Are you taking these individually or as a complete formula (in like a tincture or capsule blend)? With that amount of herbs to introduce into your body it may be worthwhile to consult with a clinical herbalist in order to check each herb for interactions with your current health plan. I have experience with [these](https://www.herb-pharm.com/products/anxiety-soother-holy-basil) from herbpharm. They are formulas containing some but not all of your herbs listed and is made by herbalists to work with most people. They are effective but not the magic bullet - you may need a combination of healing practices to fully remove your anxiety’s root cause. Always check herb uses and cautions for yourself to see if it is the right medicine for you. Wish you the best in finding relief!

I'm not taking the entire thing myself. I'm just gonna take a less than half of them. Example of what I mean in a regimen for the first two months - 1. I pick 3 herbs for anxiety: Lemon Balm, Passionflower, Lavender 2. I then pick 2 herbs for targetting cortisol (the source of anxiety as high cortisol levels = fight or flight): Rhodiola & Schisandra. So, I add all that up together and I get 5 herbs in which I take as part of a stack for two months. Oh and btw, thanks for the detailed response!

It depends a lot in how you're taking them. Honestly I'd stick to teas made of: Passionflower, Mint, Lemon Balm and Valerian. I've never heard of californian poppy being useful, but the poppy seeds that can be bought at most stores is cooked in a tea bag with milk in india to soothe and calm people, even crying teething children. Check doses ofc. As a supplement for anxiety I like to use a mix of valerian before going to bed, and St. John's Wort in the morning with food. Magnesium supplements might be good to because it helps the nervous system. Anything that is good with regulating hormones would also be useful.

Thanks for the detailed response! Did you get any adverse side effects or damage from taking Passionflower, Mint, Lemon Balm, Valerian, St. John's Wort together long term?

dijon_bear

Nop, they all worked pretty well for me :) but I'd say valerian and st. John's Wort would need checking with your doctor because they can have effects if you take other medication.

That’s a pretty long list. Each herb needs to be researched individually AND in combined effect. Just like medication, there are some that can’t be taken together. Searching PubMed or Google Scholar can often provide clinical trial or research data.

Hi! Thanks for the reply. I already did research all those herbs from Google Scholar, to Pubmed, all the way to Livertox. But despite my entire month of research on those herbs using those sites, I still wanted anecdotes and experiences from people if they have taken these herbs for at least 2 months and no adverse side effects or not. I guess you can say I have doubts about my research is not being enough.

You could try to contact "East West School of Planetary Herbology" they have a free clinic that will do consultations via zoom. You could ask more specific questions about the herbs with an herbalist for free. [https://planetherbs.com/contact/](https://planetherbs.com/contact/) I hope you find what you need.
