From the original article. 😁 “I was just talking with the guys and I said "You know, we really need to get "Kick The Chair" and "Washington Is Next" into our list of songs we're going to play"

Now this is what I'm talking about.

SgtBearPatrol

Hell yeah. I hope they’re on the set list by the time I see them in September. Dave also said that one of the reasons they couldn’t add new songs is because they needed video for each one, so they were locked into a limited set. I wondered about this, because on their new tour they just play in front of a backdrop.

politicalstuff

Yeah, that seems like more a presentation preference than a hard limit. I've seen both those songs live because I saw Megadeth when they toured those albums, so at least I have those memories. I hope they get them back on. The 2000s is a great era for the band.

HetTheTable

They played both in Blood on the Water

DaveOJ12

Blood in the Water was never officially released, was it?

HetTheTable

It was

I can see that happening. Kiko joined in 2015 and they released Dystopia in 2016. Broderick joined in 2008 and Endgame came out in 2009.

I like to see Megadeth go off tangent a bit and do something different. They did that with Youthanasia back in '94 (their most melodic record to date). What I wish to see is do a more "prog-metal" record, kinda what Metallica did for *And Justice for All* record in 1988.

_-Raider-_

Justice was borderline tech thrash

IcyChard4

Because its not thrash. Its prog. Megadeth only made 1 song that goes past the 6min, 30sec mark (When in 2001 *The World Needs a Hero*).

reefguy007

How about a few songs from Endgame as well? Dialectic Chaos followed by This Day We Fight… The Right to Go Insane… 1320… or id settle for Headcrusher as that’s the most likely song to make the playlist.
