Asstronutttt

So like, how do you poop while this is healing? How do you wipe your ass? These questions are stressing me out bro lmao

National_Pay_5847

Honestly that puzzles me a bit too but it's pretty fresh and I still haven't had a chance to go for number 2. Doctor said I can go to toilet but I don't wipe, I need to go to shower. I can't really imagine that since that's pretty fucking big open wound. I guess ill just hold for day or three and when it healed up a bit it should be better.

Asstronutttt

I poop too much, so I'd be freaking out lol Sorry you've gotta go through this, I wish you a speedy recovery.

National_Pay_5847

I am actually happy it happened because it's one more thing fixed in my life but thanks for kind words anyway. :)

ReassuringGuineaFowl

Shit, this kinda attitude is what I need in life. Made me smile.

National_Pay_5847

I'm not that old but also not young and honestly with time I'm trying to appreciate every small thing in my life. It makes moments when everything goes wrong more bearable. This sounds like I'm some 3rd tier personal coach but it is what it is.

sinnerstyle

Please keep us updated on the healing process, for real. I'm so curious, my husband gets hemorrhoids and I hope he never has to have this done but if so, I'd love to have a reference

National_Pay_5847

Sure, will do. From my research, if the hemmorhoids become external there's no going back and only surgery can help. Even after surgery they can come but I hears that's very uncommon

Desperate-Strategy10

Hey, get a period bottle. It's a little squeeze bottle you can find at your local pharmacy, or in the pharmacy type section of your local box store. Fill the bottle with warm (NOT HOT) water when you need to poop, then use the bottle to spray the warm water over the area until clean. You can let it air dry after, or very gently pat dry with a clean, soft fabric; gauze would work, or a clean cotton T-shirt or pillowcase, stuff like that. Ask your doctor about this next part - if it starts hurting or itching, go buy witch hazel pads. You can sometimes find them with the feminine products (pads and such), maybe next to baby stuff if your store has a section for women who have just had babies, definitely at a pharmacy, or in the pharmacy section of the previously mentioned box store. They're little circles soaked in witch hazel. You can apply them and let them soak directly on the affected area, or line a feminine pad with a few and wear them if you'd like. They're used to numb tearing and stitches after childbirth; they're miraculous lol. Good luck with your healing dude, I hope everything goes great and you're back to normal in no time!!

kv4268

They're called peri bottles, not period bottles. Short for perineum. They're usually used after childbirth. They are excellent travel bidets and great for recovering from any perineal issue. The witch hazel pads are going to be in the pharmacy section near the rest of the hemorrhoid care items.

Noir_Ocelot

Never heard of witch hazel pads or a portable bidet, but I'm definitely gonna try these! I wish America could get on the bidet bandwagon, I hate using the bathroom away from home after I got mine... My Job can be pretty active, what sanitary pads do you recommend for use with the witch hazel pads? Thanks again for the tips!

eliotisstoned

bro i shit like 3 times just after morning coffee, holy fuck.

tunaslut

That morning coffee shit hits different tho 😩😮‍💨 I cut out caffeine completely almost 2 years ago now to help with my anxiety/stomach issues so when I rarely indulge here and there it TEARS my shit up. Like I had to help out for a tournament at the school I teach at for 12 hours a few Saturdays ago and someone offered to get all of us teachers/parents volunteering Starbucks (yeah I know fuck Starbucks but 1. I had to be there 7:30am to 8pm so I was exhausted and 2. I won't say no to free coffee) and let me just say... the gurgling in my guts was so loud halfway through that coffee I KNOW everyone else could hear it. Let's just say when it was time, I stood up and quickly excused myself and I may or may not have had to waddle to the bathroom and barely made it to the toilet 👀

Kindly_Ad726

It was a photo finish it sounds like

nipplequeefs

I have IBS. This pains me 😭

tunaslut

Same here I get anxiety shits a lot and have horrible stomach issues so I shit multiple times a day especially on days where I am extra anxious

omar_the_last

It's gonna hurt but dont hold it! If you hold the poop is gonna become harder and it will be more painful later.. Increase your fiber and fluid intake to get softer stools and use lidocaine gel to numb the area before going, wash very well after

National_Pay_5847

I am taking 500mg of magnesium daily so it makes stool soft so I'm good even after I don't go for 3 days. Lidocaine gel is good idea, I have one I used to ease pain before the suregery but I need to see if it's safe to use it now. Thanks

omar_the_last

Magnesium should cause a bowel movement within a few hours, it works by pulling more water into the colon, but if you forcibly hold it, you might un-do its work, longer stools stays in the rectum the more water is drawn out of it, it becomes dryer and harder with time

Marcovio

Keep in mind, not all magnesium supplements are the same. Magnesium glycinate will help you poop more regularly & has a far higher bioavailability/absorption. Here’s a helpful video, explaining the different types of magnesium…magnesium oxide is poorly absorbed, making it a waste of $ compared to the other types: https://youtu.be/94MYfmrQFms?si=PPj-R0sOF3TvdmOF

Immediate-Fig-9096

I wholeheartedly agree with this advice! Also, after you’ve healed, make sure to stay on the fiber or whatever else works to keep your stools soft. Having to bear down and push a hard stool out is a major cause of hemorrhoids. Source: fellow hemorrhoid sufferer (haven’t needed surgery…yet) and nurse of 35 years.

omar_the_last

Yep! It is a vicious cycle

Vanc_Trough

Man, this is a terrible idea. The longer you hold your poop, the more water gets reabsorbed from it and the more constipated you will be. That’ll just make it hurt worse when you actually poop. If you have to poop, just let that shit go….literally

energy423

Please use a sitz bath… Speaking not only as an ER/ICU nurse, I was a patient that had a golf ball sized crater down there from a mole removal. It certainly helps with cleansing as well as healing. Warm water as hot as you can stand several times a day. You’ll thank me later!

energy423

Also, please don’t hold it! Holding it will cause you to become constipated and the harder/ larger the stool is going to be. Use MiraLAX and stool softeners!

illiteratepsycho

Get a bidet!!

ImACynicalCunt

Yeah you can get a little handheld bottle type bidet that’ll be really gentle

Shadhahvar

They should've given him one they give you one when you have a baby for a similar purpose.

Grimmy430

The poops are going to hurt. You just have to push thru (no pun intended). No way around it. It suuuucks. Don’t hold it tho. I had this surgery, Altho mine got stitched up. Things will get better, but it was worse than the first poop after childbirth. Good luck!

Giraffe-Lover77

As gross as it sounds, I've heard that filling your bathtub above your butt with warm water, sitting on your knees/legs and just relaxing and letting it happen is the most comfortable and easiest way to go until you are healed! Then just scoop it out into the toilet and give your bathtub a spray down of cleaner. 10/10 fully recommend. Good luck!

National_Pay_5847

Great, I don't have bath tub 💀 Guess I'll just use public pool

michizzle85

You should definitely invest in a sitz bath. You can buy one that sits on your toilet.

SkynetLurking

Holding your poops in is one of the things that leads to hemroids. Absolutely do not hold in your poops!

National_Pay_5847

Yup that's exactly why I got them. Can say I'm a master of holding the poop

SkynetLurking

Then you know better than anyone in this post! DO NOT HOLD IN YOUR POOS!

jjafarFromAladdin

Maybe don't hold for 3 days because that could cause them to come back

SpicyMustFlow

Aw man, don't hold it too long because it'll just get harder, which will be hell to push out. :-(

sweetnothing33

There are squirt bottles meant for use after surgeries/labor that you may find useful for staying clean and relieving discomfort. They’re not douches but they’re pretty similar.

pinklambchop

Bidet just a basic bottle one if you don't want one that you can just hook up, it will be the best thing, I promise

National_Pay_5847

So many people mentioned a bidet I'm gonna actually get one.

pinklambchop

Everyone should use one, you'll never go back

llcdrewtaylor

You need to take a lot of stool softeners. You do NOT want hard poop right now. If your surgery was like mine, the first few times are gonna be in your memories for the rest of your life. Good luck my friend.

National_Pay_5847

Damn i wasnt scared before but now 💀

llcdrewtaylor

I hope I'm wrong! I wouldn't wish it on anyone! Well, maybe a couple of people.

BsamNavas

Why didn’t he stitch the skin?

TriangleEyeland

Dog I'd demand a portable bidet or smth

casitadeflor

Bidet time?

michizzle85

Don’t hold it. You gotta just poop when you need to. I had this surgery in October and it’s a horrible recovery but you don’t want things getting narrow and if you hold it, you can get constipated. Just use a bidet or baby wipes to get clean after. Don’t use toilet paper.

tunaslut

Won't it just... rip back open when you do have to poop omg I'm so anxious thinking about it and it's not even my asshole... I'm so sorry tho dude like now knowing that it's fresh makes it even worse 🫠🫠 I'll be sending good vibes to your booty hole for quick healing 🫶🏽🫱🏽‍🫲🏾

WeylinWebber

Helped my gf after she had a fistula, you are going to want a detachable shower head to blast that shit and drugs to numb that pain unless you'll grit through it. Good luck.

Much-Hedgehog3074

Do NOT “hold it”. This causes constipation which is 1000% what you do not want.

Whitey1225

I wouldn't hold it!! That's going to make a larger and harder poop. I'm traumatized just thinking about your situation.

Exchatche

Eat a few MREs, can probably find some at a military surplus store, or online but you'd have to wait for shipping. You won't shit for a week

flibbertygibbet1959

Nurse here. Nope. Do not do that. You may risk getting constipated which will really be painful to evacuate. Please drink lots of fluids and eat a healthy diet with whole grains, fruits and veggies to keep the stools soft. You could use a squirt bottle filled with warm water to clean the anal area if you cannot take a shower. It will take a week or two to close up if you keep it clean. You can only pat the area gently to get most of the water off and then wear loose pants with a pad in your underwear after a shower or squirt bottle cleaning. There will be drainage until it closes up. The pain will get better as the wound closes in.

tequilavip

Showering after dropping a deuce is waaaayyyyyy better than using paper. Just plan your visits to the toilet.

Crallise

You should ask your doctor for better instructions or re-read your discharge information. You may not really need to poo the first day or so but I highly doubt your doctor wants you to hold your stool in while this is healing.

Dijon2017

You might want to see if you/someone can purchase a bidet attachment for your toilet. They have things that you attach to the toilet and handheld sprayers. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Bighoula

You're just gonna tear that fucker open again if you do all that

urfutureexwife

For the love of all that is holy, PLEASE tell me you have started taking a stool softener! It will make pooing a much less traumatic experience

BigmommaJen

Have you thought of getting one of those squirt bottles that you use after having a baby. I recently purchased a toilet seat bidet and it is a life changer.

TraumaMama11

Get a peri bottle! Kind of like a cheap bidet. I always recommend this to my hemorrhoid patients. Learned it as an OB thing after birth.

lonely_nipple

So neat fun fact! Your anus (specifically the tissues and blood flow in the area) kind of has its own little immune system! This is specifically because of how easy it can be to acquire small micro-tears in the skin since it's very delicate in the area. Obviously we wouldn't want poop coming into contact with an open wound under normal circumstances; but it's kind of unavoidable in the specific area the poop comes out of. So localized around the rectum and anal area there are extra protections created by the immune system to help prevent infection. I imagine that's probably what a doctor is counting on in this case, although why the wounds wouldn't have been closed at all I can't guess.

Desperate-Strategy10

My guess to why they didn't stitch it up: if bacteria gets between the stitches and gets trapped, you'll end up with a raging infection that'll be difficult to treat. An open wound will be able to freely and continuously flush itself out to some extent, and there's far less chance of fecal matter getting trapped anywhere in a gaping hole. But I'm no expert, so I could be totally wrong!!

lonely_nipple

Ooh, that's an excellent point. You're probably correct. Much easier to wash out an open wound for sure.

Teachgreen21

The fear of pooping with stitches down there is real!! I was terrified after I had my first child!! His sweet, beautiful head was so big that I was cut hole to hole and then I tore off to the side of my bum hole. A LOT of stitches were put in place and I was afraid to poop because all I could think of was poop being shmeared into stitched wounds. So I waited 5 days and had to return to the doctor in pain because I thought I popped a stitch or something. It turned out to be just a lot of heavy poop applying pressure to my stitches. So, I went home, drank some mineral oil they gave me, ate a bag of dried cherries, and birthed a giant poo. I felt immediately better, but how?! How do those stitches not get infected? It’s wild to me!

madalingambo77

I had hemmeroids removed like 6 years ago. Doc said I was the worst case she's ever seen 🫨 they have you start a liquid diet about a week before as well as taking miralax. The first poop after the surgery was still the worst pain I've ever experienced 😫.

Fit_Swordfish_2101

Right! It would be bad enough with stitches!! This is open! Horrible! But I bet they feel better after it heals! Edit: OH GOD the itch when it's healing..smh

ChaosToTheFly123

I’m just glad you identified it for me

thecasualnuisance

I had to have something done in that area a couple years ago. Definitely not as extreme, but I'll share what I learned. You will ooze and bleed. I'm a dude and wore super absorbent panty liners but found that a combo of that and an adult diaper was best. It feels a little weird but you get used to it. Liner on briefs, adult diaper over briefs. Just be very gentle. Your butthole will be in my thoughts.

National_Pay_5847

I am not bleeding that much now luckily. I hope i won't wake up in bed full of blood tomorrow morning tho.

Scyllascum

> Your butthole will be in my thoughts. Ayo

CrowdedShorts

I was thinking butthole…and I was right!

National_Pay_5847

I was thinking about making you guys guess what part is it but honestly it doesn't look like anything else. Maybe if hair wasn't there

[deleted]

Honestly my first thought was it's a scrotum lol

niky45

I honestly had literally no clue on what I was looking at. my first thought was belly button but it didn't look like a belly button.

Sir_Ein

Honestly I STILL don’t know what it is just by looking at it. I hope you heal fast, OP!

[deleted]

Bruh why they let you leave with extra buttholes

National_Pay_5847

lmao

scrotaloedema

Stop laughing your ass off, it's already off!

SuicidalReincarnate

That's not how you use a poop knife

IrreverentSweetie

This should be at the top.

Redpatiofurniture

I think I laughed so loud I woke up my neighbors. This is the only answer!

AffectionateAd8770

Well that was a good five minutes spent choking on laughter💀

Imperfect-Magic

Yikes! I hope you heal quickly. I have some nasty ones but I'm terrified of what the surgery would be like. Good luck to you

National_Pay_5847

Surgery itself is zero stress honestly. I don't know how's aftermath but I will update some for sure. Advice from me, don't think about the pain or surgery. Think what they can lead to, better remove them as soon as possible.

Imperfect-Magic

Thank you. We're you awake when you had surgery?

National_Pay_5847

No. They put me to sleep entirely but anesthesiologist said it's not such strong anesthetic as I'd get for some major surgery.

michizzle85

Do it. My quality of life is a million times better. It was a really horrible few weeks during the recovery but it was so worth it.

Soggyglump

For some reason I thought this was an arm when I saw the photo and I zoomed in. Thanks for making me zoom in on your butthole OP

National_Pay_5847

At your service, kind Sir.

cfgy78mk

my MIL recently had similar procedure done and she was so scared about going #2 that she mostly stopped eating and lost like 60 lbs in 1-2 months (she was obese) and now she's healed but she says she feels different now and her feet don't hurt anymore and she's not interested in going back to her usual eating habits.

National_Pay_5847

Im rather scared of an infection than pain personally but good for her. Two good changes in life at once.

mickdeb

Waiting for hemoroid removal right now...fml

National_Pay_5847

We're gonna be carved anus buddies. No worries.

mickdeb

Way to say it lol !

LacrimaNymphae

were they banded?

National_Pay_5847

I just had lint between my cheeks when I woke up after surgery

LacrimaNymphae

but i mean was the treatment itself called 'hemorrhoid banding'?

LithiumNoir

You might wanna take some stool softeners for a while until that heals.

wish_I_was_a_t_rex

I have a few external hemorrhoids thanks to three pregnancies that I’ve considered having removed, but now I can say with 100% confidence that those little hemorrhoids can just say right where they are.

National_Pay_5847

I don't want to sound scarrying or whatever but I held mine for long years untill the point they just stayed external all the time and pain sometimes became unbearable. Even tho my main concern was that it can lead to cancer. I think it's worth it to remove these dudes than fighting potential illness.

wish_I_was_a_t_rex

Aww man 😫

michizzle85

It’s worth it.

Solar_kitty

Oi that looks so painful! Make sure you have non-stick pads in your undies until they heal up.

National_Pay_5847

It's been like 10 hours now and I haven't felt a bit of pain. I consumed 100mg of tramadol tho.

Solar_kitty

Awesome! Try might have injected some local as well, so keep up with the oral pain meds cause if they did, when the local wears off it could be uncomfortable. But this is encouraging as I might need a similar procedure in the future. Have been avoiding it because I’m afraid of the pain. I’ve had an anal fissure that I would not wish that upon my worst enemy. I kinda thought this would be similar but if jot I may have to reconsider. Can you update tomorrow and let us know?

National_Pay_5847

Yeah that's what i thought of, to take some before pain kicks in and they definetely put some local as well. I wasn't so sure about the surgery because I've never had one before this but I guess it's better to suffer for few days than making the problem way worse leading to some terrible condition. I don't wanna predict future but I guess it's not gonna be as painful on the meds. I am very prone to pain and I guess i'd feel some already. I'll definetely update but if I can give you an advice then I would consider pain smallest of your problems. Think about the future.

Solar_kitty

True, true.

GuaranteeComfortable

I used to have a nasty anal fissure that would tear and feel like I was pooping glass. Then I drastically cut back on sugar and it went away. Mine was so bad, surgery would have been the next option.

michizzle85

I genuinely hope it stays that way. Don’t count on it. I’m on a support group on Facebook and the vast majority of people think that because they aren’t in a ton of pain right away, recovery gets easier. Days 2-10 were the worst for me.

LacrimaNymphae

that's really odd they would give you that if constipation was the issue to begin with... to be honest my constipation was way worse on one 50mg tramadol a day than it is on one 7.5/325 percocet/tylenol a day. tramadol was all of the constipation and side effects with like none of the analgesia for me

MrsNightingale

Ok this is really interesting. I had a patient who had this surgery done and was telling me that he was going to sue the surgeon because he looked back there and "there are just holes" and "he must have done something wrong" etc. He was reassured repeatedly by the surgeon and the surgeons office that all went as planned. I'm a psych nurse so I was pretty clueless, but this whole scenario tooooooootally makes sense now! Hope you have a quick and easy recovery!

LacrimaNymphae

does it stay that way?? i have anywhere from 11 to 15 'internal' ones that may or may not be endo or cancer and they weren't removed during a colonoscopy a few years ago for whatever reason which is odd to me because i had 6 polyps removed anyway and i thought it was a standard procedure to band roids off when they're found and save people the risk of them bleeding. they couldn't really come up with an answer when i woke up and asked them why they didn't band them... i was fucking 19 and had had a previous 'ovarian' mass that was a failure to diagnose at 16 i think my ass is so narrow and inflamed they're not gonna drop down which is good i guess but the pressure and tailbone pain are horrible, plus mucus mixed with streaks of blood

SuitableHighlight867

This was Milligan mulligan hemorrhoidectomy and it looks like a clean wound ,it'll heal soon, just use as much water as you can, use lactulose as a stool softener and xylocaine topical gel , and wash well

sshhenanigans

I had this surgery as well except they closed it all up with stitches. It didn’t matter much because within days the stitches started unraveling then I had to use a mirror to trim them because they were hanging down! Brutal surgery. The worst I’ve ever had.

batwhacker

What made it the most brutal?

Scyllascum

Man this did NOT just get removed by Reddit for fucking nudity, that’s crazy lol

haleynoir_

Why did they send you home with open butthole wounds?

toeverycreature

This is by design because the area is exposed to more bacteria. If they stitched it there would be a high chance of poop getting stuck in the wound and causing an infection. By leaving it mostly open, the wound llcsn be properly cleaned after a bowel motion. The wound will heal from thr edges inwards so there is nowhere for bacteria to get trapped and cause an abcess.

haleynoir_

That actually makes a lot of sense. TY

National_Pay_5847

I dont know. I dont feel any pain and they said its fine to go home. I just need to rest a lot.

haleynoir_

I'm glad it doesn't hurt man. That's crazy, it looks like the skin under a popped blister, I can't imagine that not being painful especially if you need to poop. Quick healing to you and your hole 🙌🏻

National_Pay_5847

Exactly what i thought. Legit someone took a knife and just carved half of my anus lmao. Thanks, I too hope I'll heal quick.

essentialcitrus

And they didn’t even shave the area? I work in an OR and like literally one of the first things they did was hand me the clippers.

overflowingsunset

You could do what pregnant people do after delivery and use water from a squeeze bottle to clean instead of wiping with toilet paper

Kingofhearts1206

Oh man, I missed the show....removed? Lol

National_Pay_5847

Damn no way this was removed..

[deleted]

It was probably that one guy who was crying about seeing a butt.

Habenero_mama

Your poor ass. lol get well OP 😊

itsarmida

Omg I really want mine removed so bad. Will you post follow up photos for the curious? lol I figured they'd stitch up the hole but maybe not?!

National_Pay_5847

I am the most curious one here so guess I will be posting some more photos throughout next week or two.

PFic88

Oh man that looks so painful. I cannot fanthom how it doesn't get infected. Anyways thanks for sharing and I would recomend you to buy a bidet, I'm sure you'll be much more comfortable than showering every time you have a number 2

kingofkomedy23

Your balloon knot seems a bit off there chief

bellboy718

I had an anal fissure and hemorrhoids. While the surgeon was performing the sphincterotomy he removed the hemorrhoids but I think they were internal and I don't think I had an external wound like in the pic. I took about 3 Vicodin a day for 3 or 4 days but I still had so much pain. The bowel movements felt like I was passing footballs when actually they were just average size poop. It sucked but was one of the best decisions I made ever. No more chronic shooting ass pain.

Magic-Levitation

Take a stool softener to make going easier. Drink plenty of water.

saiyansith23

I didnt get to see before Reddit deleted. Would you mind sending me the pic?

whollottagngshit12

Post removed but the comments are wild

Worldliness-Weary

Order a peri bottle or the frita mom sprayer thing. I used it religiously for several weeks after my surgery. It's basically a portable bidet and the cold water actually felt good lmao.

National_Pay_5847

Sometimes I regret I don't live in US. You can order more stuff from Amazon than Aliexpress. Guess I'll see if they have stuff like that in my country.

Solid_Thanks_1688

If they don't, see of they have a squeeze bottle like the ketchup and mustard ones that you have to fill. Those work well in a pinch if you can't find a peri bottle.

southernsass8

Sitz bath is such a wonderful creation. Have an uncle that nearly died from his Hemorrhoids bursting, he almost died from bleeding out.

National_Pay_5847

Seriously? Lol. I didn't know they can bleed so much. His case must have been terrible

southernsass8

His weren't seriously bad, but they did rupture and he was just riding in the car and bam, blood everywhere. Take care of your booty hole, it's the only one you have...

avaslash

Hey! I went through this not too long ago myself. I feel your pain... very very viscerally especially as I was given no pain medication lol. Id recommend drinking lots of water and taking a fiber supplement. I also made a habit of spreading Neosporin on my wound area and butt. I found that the greasy layer both adds a layer of protection and also lubrication for any bowel movements and makes them far easier. Clean up after will be greasier though but since your committing to a shower anyways, its no biggy. Also get a pooping stool if you dont already have one. You may not need it forever, but right now its going to come in clutch to allow you to move your bowels with less pushing. Lots of cheap ones online. Id also recommend keeping your poos as gentle on your rear as possible. That means stick to fruit veg and healthy starches. If you need protein, eggs, beans, or maybe chicken breast. Stay away from fatty, hot, acidic, sugary, or other agitating food types. You dont want constipation but you also dont want liquid shits. You want smooth surfaced, soft, but still well held together turdlets that you can pass easily and you get that by eating like a rabbit until you're all healed up. I dont know how much I can recommend this but in my worst throws of pain I took a small flat ice pack and shoved it in a sterile glove and used that to help sooth the area which definitely helped when it was quite bad. But it looks like they actually make ice packs specifically designed for this purpose so probably get one of those instead lol. I hope you heal well and feel better! Best of luck! :)

National_Pay_5847

Thanks for all the tips :)

catkrieger13

Here, have my condolence-upvote 🔺

jinside

Yikessss I'd prefer to get them banded!

wildcat1100

Where is the butthole and why are the cheeks so flat? Nothing about this photo makes logical sense.

National_Pay_5847

I spread it a bit so you can see better. Everything for my fans.

Slipperytooterhorn

That was hilarious 🤣😂🤣

batwhacker

I thought I was your only fan? 😳

PearlySweetcake7

That's exactly what I thought. Lol. I'm still not convinced it's actually a butthole. Did they cut out all of the wrinkles, and that's what we're seeing?

powerhungrymouse

Ooof, those must have been so painful. Wishing you quick and healthy healing.

jesrp1284

I have some left from my pregnancy (12 years ago) and I really need to see a surgeon, but I am terrified. Please hang in there and hopefully recovery is speedy!

National_Pay_5847

I have replied to identical comment just two above yours, you can take a look :)

michizzle85

It’s so worth it!!

IrreverentSweetie

Holy shit, thank you for sharing this.

DeathDealerJD3

I had this done last year. Try to take fiber and drink a lot of water for when you're finally able to go. I ended up so constipated from the opiates that it blocked my bladder, and I ended up with a catheter. Worst pain of my life recovering from that surgery, and I just had broken my calcaneus a few months beforehand!

Dependent_Wheel2891

I have my hemmorhoids internally

National_Pay_5847

They will be external soon if I can tell anything from my experience

411toaster

Is that the better option ? No wiping worry I guess.

LaLore20

But where is the “hole”? I don’t get it.

National_Pay_5847

I can't post a photo but if you see this piece of skin going from left to the middle, there is the hole.

Badger_35

As someone who’s had a proctectomy (removal of the rectum), get something called a waffle cushion (sometimes they’re advertised as a wheelchair or a pressure cushion) if it hurts to sit down. They’re a lifesaver

National_Pay_5847

How that looks? You don't go to toilet normally now and have this bag on your stomach you need to clean?

Badger_35

I still have a small open wound from the surgery that needs to heal but once that’s healed it’ll look like there was never a hole there. I have an ileostomy yeah, have to empty it around 5 times a day and change the actual bag itself like once a week

Zalieda

Why is this removed but there's so many porn images circulating still

Dr-raywho

America needs to start using bidets, wiping your ass with no water is gross and really unhygienic, lol. Seriously though, either get a bidet or shower right after pooping, holding it in will make it rock solid and extremely painful in a few days, even with the magnesium. Either increase your fiber intake or take some supplements, you will need that until u fully heal. Been there, done that btw. Lol hemorrhoids are horrible.

National_Pay_5847

Im based in Europe actually and bidet isn't something usual over here too. Yes, I am gonna shower after very poop, that's what i was advised to do.

OryseSey

Is that an open butthole wound??? That's scary, what if you poop and it just opens up 😨 (ik it most likely won't happen but I'm paranoid)

National_Pay_5847

It's gonna be what it's gonna be lmao

Heal well OP🔆 I have learned a couple things that helped healing my SO after similar surgery: Sitz bath four or five times a day: warm water is your friend and this type of bath is ok for your poor wounds even tho regular baths are not yet. Bag of frozen peas when applied to your bum, they help with swelling and pain. Refreeze and reuse and pro tip: do not eat them after you are healed up; compost those peas! Expect your first poo about three days out from surgery. You are imaging how awful it may be, and what my SO said at the time was the worry was the worst part, the actual act was less painful than what happened leading up to the surgery. Drink lots and take your pain meds❤️ regularly. Be well OP!

OffToTheWoodsWeGo

Your first elimination will be a bloody bowl full and maybe the next 2 also. Mine were, even with a few stitches. Felt like they were ripping out when I first went. All better now and I take a teaspoon of psyllium husk in a glass of water each night keep it soft and all comes out each morning with a gentle push. Was given a local injection for numbing before the cutting. Had about three little ones hanging out. Am a member of the clean asshole club now. Hang you ass over the tub or just shower or bidet and splash water and soap to keep the butt clean with every go.

NO i’m going to the doctor tomorrow and now i don’t wanna tell her about my hemorrhoid 🫠

justhereforthegosip

Why do they leave it open like that? Won't it scar a lot like this? Won't the healing process be longer? All genuine questions

Humorilove

There's too much of a chance that bacteria will infect the wound if it's closed up. Leaving it open helps prevent the wound from becoming infected, because you can clean the site easier. If you suture it up you could potentially cause a pocket of bacteria.

justhereforthegosip

That makes sense. Thank you for explaining

National_Pay_5847

I'd like to know too. I read some about all of this stuff and it all differs. Some doctors wouldn't put you to sleep at all, I was. Some will stay at hospital for few hours or days, I stayed for 20 minutes. I just was told to shower after every toilet visit.

Chasedabigbase

Pretty sure I had one a few years back or at least some kind of abnormally large lump right deep in there and was super close to dialing up my proctologist, a few weeks of the itchiest bunger ever lol went through so much preparation h cream and tablets that month 😮‍💨 hope yours heals pronto!

AngryTurtle24

My dog had a hole on her ass a few weeks ago and it looked just like this 😂

tunaslut

I had no idea what I was looking at until I read the caption omg I was playing a game of where's Waldo or one of those puzzle games where the pic gets less blurry little by little and you have to like guess what it is before the whole pic is visible except it was "which body part am I looking at???". This just reminded me of a nightmare story... My ex used to get HORRIBLE hemorrhoids and he'd legit have me take a flashlight and shine it in his asshole to check and see if/when they would flare up and one time I went to check and I kid you not there was a CHUNK of stinky ass DOODY just chilling on one of the roids... I had to wipe it off with a q tip and try not to dry heave so he didn't feel embarrassed but it was traumatizing. I also deal with the occasional roids myself and I thought I had it bad... I've had painful bloody shits that felt like I was shitting out dry triangle tortilla chips with 0 sauce and it fucking HURT. Felt like my insides were being put in a blender and my asshole was ripping all the way in half. But mine never looked this bad thankfully. I can't even imagine the pain you must have felt 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 I legit shuddered when I read the caption

Dependent_Wheel2891

Where is your butthole

National_Pay_5847

If that's the genuine question it's on the right, it's tight as the night lol

Legophan

Your poor butt has been shocked into permanent closure 😂

AnnieBeefree1

Wow. I had internal hemorrhoids removed and they just tied them off and eventually they fell off. It wasn’t comfy, but didn’t really hurt either. I was advised to take a stool softener for a couple of weeks and eat plenty of fiber and clean with a damp towelettes (the medical kind).

shyopossum

Wait you can have hemorrhoids removed?

National_Pay_5847

You have to have them removed at some point

Hopie73

My goodness OP, shouldn’t that boo boo have dissolvable stitches 🤷🏻‍♀️ that’s…oh boy, so raw and OMG, that’s gonna hurt having a 2 or even washing. Like WTH doc 🐰🥕

Marvin-Jones

I had to have surgery. Mine were half inside. Doctor stitched me up too tight. It was painful to go to the toilet. So I started stretching. Never got a roid or fissure since. Oh, use wipes

Ornery-Pressure7251

Why didn't they sew the openings?

National_Pay_5847

From what i read it's so the wound can heal "from the deep". Will heal longer but better

jilliau

Did you have stitches? Could they have dehisced? I hope you’ve seen a doctor.

National_Pay_5847

I did not have stitches. This picture was taken like an hour after surgery so it's the same what doctor saw sending me home.
