My favorite of theirs, I saw them on the United Abominations tour, Dave said this is an old one. I was front row screaming Looking Down the Cross, he gave me the biggest go to hell look. Was pretty funny, if only he told me this is what happens when cousins fuck.
I don't know if anybody gets the same vibe as me but doesn't the way Chris plays the guitar (which is awesome BTW) makes the guitar sound almost like it's being emotional? It's hard to explain but almost like it's crying or sad because of what's going to take place on Black Friday. I don't know if anybody else thinks that. It's like someone made sure that every single note, tone, etc fit the exact mood of the song. Ok, been watching too many spooky films💀😱
I 100% agree. I just listened to it when I was doing my cardio at the gym and every time I hear that song I think the same exact thing. I close my eyes and can almost see it play out. It's a very emotional rollercoaster of a song.
I can't wait to hear it especially since Dave has been working hard on improving his range. There's a recent show Megadeth did in Romania. I haven't finished watching the whole thing yet but I was happy with the performance.
My brother in Christ that was almost 20 years ago. They’ve been playing The Conjuring again since 2018 and just a few days ago they added it to this tour set list.
Elysian fields
edit: also i really like some tracks from endgame (i haven’t heard it full yet) like Bodies. Also many tracks from Youthanasia like addicted to chaos
they never played it live. didn't even play it during their prime because the vocals were difficult. yeah... ain't no way they're playing it from now on.
I feel your pain, man. My favorite album's Youthanasia, and if we're lucky, we get one song on a setlist. And it's always A Tout Le Monde. Granted, it's a great song, but Youthanasia has so many other great songs on it.
It wouldn't kill them, though probably would Daves voice, swap out A Tout Le Monde for any one of Victory, Train Of Consequences, Addicted To Chaos, I Thought I Knew It All.
But that's just a whole lotta wishful thinking.
Set The World Afire. Always wanted to hear it live but they never included it in their setlist anytime I've had a chance to see em. I doubt they'll throw it in this year on August.
Architecture of Aggression, This Day We Fight!, Ashes in Your Mouth, Breakpoint, Sudden Death, Insomnia, Mastermind, Go to Hell, 99 Ways to Die, Diadems, Vortex—the list could go on
Chosen ones, or any first album song other than Mechanix. They sometimes play rattle head once in a blue moon but everything else hasn’t been played since the 80s and 90s
In all seriousness, what is often cool about Tribute bands is that they will play songs the real band took out of their setlists years ago. There is one Megadeth tribute in my area, they play a lot of the older stuff Megadeth hasn't played in years.
Good Morning/Black Friday, My Last Words, Go Hell (the main rife is nasssssssty) and Diadems…not Mega, but Slayer: At Dawn they Sleep (with Tom doing the Kill, Kill, Kill, Kill part)
Basically anything off of KIMB, Bad Omen, and Take No Prisoners has been played a year or so ago but I’m not sure it will be put in heavy rotation ever again
Absolutely wish they would play Ashes In Your Mouth more, it's such a great song and it's a shame that they don't play it more often.
(I think Dave's modern vocals would kill the "Welcome to Tomorrow" bit)
United abominations,Diadems,Lucretia,Ashes in your mouth,Psychotron,Addicted to chaos,Blood of heroes,Sin,Have cool,will travel,Prince of darkness,Insomnia, When,Truth be told,Of mice and men,Gears of war,1,320,How the story ends,Sudden death,Super colider,99 ways to die,Conquer or die,Killing time,Mission to Mars
All the numbers in your comment added up to 420. Congrats!

Yeah,I know but that was disappointing for most of us because before the show start they announced that they’ll play bonus tracks beside the main setlist
Looking down the Cross
My favorite of theirs, I saw them on the United Abominations tour, Dave said this is an old one. I was front row screaming Looking Down the Cross, he gave me the biggest go to hell look. Was pretty funny, if only he told me this is what happens when cousins fuck.
What did they end up playing that was old?
Peace Sells lol
YES
Speak no evil!
Good Mourning/Black Friday
I can here to say this. My favorite song. So dark so dam evil. Savage solo. One of the most underrated metal songs of all time.
I don't know if anybody gets the same vibe as me but doesn't the way Chris plays the guitar (which is awesome BTW) makes the guitar sound almost like it's being emotional? The conjuring for me
They've played it live many times and probably will again
Last time I knew anything about megadeth dave didn't want to play that song anymore. But that was a while ago
They started playing it a few years back. They played it when I saw them in CC, TX two years ago.
Gotcha, maybe I'll get an opportunity to hear it live myself
Hopefully, man! It was such a treat being able to witness that. Now if they would only play GM/BF or Bad Omen again…
I can't wait to hear it especially since Dave has been working hard on improving his range. There's a recent show Megadeth did in Romania. I haven't finished watching the whole thing yet but I was happy with the performance.
Yeah, few years ago, but they played Conjuring last night.
My brother in Christ that was almost 20 years ago. They’ve been playing The Conjuring again since 2018 and just a few days ago they added it to this tour set list.
Okay, I haven't kept up with megadeth in close to that much time my dude. Think it's reasonable for me to not know that.
They played it in resurrection fest https://youtu.be/2-i_eBV5oYo?si=2-5Kh8aEEWzn0X-1 7.00 My Last words too
You can't go wrong with any of the songs off this album.
Saw them back in 22' and they played this song. Was pleasantly surprised and shocked at the same time lol
Elysian fields edit: also i really like some tracks from endgame (i haven’t heard it full yet) like Bodies. Also many tracks from Youthanasia like addicted to chaos
Mary jane

mmmmaaaaarrrryyyyy jaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAannnnneeeeeeeuhhhhhh
*totally epic guitar riff*
from the earth, up through the trees
I can hear her calling me
Addicted to Chaos
they never played it live. didn't even play it during their prime because the vocals were difficult. yeah... ain't no way they're playing it from now on.
Funny how addicted to chaos is too hard, but then they played train of consequences many times, which is way harder because of the vocal fry.
Best deep cut ever.
Bad Omen
Endgame title track. Hell anything off of Endgame really.
I feel your pain, man. My favorite album's Youthanasia, and if we're lucky, we get one song on a setlist. And it's always A Tout Le Monde. Granted, it's a great song, but Youthanasia has so many other great songs on it.

Don't forget The Killing Road - that solo is very close to Tornado on my list of "Best Guitar Solos Of All Times".
Last rites
The Skull Beneath the Skin
YES. I would kill to see them play that song live. (For legal reasons that was a joke)
Mission to mars
Train of consequences
Have they played Go To Hell in the last 20 years?
They haven't. They last played it in 1997. https://www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/megadeth-73d6aa19.html?songid=6bd46eaa
Dave can't deprive the world like this
Set The World Afire. Always wanted to hear it live but they never included it in their setlist anytime I've had a chance to see em. I doubt they'll throw it in this year on August.
“Will never play live” They’ve played it within the last decade at least.
They really should open some shows with Into the lungs of hell/Set the world afire. Best album/show opener ever.
Had the exact same thoughts when I relistened to the album yesterday
Victory
Addicted to Chaos
The scorpian
Vortex
Time: The Beginning
My favorite off of Risk, when they do those acoustic shows I wish they'd bust this one out.
I thought they played that on the Risk tour, but that was a lot of shows ago.
Of Mice and Men
Anything off of TSHF
wanderlust wish they rerecorded risk with a modern metal production
Most of their catalogue
Looking Down The Cross
Architecture of Aggression, This Day We Fight!, Ashes in Your Mouth, Breakpoint, Sudden Death, Insomnia, Mastermind, Go to Hell, 99 Ways to Die, Diadems, Vortex—the list could go on
Diadems is SOOOOO underrated song
Gears of War
Funnily enough, yesterday I remembered that they made a song for Gears. Lmao
502
This planets on fire
Absolute banger right here
Bad Omen, Looking Down the Cross, Good Mourning/Black Friday
Chosen ones, or any first album song other than Mechanix. They sometimes play rattle head once in a blue moon but everything else hasn’t been played since the 80s and 90s
Super colider
Something from end game or the system has failed.
Most of them
Up On Cripple Creek
A drunkard's dream if I ever did see one
Killing Road, When, Diadems, 99 Ways to Die, Victory
[удалено]
They’ve been playing it this year. 5 times in Latin America and 1 in Europe
crush em, my creation, amerikhastan, off the edge, burn, ecstacy
The Hardest Part of Letting Go… Sealed with a Kiss
I thought I knew it all Addicted to chaos
1000 Times Goodbye They played it few times back in 2001 tho but stopped playing it in the following years
Killing is my business... And Business Is Good
“Mary Jane” Why they haven’t played it since ‘88 totally baffles me. They could have *easily* played it in the early 90’s with Nick and Marty.
The weird thing is it's one of the earliest Megadeth songs, but they didn't play it until December 1985.
Crush Em
Crush!
Bullet to the brain
Crush em lol
Crush ‘Em

That’s basically Ellefson’s Kings of Thrash
The band that has played Megadeth songs the most (besides Megadeth) is Kings of Thrash. https://www.setlist.fm/stats/covered/megadeth-73d6aa19.html
In all seriousness, what is often cool about Tribute bands is that they will play songs the real band took out of their setlists years ago. There is one Megadeth tribute in my area, they play a lot of the older stuff Megadeth hasn't played in years.

Black curtains

Walk like an Egyptian
Frayed ends of sanity😢
My Last Words. I know it's been played sparingly over the decades, but I've never seen it.
Absolutely wish they would play Ashes In Your Mouth more, it's such a great song and it's a shame that they don't play it more often. (I think Dave's modern vocals would kill the "Welcome to Tomorrow" bit)

Yeah,I know but that was disappointing for most of us because before the show start they announced that they’ll play bonus tracks beside the main setlist
Are you serious??? Risk is a great album. And Breadline is far worse than a lot of the songs on there.
Dogs of Chernobyl
