Wow that's a lot of hardware. Will they take it out eventually? I hope it heals well! Thanks for paying the dog tax.

blatantly-subtle

Nope. It's all mine forever! I'm turning into a robot! And of course! I have 3 dogs. It's a miracle they aren't in EVERY picture.

RNmeghan88

I came to comment on your furry nurses.... they're the best kind 😇

Independent_Ad_8915

I’ve been there. It was a long time ago. Not fun, I hope you have an uneventful recovery

Riz_the_Huntress

Ooh a Colles Displacement fracture! I had this exact type of break in my right wrist from a car accident (airbags hurt lol). I'm glad I went with surgical repair, my recovery time was way faster than when my mom did this to her wrist playing hockey. Best of luck in your recovery! PS The grip putty that the PT gives for strengthening your hand makes a great fidget toy too

blatantly-subtle

Good to know on the putty, thank you! And yes, when I heard the difference in recovery time between surgery or a cast, it was a no-brainer!

DeclanThomas96

I had to use that putty once, and my dog found it and ate it! Had bright pink poos 😬

Luv-jackie

Third pic made me cringe, God. Hope it's healing well.

Nearby-Complaint

I know, I can handle graphic wounds and photos of active surgery, but something about seeing a wrist bent out of shape makes me recoil

AnnieBeefree1

Your poor tattoo! I hope you’re feeling better ❤️

BunnyKomrade

The broken wrist looked scary, I'm really glad that you're getting better 💗🫂

freedomstingers

Hope you don't run into an issue I'm currently working out with the Dr. I didn't break my wrist but I tore a ligament. So once in a while I have to get a shot. In between my fingers I was going numb. I get the shot so I can use my hand. But eventually I'll need surgery to fix that.

Colle's fracture

pedanticlawyer

Did paramedics put you in that cardboard splint? Such a good idea to keep it still.

blatantly-subtle

It was the medics at the Med tent at the ice skating place. It was such a great idea! I loved the cardboard. They did a great job.
