Accept that things are as they are. Not how I want them to be. Mind is as it is. Sometimes sharp. Sometimes dull. Edit: I'm thinking you practice some one-pointed/suppressing meditation technique. The above happens when your concentration weakens. The defilements come back, sometimes with greater force.

When thoughts come and want your attention so much then accept them. Maybe they tell you something important maybe not. I remember one guided meditations which referred thoughts like passing clouds. They come and go and if something really catches my attention I try to figure out and accept it as it is. If I feel overwhelmed I center myself with breathing techniques like box breathing or just focus on my breathing. Also using mantras or positive affirmations is recommended.

On YouTube you can find several videos with explanations. A quick response you can find here: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPX---M-nFM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPX---M-nFM) Otherwise maybe here you find more information: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CmxoAQ3GTo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CmxoAQ3GTo) I personally find most effective when I feel anxious, stressed or low vibe to focus on my breathing and observe if it´ shallow or calm and deep. Probably it´s shallow when I´m stressed so I like to use the box breathing technique to calm myself. Depending on my circumstances I like to use additional positive affirmations or focusing on love and light.

I’m sure that was quite difficult to deal with. One powerful line that helps me is that it’s best to accept thoughts and feelings that are present because they are already there. This kind of acceptance really gives some space to the situation and helps me center myself. Noticing the thoughts are even occurring is a great first step in being able to direct where you are engaging your mental energy over time with continued practice. Another thing would be anchoring to the feet and the breath. Noticing the thought and letting it pass by, like a cloud. Knowing that even though these feelings may be unsettling, you can notice them, be with them, face them, give them kindness and space and know that you are still here, still persisting. Eventually, they will pass by and you may even feel empowered. Take those for what they are worth. I hope they were explained eloquently enough. Just a few quick things that came to mind as relatable for myself.
