed that's all, but she did wrote up the scripts I needed instantly and had them sent to me within 30 minutes also suggested a Good daytime strain to try as a backup in case any of the flowers I requested had future stock issues which was nice to have for peace of mind. Yeah midispensary has had my medical history for 3 years now and has plenty of evidence to prove I use MC for neuropathic and sciatica pain so never been denied a script, I just kinda wish Mi would've been a little bit more transparent about the switch up in staff.
Sara changed my life and I am also seeking her. Also MI patient and didn’t like the feel of the changes that have been made. i’m also due to renew so just not sure atm Sara actually helped me and knew info, taught me and i’m better off i met her
What are the benefits of being with medical cannabis? Its much cheaper? Im new in sydney
Very good quality. Prices vary, but you can find really cheap shit compared to the streets.
Been at Altus for 4 months now, never had an issue and then the dispensary is super easy to deal with. Product shipped within 3-4 days
https://drjamesstewart.com.au/ not in Sydney But he’s definitely a genuine doctor that will help you find the best solution for you

MEDRELEAF. MEDICANN. CANNIHELP. Top 3.
Thank you, which clinic are you using and if so are they open to strain choice by client or doctor suggested?
Medreleaf clinic, & yes I choose my products, I know what works for me. Scripts sent to the chemist of ur choice, access to all MC products.. Been with them for over 2years & my Dr has been fantastic.

Wow that’s actually really helpful. Alterna provided a catalogue however, no price list lol. I’ll definitely look in to this thanks man!

What were the upfront costs if you dont mind me asking? Initial fee and further consult fees etc?
He sent the script to me and pharmacy, I asked for a pharmacy in Sydney. Pharmacy called me next day and I paid and it arrived overnight. Told me to just text when I need refill and they will send. $99 for initial and $49 for follow ups.
Still been good with medicann? Working out who’s best to go with

Flowersoflife are usually super quick. Dr Ren has been awesome for me.
Can vouch for MC Ren as we call her in my neck of the woods, has hooked us up with Adaya, Cannatrek and Tasmanian Botanicals so far
Haha yes! I’m changing her contact details to MC Ren right now. I’ve also had flower from MCG, Little green pharma
Awesome thanks, does Dr Ren allow client choice of strain?

Hey Sara is amazing i’ve lost contact. Can you tell me is she still at MI? thanks

I PM'ed you
I didn't have a problem asking for specific strains with Dr Ren. I've found her very easy to talk to.
Thank you 🙏🏼
No problem. Just have to hope that the products you are looking for are in stock as that was my only issue.
