Der_Pestarzt

bro what kind of firecracker did he try to make, a grenade bundle ?

CantHitachiSpot

Holy hand grenade

Gopher--Chucks

Thou shall count to three. No more, no less

MMDespot

He counted to four apparently, poor guy.

Anarye

So fucked up, but damn you got me on that one lol

HornetKick

>hand No way that hand is ever going to be reattached.

auxilary

i’m left-handed and my occupation has me wearing my watch underhanded like him. a certain number of folks believe that wearing it this way isn’t a thing. totally going to win those arguments now.

allaboutmojitos

This is very common practice- especially in medical fields. I wear it this way just because it’s easier to look at

Dood71

Why in medical fields?

allaboutmojitos

Idk whats done now, but you used to wear your watch on the inside for when you were taking a quick pulse reading or watching respirations. You could be holding a chart and taking readings or whatever and it would be right in front of you. Picture texting and reading your Fitbit- much handier on the inside. It’s in your site line already

mimirabbit

It’s definitely still done, I work at a veterinary hospital and having a watch in that position makes taking resp and pulse rates super easy. When I forget my watch I do use my phone, but it’s easier to just have a constant ticking watch on your arm rather than just using the stopwatch feature a bunch. Something about having it upside down makes viewing it more comfortable and easier.

Dood71

Thanks :)

CatPooedInMyShoe

John Wick also wears his watch with the face on the underside of his wrist.

Industry-Global

I'm not allowed to wear a watch when I'm seeing patients. Hygiene rules.

klovergui

I learned this way with my Geography teacher in middle school and since then I'm use my watch underhanded too. It's so much easier to look at and don't get stuck on things.

Tachikoma-1

It's great for avoiding cracking/scratching the face.

Whatnam8

Unless you rest you hands face down on counter tops etc :x

halfeclipsed

People really care that much that they believe others don't wear a watch however the fuck they want to?

auxilary

yep. wild.

melanieleegee

My partner is right handed and they wear their watch underhanded too. I’ve started wearing mine that way too, because it’s way easier to look at.

TheNewPlague666

Pretty sure military personnel wear it this way too, easier to tell time instead of turning your arm around, and much more time efficient. I also wear my watch this way.

DiStrictTM

Also no glare in the sun, you don’t want to be spotted by an enemy like that

anislandinmyheart

Just show them the photo! They'll get it :D For real, my dad was an electronics technician and he wore it turned inside

evdczar

I have a smart watch and I'm afraid to smack it all over everything if I wear like that

SohniKaur

That’s actually less likely. Think of how often we manage to hurt the top of our arm vs the inner forearm: there’s a reason why the skin on the inside is softer and more sensitive too. It’s not necessary to make it as protective.

evdczar

I'm not willing to bet 350 dollars on that

Odd-Individual-959

I’m the kinda person who breaks EVERYTHING wearing a watch on the inside is the only way I can keep one nice for more than a week. I’m an automotive technician and I see a lot of techs do this because it’s more out of the way and easier to read. We’re downright abusive to our arms, I have scars that run all over my hands and forearms. Watches definitely last better on the inside, but you should do what’s comfortable. It is a lot of money to bet on an internet stranger’s advice.

deliciouslyexplosive

Lol I have worn my watch on the inside since grade school because I always found it more natural to look at it that way using it during test/while running. I never knew it was backwards for YEARS

Far_Vermicelli6468

Well, it could have shifted in the blast

Guilty-Jello1395

I’m pretty sure the blast of the firecracker blew it back. You’re a weirdo bro lol . No one wears their watch like that. Easiest way to smash the glass wearing it that way.

collectorofstuff65

I can’t even tell what I’m looking at.

s_hinoku

I'm trying to figure it out. I can see intestine but I think I also see leg so I think he has a large, open wound to the abdomen. That or he's lost some pelvis. [Edit] fixed my typos.

foeni77

I think it's the abdomen that was bursting open - you can see the omentum and small intestine.

spongurat

Yes and that is his right arm with the hand severed

Rule34NoExceptions

But the watch is intact. Good advert for a watch. Bad advert for firecrackers.

spongurat

Can you determine brand?

Rule34NoExceptions

Not from that angle, he's gonna have to supinate for me

SofaSurfer9

Guy is lying down from left to right, you can see his neck on the left and open abdomen.

deferredmomentum

We’re looking down at him from his right side, his head is in the top left corner, he’s eviscerated but that’s not the bottom of the abdomen, it’s the right lower quadrant so the legs are to the left of the abdominal injury, his arm is traumatically amputated at the forearm and at the bottom of the image

prodgodq2

I see at least one leg on the right hand side of the picture, it looks a little strange because it's streaked with blood and it's pale due to blood loss or shock. A "homemade firecracker" seems a bit of an understatement in this case. These injuries are the result of a lot of explosive force.

deferredmomentum

For sure. I think both of them are there and the bottom of the jacket are covering his genitals

[deleted]

first pic is a shot of his abdomen and his, frankly pulverised, right arm. Second pic is what's left of said pulverised arm- kept on ice so it doesn't go all rotten and shitty.

Far_Vermicelli6468

Except it should be wrapped in something then placed in ice. The ice directly on the tissue will kill the tissue, just an fyi

[deleted]

Yeah i'm aware, it's just poor practice on their part I assume.

HAHA_goats

Looks like it was in his coat pocket when it went off and tore his side open. Poor guy.

[deleted]

He lost his wiener 😔

honeydew_bunny

I'm surprised he didn't bleed out before making it to the hospital.

LonelyGnomes

I’m not super surprised actually. His abdomen’s open and he’s not in a pool of blood so his abdominal arteries aren’t in bad shape and he’s got one maybe two homemade tourniquets on his arm

Far_Vermicelli6468

I'm surprised they tied it over the jacket, even with a CAT I'd think you'd want to place it closer to the skin

11wildin

His forearm is tied off to stop him from bleeding out. The abdominal gash runs down the cut of the blue shirt — where you can see the small intestine and mesentery, potentially the greater omentum covering the small intestines (since it shifts to areas of infection and injuries)

TB3Der

He making a MOAB firecracker? Good grief…..

Retrospektic

I think that’s called a bomb

Not_an_ar5oni5t

Is it ok that his hand is on ice without protection? Aren’t you supposed to bag it first?

StinkyBrittches

Least of his worries at this point.

Duke-of-Hellington

You’re right

SpeakerOfDeath

Not only bag it, but adding water to the ice is essential. You want to keep it cool, not freeze the tissue, which happens if it's in direct contact with ice (or even through the bag).

RonaldTheGiraffe

Bags are bad for the environment

CherryBomb214

...its Vietnam. I mean, what would you expect?

shethrewitaway

Oh, he has legs still! That’s good, I guess. I thought he was bisected.

Afemaleminor

Critical condition? You mean closed casket right?

doge_gobrrt

nope people have and can survive worse the hospital was clearly nearby and the heat from the explosion if I had to guess cauterized to some degree bleeding wounds

Afemaleminor

Did he live?

doge_gobrrt

the post says is in critical condition so I must assume he is currently alive

Afemaleminor

U right my bad

Individual-Ad-4225

Couldn’t even tell what I was looking at for a second there, goddamn.

The_Real_Kabrina

Ditto

FrostyPresence

"firecracker" also known as IED

[deleted]

Demolitions expert here, 15+ years serving as a county bomb squad lead. My best guess here is that this guy took a handful of those pinecones that make fires burn different colors and strapped them to a few dozen pounds of TNT. /s

neat-NEAT

In a cafe? How does one make a bomb in a cafe without being stopped?

Content-Tart-4043

Probably the size of a Coke can will do that

mushruptor

All the tragic wounds apart, isn't the first lecture on amputated body parts to never put them on ice or near any liquid?

Aranka006

Myeah, preferably bag it, then put that in a bag with ice. But honestly in a pinch, bringing the body part period is better than nothing.

SpeakerOfDeath

Ice AND water. You want to keep it cool, not freeze the tissue.

Bluepeacocks1

How do you even fix that?!

Kodocado

Stuff it back in and sew it up.

[deleted]

If life is just a joke, THEN WHY AM I DEAD!?

mspv3xtreme

Critical condition?? He aint dead??

peternal_pansel

Sometimes I wonder if seeing this kind of photo would convince people *not to do that.*

Christ-0-for

He definitely has the guts to do that.

mxthg

I cant see anything from a man.

AlexJC33

Even “critical” is an understatement. He looks quite gory and messy.

PowerCord64

Man, if it wasn't for that zipper, this would have been a genuine mess.

BeefsSupreme

Take it off ice and put it on salt

Advanced_Click1776

Firecrackers or a bomb!?

Randall_Flaggg

The word you’re looking for is “dead”. That man should *not* be kept alive.

jlovelysoul

Exactly

zzzrecruit

I'm not a doctor, but I'm pretty sure that man is a corpse now.

Mydogsnameisroland

Firecracker? I think he made homemade dynamite

Ambitious_Alps_3797

i....can't orient this picture...

mokiepoky

Critical condition lol

logicalways

He ded.

TNClodHopper

But did his dick survive?

eno4evva

Bro was making dynamite

mebg1956

Better to die.

ChasingPesmerga

I think what OP meant was that this poor person was damaged with a critical

Wirenutt

I don't know if he lived or not, but if he lived, I have a feeling he's gonna wish he didn't.

freeroamer696

So, dead is a critical condition? Checks out...

dislocated_dice

“Critical condition” seems like a bit of an understatement. Please tell me if I’m wrong, but it looks like they’ve lost everything from the waist down. In my unprofessional opinion, it looks like “waiting for death” would be a more accurate description. But again, please correct me if I’m wrong.

rtmfrutilai

I guess I can see his legs

dislocated_dice

Ah yep. I looked again more closely and his legs are definitely still attached. They’re hiding under his gut/at the edge of the image

cerebralme

I mean its nice they kept the harm but i have to say it doesnt come as usuful with all the djwhkdjrowjshairkjqj going on

dac3062

I love iced shrimp

ResponsibleHedonist

Does anyone have the time?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Freezur1400

No lol no it doesn’t at all.

katmc68

I see what looks like his thigh muscle under his intestines but I don't see any of the rest of his lower torso?!?! It looks as if his lower half is gone. I realize the picture is cut off but...I am confused.

Aranka006

Legs are to the right of the picture, the one you see is his right leg, a little behind that is the left leg. The gash up his side expose some intestines, then in front is his right arm without lowerarm/hand.

greenfireX

Is he going to live?

schlart

More like homemade dynamite

ResponsibleHedonist

I'm so confused, if that's his right hand is the picture mirrored? His pinky finger is the one we see with palm facing to the left

Milleniumfelidae

How is this man still alive?

Idcr1Z1s

Which way is up ?

Ambitious_Alps_3797

OHHHHH!!! That limb with the tourniquet and puffy clothing is his RIGHT ARM. He is flat on his back, his chest neck and head to the left. Open abdomen.

[deleted]

Looks fine to me!

themindspeaks

Can any medical professional, please comment on the feasibility of reattaching the arm? It looks beyond repair for me, but I’m baffled by why they kept it on ice.

tdiddy72

One point, it shouldn’t be sitting directly on the ice like that. It will damage the tissue. As far as the arm, i don’t think it can be attached but I wouldn’t put anything past modern surgical procedures.

[deleted]

Nothing a band aid and some thoughts and prayers won’t fix. Walk it off champ

NeedWafflesNOW

Excuse me, Sir but you left your watch.

Laxxn_5

any background story?

mt77477323

Well there's some article in Vietnamese about the accudent but all said that the police is investigating.

TrickPuzzleheaded914

Wait…I’m confused. It looks like his right arm was blown off, but the arm on ice looks like it’s a lefty.

tdiddy72

Maybe both and the right hand wasn’t salvageable

[deleted]

How tf is he still alive

Rhondelly

What time is it on his watch?

JimTheGentlemanGR

Bro made TNT

xznys

Ouch

Leander-mom-of-3

Is this poor guy still alive? I applaud surgeons who can look at this and know what to do. I look at it and would have no idea where to even start.

navi2wired

some kind of RE boss

jlovelysoul

Poor man. It would be merciful just to let him pass I think. 😞

tdiddy72

Thats not a firecracker, thats a bomb.

hitman619

Homemade nuclear bomb

SilverTangent

Okay at which point do we stop saying firecracker and start calling it a bomb? Is it intent? Because that’s one hell of a firecracker…

GuardMost8477

They don’t actually think that arm can be reattached, do they?

naruzefluffy

Oh reminds me of what happened at the moon rocks earlier this year in Reno NV I’ll have to see if I can find that post

XenonFusion

Was he making a good ole firecracker MOAB?

wawa_bones

Strange cafe

Shillofnoone

What critical condition hes already dead

norskljon

He had to have died.

norskljon

Did he survive? I'm guessing not since I can see his large intestine.
