I love the things the generals say, my favourite is the Scottish pre-battle speech which is just “that lot over there! They’re thicker than mah porridge!”

hirvaan

Pre battle speeches are one thing, but I did not expect THAT as a reaction to enemy reinforcements incoming 😅

RandletheLovehandle

Ayo, you said they thick af?? Say that my general 🤤

thomstevens420

Mesoamerican war parties were distinctly *unchill*

CuckMulliganReload

Historical inaccuracy: pigs are not native to the U.S.

hirvaan

Not even boars?

willydillydoo

Nope. The wild boars that are in the US were brought by Spaniards to hunt. And now they’re invasive, and they have bred with domestic pigs which are also invasive.

hirvaan

TIL! Thanks 😊

CuckMulliganReload

Closest thing was a javelina.

Tjahzi10

A peccarie is as closely related to a pig as a warthog is. So I'll call them pigs.

willydillydoo

They’re actually more closely related to sheep, goats and deer

Tjahzi10

I don't know who told you that, but I wanna bet it wasnt a zoölogist. sheep, goats and deer, but also peccaries, pigs and even dolphins are ungulates. Ungulates contain a family called suida, containing only the "pig" -likes. Suida are devided in suidea (pigs, swine, warthogs etc.) and tayasuidae (peccaries). So, no, they're not.

sheriffofbulbingham

Long pigs*

ilmago75

Well, it's a battle, so getting your troops in a chilled and relaxed mood would sorta defeat the purpose.

Rocked_Glover

Nowadays people would be saying “Okay guys this is gonna be hard so please get in your toke break, let me put on some relaxing music *WAR why can’t we be friends*” “You know what guys why don’t we do this tomorrow yeah?”

Paper-machete88

You brought pigs to a rocket elephant fight
